    WOW! Huge polyps on those pick diamonds! Or are they even pink diamonds! I am definitely going to follow ur advice! I am having algae issue in one tank and probably not enough flow! The problem with that especially with a nano is how do you handle a lot of flow with corals that dont like much? Gorgeous zoas! Gear video!

    • @RespectTheReef
      @RespectTheReef  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much. Yes they are.
      Corals will adapt. But if you are getting way too much flow which is hard to do. Get a smaller return pump or cut out the wave maker and only use the return pump

    Gday mate, great content! I love the way you’ve scaped you rocks for coral especially the zoas, it looks really natural and how I will be doing mine. The little Chanel’s, nooks and crannies look great and way better than just plonking on the sand scattered and untidy like you see in so so many reefs. Do you have a build vid? Do you have an issue with detritus in all those nooks and crannies?
    Regards Duzzy 🇦🇺

    • @RespectTheReef
      @RespectTheReef  Год назад +1

      I appreciate the kind words. I have some early videos but no build video. I just shaped and chipped away rock until I found the piece I was looking for. No I don’t have much detritus issues. Maybe a few issues reaching algae on the glass without sticking my hand into the tank.

    • @RespectTheReef
      @RespectTheReef  11 месяцев назад

      I have a Fuge and I think that helps a lot. If you need a boost run gfo it really helps. You can get chemi pure blue which comes in a bag with gfo and carbon and set that in your filter basket. If you want to get fancy with it you can get a media reactor and put gfo in there. If you want the cheapest way. Buy gfo in bulk and media bags and make your own gfo bags. Gfo strips away phosphate really well. I use chemi pure blue myself

      @@SilentBiscuit17 remove manually and use reef flux by blue wet rx. Great stuff. It works great. Only thing is you have to take out your macro algae if you have a refugium. I added a full dose after manually removing and a water change. And a half dose the past couple of water changes. Going to give it another 2 weeks then add my macro algae back in. Copepod, fish, coral, and invertebrates are all happy and healthy.
