Colors aren't trademarked. Use of colors within defined paramters/categories are though. So hex away.

Voxel Right. I also remember that. It also wasn’t this person, this person originally wanted merch that says “crunchy,” like it was shown on Lauren’s Hot Cheeto rebrand.

I wasn’t hugely into the Starbucks rebrand (I’m probably just used to the original 🤦♀️) but that coffee bean rebrand is SO MUCH BETTER.
I dont think youre the only one, i think its mostly to do with the legibility of the "a" being seen as either an "o" or "e". Logotypes in general are usually well received if they're more "clever", but the design soluton was fairly obvious and didnt contribute much to the overall brand.
To me, the S in the logo reminded me of skittles, not starbucks 😅
Agreed. It’s really amateur design stuff~ Was expecting WAY more since she was featured on FastCompany.
yea same here. It's actually rebranded already and is perfectly executed as it is today. Rebranding it is like going for a suicide mission.

ooo yes!! I would love to see maybe Fanta or something like that, i've always thought their logo was kind of weird. I also would maybe like to see Pepsi?? Their logo also has began to seem dated for me.
On the other hand, if those seem a little extravagant, Welch's, Mountain Dew, Big Red, and some others just have some plain old text across the can lol!!

i wasn't super into the starbucks redesign but the coffee bean and folgers were excellent
Starbucks has one of those logos that stay pretty consistent over the years. Maybe they do small tweaks with letter spacing and stuff. I don’t see it changing too much anytime soon
The Starbucks one was there for the clickable thumbnail ;)
The folgers logo was really nice! Though, I do miss that blueish shadow that was in there. It added kind of a weird peppy kick to it that made me associate those reds and yellows with the morning time, if that makes sense.

For some reason the Folger's badge reminds me of an old, like, 50's or 60's gas/oil logo

Lane lol it’s not everywhere in the US but it’s pretty popular! it’s just another coffee chain

It’s originally a Korean coffee shop, so it’s spread mostly on the west coast :)

The coffee bean logo WAS AMAZING. Wish that was actually their logo. The heart bean and leaf is so cute and simple

It's neat to see graphic design vs the sketching and character design I do in my spare time. They're vastly different but equally entertaining to watch the process of.
Unpopular opinion it seems when I read the comments buuuut: I loved the Starbucks rebrand! Well done!
Same it’s very minimalistic. But I do like the mermaid more than the S. But the color scheme is perfect and better than the original.

I like the text version of Starbucks that you made but I'm definitely going with the old circular shape they did before, maybe add more details to the 'S' or replace it with a close up of the mermaid idk. But the coffee bean one was a huge improvement.

I don't like the new Starbucks logo. i think the mermaid is more iconic than the S. And you should have tried to make the Mermaid more modern. Originally I thought you were just going to free her from the circle design. The Coffee Bean one was really cute and I liked the changes on it.

I will say the starbucks one reminds me of the iconique converse all star and a street wear brand logo instead of like a coffeeshop or food place

I agree but the colours worked well and her design on the cup was really nice just replace it with the mermaid and it would be PERFECT!M
The color scheme was great. What I had a problem with is the S, isn't necessarily brand recognition. I wouldn't see the S and know that was starbucks. Honestly I would have removed the mermaid from her holding frame and then gave her a more modern, maybe hipster mermaid look. With some kind of updated pose.
the icon for folgers just looks like a gas station icon.
Your Starbucks logo looks great. Their current logo is so iconic I don’t think they could ever change it that much but I really like the reimagining.

Curves, like a lot of curves, like the whole thing is curves, the sexiest shape is a spiral

Love the coffee bean but not a fan of the new Starbucks one. Love Folgers too I just wish you incorporated more of the blue

I actually really like the starbucks rebrand - the color palette is beautiful and I like the idea of simplifying it because it's at a point where the company is recognized enough that they don't need an elaborate design to draw attention

Love the Folgers redesign it has a nice modern vintage look to it, but the colors (especially the middle with the beige) looked just like the Toblerone logo lol.
honestly these leave me so amazed with the result and it makes me wanna get in to graphic design a lot more! you are just so entertaining to listen to and it’s so nice watch you work :) keep up the great effort!
