You should redesign movie posters! I think your style would look bomb on a poster
Christina Radford yessss
Christina Radford hell yeah
Christina Radford omg yes! Amazing idea!
Christina Radford omg i hope she sees this bc that's such a good idea!
this is actually a cool idea! i’ll think about it :))
can you put my life on photoshop and fix it
im tryin to fix mine every day lmao
SIGN ME UP
Your life is too messed up.. it can‘t be fixed.
Just kidding. :)
I have never related to a comment so much
Jonathan Devon awwwww That’s mean
the word “cheetos” starts to look really weird after staring at it for a while lol
aila ruth i was really getting freaked out by it after a few hours haha
aila ruth Yeah! And when the S is cut out looking at the word Cheeto makes me think, “What is this?”
@@KelLauren This always happens to me, too. I was so happy when I discovered the term for the phenomenon while listening to, "A Way with Words". It's called "semantic satiation". :)
that happens to every word, it’s scary
the word milk starts looking SOOO weird after 10mins
when you revealed your version of Chester my jaw dropped
I wasn't expecting you to be the real Tabby. Your music is amazing. Keep it up man!
666 likes. Congratulations
HEY YOUR PIC IS THE MYSPACE GUY!
bro i want a shirt that’s white with just that “crunchy” on it. it looks SICK
thank you ;)))))
I'd buy that
Same like I’d wear that
Or "I'm into that" merch ;)
That wiuld look so cool yess
i love the grainy look it reminds me of hot cheeto residue
im so glad someone got that :')
tia w yes that’s exactly what I was thinking of. The packaging even has the Cheeto powder
this would be so cool as a large "vintage" shirt from the 90's
it'sjust avery yesss!
Girl stop prefacing your work so much, you're good at what you do which is why people follow you. You don't need to apologize for anything!
Agree 100% with this. If someone isn't in to something you do, that's on them and their personal taste, and not a failing of yours.
She is actually a very poor designer from a technical and aesthetic standpoint.
@@JKStone234 "very poor" on what authority did you come to this conclusion.
@@mathewlopez1169 I manage a branding agency in Washington. Her designs suffer from neglected legibility, kerning, balance, contrast or simply respect for the essence of a brand and their customers. There is no business or marketing strategy in these designs and many of them look rudimentary and unsophisticated. I am surprised more people don’t point this out.
@@JKStone234 of course its rudimentary, as she said, at this point, she worked 50 hours a week and was just trying to make a fun video, which they accomplished
After watching your videos I feel like I want to become a graphic designer.... and I’m a chef lol
you can _cook up some cool designs_
Ill see myself out lmao
same here
nothing is impossible !! go for it and you won't regret it
literally me rn
a chef is an artistry on its own.
I love how "flamin' hot" looks! I would love the whole thing as a poster
Congratulations on 100k!
thank you!!
“i feel like this could be cool if it‘s done right“
- me with every single outfit I‘ve ever worn
Diana Bayer i called *myself* out
When she said "Organize your layers. It keeps you sane" i felt that.
Also - ghost pixels are a real thing!
I love how long the videos are, personally. I feel like the shorter the video is for things like this, the more the art form gets lost in translation.
olivia martinez oof
I saw a comment where someone said they wanted this as a poster and honestly... same??
right!
Watched in 1 sitting and it was the perfect length, I loved seeing every step and creative decision and it ended up being very therapeutic seeing it all come together
Challenge: Redesign something using MSPaint.
H Mulford omg that would be so funny
@@melodyhaviland9393 but not impossible
When I saw the dissolve effect? layer? being used i was like oooh that's a really interesting in comparison to the branding style of the current cheetos. Since you seem to wear a lot of cool streetwear maybe considering doing some streetwear logos or even athletic logos?
i'm a graphic design student and sometimes i feel like i'm not good enough to do this job because many of the people who go to uni with me are already 100% better than me. i always felt like i needed to be also an actual illustrator to make it into the business (lol) but i never realised that i can work with illustrator and photoshop like that!! i'm not really that comfortable with the softwares yet since in school we focus more on the ways that graphic design impacts society and its history (like you said in one of your videos) but i'm hoping to get better soon. watching your videos has definitely inspired me and helped me understand more. i'm definitely going to buy a tablet (even a cheap one since i'm still in school and i don't work) but i sometimes struggle with the mouse so i think it would be a good thing. your videos are really really interesting so please keep posting them! (i know it takes a lot of time and work tho). anywayyy, i'm so glad i found your channel today and i can't wait to see what you do next :))
i know how you feel.. but stop comparing yourself! i'm sure you're a great graphic designer but comparing yourself is just going to make you feel bad your designs and illustrations also offtopic but you're gorgeous
best ever oh i know, i always compare myself to others and i’m aware of the fact that i shouldn’t but sometimes i just can’t help it, especially when it comes to graphic design since it’s a very competitive field. i’ll finish university approximately in a year and a half and i think it’ll be better once i’m done and can start actually practicing and possibly working on my own. thanks tho 🥺
Not being happy with the work you create just shows that your technical skills haven't caught up with your taste for quality design. Luckily for you, taste can't be taught, but software skills can. Just keep plugging away and understand that when you see people like Kel working through ideas and creating cool design, that it is the culmination of a lot of work that you will one day achieve as well if you stick with it. Don't be too hard on yourself and just make cool stuff every day!
Cody LaFond exactly! i know that i’m just starting and i need a lot of time and work to actually get better and make stuff that i’m confident about. i’m definitely gonna stick with it because i love it. it’s just gonna take some patience and time. thank you so much!
You and I are in the same boat! Hey design sister!
The longer I looked at the word “Cheetos” the less it looked like an actual word lmao
I’m obsessed with your vids btw ur rad
Carly Wilson the life of a designer lol! i’ve seriously looked at the word “used” for so long that it felt crazy. picking fonts or doing type work always kills the words it’s kinda funny
The phenomenon’s called “jamais vu”! (French for “never seen”)
Loved so many things:
the length of the video (keep doing these please if you can)
the redesign
your process
your cats
and your old jonas brothers tshirt
:) can't wait to see more!
Larissa Murillo thank you! and actually, it’s not an old jonas brothers shirt, it’s a new one i designed to look old! you can get it on tour if you go see them! ❤️
Kel Lauren wait i saw it on their website but i didn’t know you designed it! That’s so dope!
Congratulations on 100K!! With your talent, it won’t be long before we’re celebrating 200K!
thank you!!!
Issa good day when you spend 40 minutes watching someone redesign cheetos
Nobody:
Kel: D I S S O L V E
i feel attacked
I really love these videos! I also really like how this redesign turned out, but I do feel like the title of Cheetos and crunchy gave off a much more retro type vibe, whereas the Flamin' Hot was much more the modern indie vibe you initially set out for and the two texts just seemed to be battling against each other. Also, Chester feels a little forgotten to me way down on the bottom of the design, just some criticism! Congrats on 100k, and can't wait for more videos!
MagicalMerry this is exactly what i was thinking
@@oX3aMeRXo I agree, there's so much beautiful detail in Chester that I wish could be given more attention!. Overall typeface choice, color scheme, process and refinements 10/10 :)
MagicalMerry you put how I feel into words
i think he's right where he needs to be. burning in fire
These videos are so interesting and entertaining! I love seeing your thought process. The final product turned out great! It’s extremely different from the original but it still feels like a true Cheetos bag!
i am SERIOUSLY waiting for the marketing department of any of these companies to contact you and hire you for real! this is AMAZING and honestly it's time for a rebrand of everything you've redesigned so far. these videos are so fun for me to watch as i prepare to do my creative work - i'm a composer and this gets me in the headspace to take risks in my writing process and see where it takes me. thank you for your art, friend! it's beautiful
she’s like a female version of Kurtis Conner
LOL
Looks like Chester is crawling out of hell bringing with him scorching delights.
hi!! just wanted to say your videos are so inspiring!! i'm gonna be a senior in hs and am currently applying to art school to study graphic design! seeing you and watching you work at live nation (im a musician and an overall music lover too) is so amazing and COOL and very inspiring :) it makes me feel like my dreams can happen too! so thank you!!
oooh where are you planning on going?
yay! you go girl, keep it up!
Made it to the end. Keep posting long videos! People can skip through or bump up the playback speed. I love watching your process and you’re great at describing everything. Very entertaining

OMG AJHAHA
this is insanely good. i love it so much. i really wish this was the actual packaging now LOL
however i would say i think you added a bit too much near the end and should've stuck with how it was around 30:00 in but thats just my opinion
Your videos make me revive my passion to graphic design... The same passion that college killed 2 years ago, so thank u for that
I’ve been a graphic designer for almost 30 years. I enjoy your videos, and while I don’t always agree with your design decisions I alway love the thought process you put into everything. The fact that you have the energy to rebrand stuff just for fun is super impressive! Personally I love the longer format. Keep it up. Thanks for helping me get excited about design again.
You absolutely nailed the Chester illustration!
About the length of your videos: dude, as an aspiring graphic designer, I LOVE seeing the process behind your stuff. Keep up the good work!
Hey, I just started watching you with your redesign of coffee brands. I don’t know anything about art, let alone Digital art, but you inspired me to try and I love it and loved the relief/relaxation it gives me. Thanks! P.s love the video, can’t believe you are doing this with a full time job! (I’m the girl in the picture, lol I use my husband’s premium)
I love your long formats!!! It's really cool to see the process because no one just comes up with the final design, and seeing how you try all the options is so great!
I seriously love your content! I discovered your channel a month ago and as a -soon to properly be- graphic designer I find really interesting to see how you approach each redesign, and everything that goes into it. keep up the good work! :)
What a talented queen. I start my first year of a graphic design program in like two weeks and watching your videos makes me super excited to begin!! Def gonna buy some of your merch!
If you did your merch with that awesome hot cheetos logo, i’d die! Loved it so much 🥰
i find these videos SO encouraging and helpful in learning more about the process of design in a really fun way. genuinely thankful for the length of in depth walkthrough
my gosh pple can’t stop complaining i love ur design videos i watch them even when theyre long .theyre so useful and as a graphic designer i care for these details u show . thank u
the one dislike is the old tiger.
This is the first time I watched a 40min video in one sitting. Really loved it, hope you make more in the future!
I made it to the end! Dude I just found you a couple days ago and I have CHUGGED THROUGH every redesign video. I do love your later versions with more of a company history and walkthrough of your process/direction. Im also so appreciative of your insta stories promoting POC designers and typographers and what not, as well as promoting all varieties of human in general. Youre a boss.
Oh also. Before Covid I had worked in several hotels- maybe international hotel brands or travel brands woild be a fun batch of redesigns?
Cool. Have a great weekend 🤙🏼
I looooooove these videos! I’m majoring in graphic design and I just find this soooooo fascinating. Also I love the longer videos!
As another graphic designer, I really do love your content. I feel like I can turn my brain off, enjoy, and still learn some new stuff. Most graphic design content on youtube is just teaching, serious, & zzz.
the queen posted!!! ilysm
Love this! Absolutely enjoy seeing you articulating all your design decisions and showing your process and vulnerability :)
I've been absolutely bingeing these while making a random logo concept, it was interesting to see you do your thing while I was doing mine. Loving your design videos!
“Organize your layers, keeps you sane.” Lol so true haha.
I love your redesigning videos so much! Their so relaxing to watch
literally loVe these videos,, the process, the length, everything & the fact this is done on drained creativity is insane
Gurlllll I love your long ass videos, I often have them playing while I’m designing stuff myself ❤️
congrats on 100(and 2)K!! You deserve it, flamin' queen
Only Kel Lauren would be able to make me watch a 40 minute video on redesigning a chip bag.
Love the long videos! Really appreciate the work you put in and love your design work !!
I love these videos, they’re so fascinating!! You do a great job, and the video length is awesome! Can’t wait to see what you redesign next!
You have no idea how much your videos inspire and help design students like myself! Thank you for existing omg💕
don’t apologize for the video being long ! SAY YOURE WELCOME INSTEAD !! your creativity is beyond amazing!
You're so talented! Love your videos! Loved designing sports team logos and uniforms as a kid so this stuff hits home! Keep it up @Kel Lauren!
Your videos are amazing! I totally understand the length, designing is a process and you’re teaching me (a novice undergrad) so much, as well as reminding me why I decided to pursue graphic design! Please keep making videos, even if they’re 30+ minutes 💕 Much love from Miami 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
These videos are always so chill to watch I love them :)
i love your rebrand videos SO much!! u are such a good graphic designer 🧡
thank you! appreciate your kind words
The amount of work you put into this video is insane, I watched through all of this and enjoyed each minute of it. I loved that Chester and dissolve brush tip!! Keep up the great work and thanks for allowing us to have the honor of watching these!! That blooper in the end though 🤣🤣🔥
LOVE THE LONG VIDEOS GIRL! YOURE AMAZING 🥰
listen, as a graphic designer, watching someone else design something for 40 minutes straight was... so therapeutic. good job!
Totally it's really nice to watch someone else's process how they solve issues and the technique/tools they use.
made it to the end! I love the design!!!
this video popped up in my recommendations and i didnt expect to sit through the entire video yet i got so interested in it, you did an amazing job and you really introduced me to something new ! ❤️
You are dope! Enjoying the long form content and redesigns! This design and the Sprite design both are wonderful.
redesign logos using ms paint.
Dude at first I was like „lol there is nooooo way I am going to watch the whole video“ AND NEXT THING I KNOW IS YOU SHOWING THE END RESULT AND I .. shook.
Honestly love this one so much! And it’s definitely inspiring me and helping me learn as I’ve always has the idea of graphic design in the back of my head but you’re honestly making me consider it more seriously. Keep up the amazing content! You’re so talented and your designs are so great.
I've been watching your videos and this was my fave so far! It was so cool to see this process and I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it allll
could you do a video talking about your favorite graphic design books or just art books in general? also love this video (:
I love your graphic design videos... but if you feel like branching out I'd love a "what I wear in a week" or like an ootw from you 🐈🥰
It would normally be hard for me to sit through long videos like this but your personality is so chill and flowy? I'm not even that interested in graphic design but this video made me subscribe!
I personally love the length of your videos! They're so relaxing for me and I love watching your whole process :)
I was waiting for my little sister to get out of school. I was so entertained that I didn't realize I was watching for 40 minutes! Thank you.
U know when you look at a word too many times you start to question whether the word is a word
So inspiring and interesting to see your process! Chester looked AMAZING! Would love to see more character redesigns in the future!
I find it so incredible to watch you create these videos. You can tell that you are very passionate about what you do.
These redesigning videos make me so happy!!!!! love you❤️❤️
I really wanna become a graphic designer, and your video's inspire this more and more. Amazing work ❤️
Living for these redesign videos, love the long format as well:)
I really love how long your videos are! they are perfect to watch on the side while working :)
Made it to the end ✌️ was really good, love the process and the design 🔥
This came out amazing! Also I love your jobros shirt lol
LiveLoveGlee95 do you know where it’s from?
Jojo T @liveloveglee95 i made it! it’s available on tour if you go see the jonas brothers!
I started watching your videos yesterday (got lucky and it showed up in my algorithm I suppose) and now I can't stop!!! I watch them all thru the end :) I've started studying in graphic design this year and I just love to see the ''behind the scenes'' of this kind of process. I feel less lonely in my struggles. So yeah I'm really learning with you so thanks for sharing that, it's awesome. Hello from Montréal xx
Loved the video! And yes I loved that you kept the video long to watch all the little details. Keep up the awesome work dude :)
i actually really love these videos. and the "flamin hot" test reminds me of the taco bell sauce packets.
your work is so GOOD! i really want to be a graphic designer when I'm older so these videos are great 🧡 you should redesign nike, adidas and vans (they don't need it but I would love to see your take!)
Thank you for showing your process! I tend to feel very self aware when someone is watching me work because I feel like a lot of people who or not in the industry expect to see the finished product from the beggining and this is exactly what the normal process is: trying and trying until it makes sense. Anyway, I loved it, it looks really cool 💖
Loved the end result!! Thanks for giving us insight into your work!
Its 2am, im hungry, you made me even more hungry and you also made me want to learn graphic design, and now i want cheetos with your design on it
*i love your redesign!* It packs all the same energy and excitement of the original, would love it on a poster or shirt!
this was so relaxing to watch. i watched the whole thing and it was so cool because it shows your creativity, love these and your videos:)
I really appreciate how long and detailsd your videos are, I’m just an amateur who enjoy experimenting on ps and just watching this one video teach me a lot of things!
