Stamped concrete overlay.
In this video we're resurfacing a concrete floor with a stampable overlay that looks like 16" barnboards.
This concrete floor was badly damaged from spalling, pitting, and cracking.
We first used a self leveling overlay from Sakrete to resurface the damaged floor. After that cured we could use the stampable overlay from Butterfield colors (T-1000) to do our final barnboard floor.

That stampable overlay looks great! You guys made it look so easy, although I’d bet it’s not that easy…
The pride in your craft and the finished product really shines through, even in your video work, narration etc. I worked many of my teen years in the 70’s on construction sites with my Dad who worked his butt off as a self employed tradesman so I have a solid understanding of the effort and committment. Wow that turned out awesome. Your videos are helping demystify Concrete. Since finding your RUclips channel I tend to watch your videos weekly - Then it hit me, “I know this guy”. I use to work the front at O&P Glass and you helped us inset a couple brackets to make bringing in those huge glass pallets way safer.

How will this process in material hold up for outdoor applications... I have a concrete deck and porches to do... Great video
You Definitely know what you're doing. ..I wouldn't even have the nerve or patience to attempt doing stamped concrete. Seems like too much can go wrong, like if it's too soft, or gets too hard, etc. ... The finished product looks Incredible👍, like you could actually get a splinter.😂

Can this stamp able overlay product be used in exterior applications like patios and walkways?
Free lesson:
You grind old concrete not to make it more coarse to bond better but because when you float new concrete it rises cement slur on top which is more weaker and lose. With grinding you remove that lose layer and expose harder material which all top layers can bond better grinding also removes dirt and grime.
Why use primer, doesn't matter how well you vacuum just grind floor it will still have dust on so primer "glues" that lose dust into old slab cause nothing adhere well to dust and also makes that surface to less water permeable so water that is added to stamping stuff remain in mixture as long as possible to help it cure.

Hi just acouple of questions about the stamps. If theres 10 in a set are they all different or do they repeat? What's the reason for the different colours of the stamps? How do you imprint an area smaller than a stamp eg at the side of a room or in a door way. I see you have a flexible stamp for the ends.

If my original cement slab isn’t too terrible, couple nail holes and cracks, would I self level and overlay and stamp? Or could I just stamp the self leveling concrete? Or just overlay with gauge rake and stamps?

Love your work and your Chanel, I bought one of your classes and learned a lot when first stamping. How would you price this overlay.
So you used the grey overlay and clear liquid release with some powdered color release agent. What color was that powdered releasing agent? It looked black. Is that dark charcoal. I love the color how it turned out. Great Job!
Check out a vacuum attachment called the whale tail, captures the dust while you’re mixing
I know, we just didn't have it with us!
Can you use that? Self leveler formula combination. On a. Real rough floor and still be? To run a floor Jack on it and not Bang it up and ship it up.
