Not at all. It's a standardized letter that gets sent to EVERYONE whose charges are being dropped. Those three paragraphs are literally pasted into EVERY such letter. It has to contain that language, that way people know all the relevant legal issues involved. It's not a threat. It's simply HONEST, TRANSPARENT, AND FULLY INFORMATIVE. The person being sent the letter has a RIGHT to know that dropped charges aren't necessarily gone forever, even if the DA has no intention of EVER reviving them.
It was and is a threat Aaron read the letter as a person mistreated by police covered with false charges then have them dropped but when you look for attorney help to sue you get this letter how would you feel . You must be in or associated with law enforcement to have this attitude.

More brilliant police work. A simple situation a fairly competent teenager could resolve turned into a pointlessly violent confrontation by an unhinged thug.
Here's how I handle bad customer service... I leave a 1 star review on the googles and then never go back. I have never thought to call an EMERGENCY number to report bad customer service to the government. I have also had zero weaves pulled out of my head by anyone.

The press works with law enforcement to sweep this type of situation under the rug. Before yt and other social media we never saw anything about all of the things that were going on.

They're terrible. One almost broke my arm when I told him he couldn't search my backpack. He said I was being a smart ass. I looked at his partner and said "you're just going to watch him do this?" His partner just laughed. I hate LVMPD. They watch other cops assault people and do nothing just like what happened to this lady.
I must have gotten the two good cops in the whole city. I was late to work and was doing over 70 in a 45 for a couple of blocks to beat the lights that were very long. They were pissed at first (understandably) but let me go after running me in the system. They did it really fast so I wouldn't be late to work. I was pretty shocked.

The letter from the ADA sounded like a threat to me. Saying if you take this matter any further we will reinstate these charges against you. They know the officer did wrong, and probably told her

Not at all. It's a standardized letter that gets sent to EVERYONE whose charges are being dropped. Those three paragraphs are literally pasted into EVERY such letter. It has to contain that language, that way people know all the relevant legal issues involved. It's not a threat. It's simply HONEST, TRANSPARENT, AND FULLY INFORMATIVE. The person being sent the letter has a RIGHT to know that dropped charges aren't necessarily gone forever, even if the DA has no intention of EVER reviving them.
If that isn't a threat then the world has been using that word wrong forever.
If they reinstate this they will have major consequences 😆 this is open and shut

It was and is a threat Aaron read the letter as a person mistreated by police covered with false charges then have them dropped but when you look for attorney help to sue you get this letter how would you feel . You must be in or associated with law enforcement to have this attitude.

@@africacarey depends on where you are in Europe because there are a lot of countries over there where they are way crazier than the US and just about the entire continent of Africa, just forget it. South and Central America, pretty much the same, the police are paid off by criminals and usually turn the other way, but will extort the shit out of foreigners, same with Mexico. So, in all, maybe half of Europe had decent police, just about the rest of the world has police that abuse authority, it's human nature. People only capture bad police interactions anyhow, 98 percent of American police interactions go of without any problem at all....

Absolutely. This is one of the clearest indications for self-defense. This was unprovoked violence by an armed individual. The officer seemed extremely mentally unstable. Anyone would feel like their life is threatened by an attack like this. It is very strange to me that other officers are not eager to get rid of this type of criminal. It makes all of them less safe.
You also have the right to fistfight a polar bear, but you'll lose if you choose to exercise it. Cops will simply murder you and never be held accountable for it if you ever act on this "right," and we all know it.
