V originally composed "Blue and Grey" for his own personal album but when he played it for the guys they liked it so much he decided to give it to them for the album "BE". This is my fav song from the album.
“I just want to be happier” This line resonated with me, and helped me understand that it’s okay to want more in life. This is the song that I have on a constant loop on the BE album 💜💜💜. It’s such a beautiful song

One of the most beautiful songs off their album BE. Their way to help their fans with their feelings by sharing their feelings through music. The performance during their concerts is so beautiful.
I find V's voice sooo soothing. The first solo I heard from him was Sweet Night, the OST from the k-drama Itaewon Class. I can listen to his voice, close my eyes and just float away.
with a lot of people and army who deal with depression & anxiety their music brings comfort. with bts having the same feelings at times really let's army know they're not alone. just as army gives them support. their performance of this song is really beautiful.
Blue and grey was produced by V originally for his Mixtape. ( Co-produced by his Producer friends NIve, Levi and their BTS producer Hissnoise) 💙💙💙 When tae composed it, it was in korean lyrics but he wanted it to be in english that's why his friends helped him to translate it. The english version of this song was first and last heard during their "In The Soop Season 1" it was just a snippet but I literally cried when I heard it. 😭Tae played this song to Bangtan, then the members encouraged him to include it to their BE album. The song was translated back to korean lyrics with some english in it but some of the lines was changed according to tae during his Be-hind the scene interview. The line "Where's my angel" is the most meaningful to Tae, because if you didn't know, tae believes in his Angel all the time, whenever he have to face challenges and decisions in life, he always search and seek help to his angel. He has a pure and innocent soul. 😇😭 Lastly, the line "Don't say It's okay cause it's not okay" was from suga korean translated lyrics and that was the reason why tae changed some of his original lyrics in korean. This song has and have touched so many armys around the world specially when their BE album was released during the pandemic. And he says the dawn is there now so he's going to go to sleep, but the words he says are "good bye"? this song breaks my heart, absolutely beautiful.
Blue & Grey is a very special song to me, a song that was supposed to be a part of Tae's upcoming mixtape, he showed us a short English snippet of it in "IN THE SOOP 1" before official release as an ot7 song. This song has been a part of their PTD concerts for awhile which I recommend watching (the transition they made between the song and black swan is mind-blowing). Also Blue & Grey was so loved since release of BE album, it was the highest charting b-side song on bb hot100 (=13) which was so impressive!! When the song came out I felt so comforted, and the fact that Tae was feeling depressed at that time made it even more emotional, he said in weverse magazine: "rather than just some stranger saying cheer up, i think its better to say something like (you're depressed lately? me too. we're in the same boat. wanna talk about how u're feeling? you wanna feel better, right? i know, but sometimes it feels like you’re being washed away by a whirlpool of stress). i want the listeners to hear me saying that to them."

Blue and Grey is among my one if not, the most favourite song. I can't express how much I love this song. And some facts: It's a song by V. This song was supposed to be on V's future "Mixtape" but when members and the team heard it, they encouraged it will be great to have it on BTS next album. So was on BTS album "BE". Blue and Grey is about V's phase when he was going through burnout. So he said he didn't wanted to let go of this feeling just like that so he wrote abt it and made B&G. It's such a beautiful song.💜💜💜
he wrote the lyrics of his own part and the chorus as this song was intended to be in his mixtape. i believe the rap line wrote their own verses though.
@@icebergi the rappers are always supposed to write their own parts. It's what every rapper in the world do. But B&G still was is and will always be Taehyung's song tho. It's his own story and actually was for his own mixtape which he gave up for the album.
@@streammyuniverse322 I kinda disagree. Suga and RM were telling their own story, not Taehyung's. They both have spoken so much about depression and anxiety and reaching out for help because of them. They are telling their own story, no one else's.
V originally composed this song and the members loved it so they include it on their BE album while the rapline includes their own verses...💜 Kudos to all of them who worked hard to have such awesome masterpiece...🥰💜
Another gift from BTS to help us deal with the Pandemic. V's lyrics perfectly encapsulate how so many of us have been feeling. Such a sad, beautiful song. Notice how the video is shot completely inside. They filmed it during lockdown. "Blue & grey" is like a time capsule from 2020. Love you guys! BORAHAE DJ & MCA.💜💜
Tae wrote this song when he was sad😭❤ This lyrics always gets me😭😭 He wrote the song 1st in English for his mixtape but as members liked it they put it in the album
This song hits me directly 🥺 V's lyrics are always like this 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 it's his solo song and supposed to be a full English song for his own mixtape... But members liked this song so they included this in BE album 🥰💜
Their whole album BE for me is about mental health. I cried when I heard this song. Just the lyric that the ground feels so heavier is completely relatable. It's amazing that they're singing about feeling alone themselves while sending the message that we don't have to feel alone.
That's because Tae was in a fragile state of mind when he wrote it. It's like his confession, brought to life by the other members' voices (& his own).
@@ipurpleu1668 It's obvious that the rappers will write their own verses because they're rappers and they do it in all their songs (most of them) they're just highlighting the main writer and composer of the song , we don't see the vocal line doing those things as much as the rappers so appreciating the vocalists won't effect the rap line 160+ songs credits
@@ipurpleu1668 V predominantly wrote the whole song before it was even added to bts' discography. The rap line adding their verses doesn't change the fact that he was the predominant writer, composer and co-producer of the Blue & Grey. The great rap line writes and adds their verses to almost every BTS song till date where rap exists as RM & Suga are the predominant lyricists and producers in bts so to say. So there's nothing to get so vexed or exasperated with V's appreciation 🤷🏾♀️
I think you would absolutely love V Winter Bear. It has a lot of instrumental or Snow Flower which has a real jazzy Christmas feel. I've said it before and it's so true that V is an old soul who loves Jazz and R&B. His solo music is different and totally him.
Right....is been long time i'm not read the translation lyrics of Blue & Grey, i forget how beautiful is Yoongi rap part, he referring " human is animal of regret" same lyrics from People by Agust D from D2 mixtape
@@mdmAsm V worked on it with other friends outside their group. It was his version. For his mixtape. For this version rapline came and completed it. The rap in the video is written by them. I wanted give credit to them for their work.
I love 'Blue & Grey'. It's just so beautifully haunting. Every song they did for 'MTV Unplugged' was amazing. Hope you react to more from it. They did a cover of Coldplay's 'Fix You' and it was stunning.
Maybe it's because it was my first album comeback, or maybe it's because that album was so perfect for the mood of the world when everything just... stopped. Either way, BE, the entire album, will always hold a very special place in my heart. There are no missteps. That album is just perfect in both the arc of the storyline moving from confusion to depression to reckoning to hope, and in the content of the songs.
If I could pick any one song off their BE album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Blue & Grey. It's such a beautifully melancholic song, and even before I read the lyric translation and knew exactly what they were saying, it spoke to me on such a deep emotional level when I heard it.

This is my favorite song on the BE album. 💜 That sound at the end of the song is actually the producer NIve's voice altered somehow. He did a RUclips video talking about the production process with V and broke down everything they'd done in the song.
in the BE album the song titles are written in each member's own hand writing instead of being printed, the song title was my first tattoo, this song means so much to me from the first time i heard it and so when i saw that the titles of each song were written by the members i knew i had to make it my first tattoo
Hi. I am really happy that you listened to Blue and Grey. It is one of my favorite or maybe the favorite song by BTS. I fall in love with this song every time I listen to it. In the comments are great explanations about the meaning and behinds of this song. As it is mentioned, new album is coming, be prepared. 💜
This song was originally written by V with the help of his friend and was completely in English it was supposed to be in his mixtape but when other members heard the song they wanted to include it in this album and the final lyrics with korean were written by Suga.❤️ Obviously RM and Hobi wrote their own parts. Blue and Grey is such a beautiful song full of emotions this song made me fall in love with BTS and made me Army💜
This is from their BE album. Made during COVID19. Everything on the album was done by BTS themselves. Even the music video. Life Goes On is also from this album also DYNAMITE. Those 2 songs were at number 1 at Billboards. Watch the making of the album. Then you have the right information or their pressconference etc. My favorite is; Fly to my room. Like your reaction as usual. Warm greetings from The Netherlands 👍💜🍀🤘🇳🇱🌷🤗
This is my burnout jam. Haha, there are days when i just can't seem to pick up my mood. Like it's constantly raining type of mood. I love this song because it teaches us that sometimes it's okay to feel this kinds of emotion. It's normal. You're not the only one.
BTS' concert performance is so good. I gasp every time it starts because this song is so beautiful! V really bit the mark on this one. V feels his mixtape isn't good to release yet but I can't imagine how he could feel that way with so much talent in him.
Another great song by BTS. I frickin love this song on how it wordlessly portrayed on hidden things inside your heart that made you feel sad. This is my to go song wherever I feel like releasing my sadness. On the other note, DJ's 2 sec smoldering action is like a little kid whose parents always asked them to show their own antics when in presence of another family members 🤣🤣🤣
One of the most impactful lines in any song...I just want to be happier. Wonder how many people that resonates with, I know it does with me. Beautiful song, beautifully sung ❤️
Blue and Grey song lyrics it's not a simple lyrics of any song. It's an emotion, feeling of Taehyung what he wrote in his life's lowest point ( during depression time) , the feeling wrote by V on his dairy what later he convert into a song During covid time when he interact with fans on weberse, he realized many fans suffering from depression so he promised to make a songs what can heal us, inspired us and also calm us. Sweet Night to blue and grey the journey of prod, writer and composer Kim Taehyung was amazing
For Blue & Grey, if you want to watch off camera I recommend their live performance from december last year when they had their first shows in...LA was it? That staging is my favorite, I found it really cool how they hid their faces while singing, instead showing recordings of them singing, and it looked like they were looking at themselves in the mirror but what we saw were not reflections of their faces but their souls singing. At least that was the idea I got.
I actually find the image in the lyric video suitable. Like the wave that's gonna come for you and engulf you when you are feeling blue & grey. An ominous sight. Even if it's a 1m wave, you'll drown in that state ^^ Glad you liked it. Check their live performance in the concerts (prob you won't be able to react to it, but just watch it, it's beautiful too) ^^ and how it leads to Black Swan. Amazing (I hope you can remember from your cinema visit last month!)
Blue And Grey Originally from V's mix tape and his solo song It was originally in Full English But BTS love this song snippet like army loved it when V share it on " Soop show "
That synthy sound towards the end of the song, i think it's a theremin (MCA will likely know what that is). That or maybe a synthesized organ perhaps. I don't know for sure though, but that's my guess. If you guys want to hear another ballad from BTS. This Blue and Grey performance at MTV Unplugged has other songs in it too from that set! They performed a cover of Fix You by Cold Play that was just lovely. It's part of what led to them collaborating with Cold Play for Cold Play's song My Universe.
One of my fav songs! I recommend you also check out the making of video for Blue & Grey ( ruclips.net/video/7M-VdE3prFc/видео.html). It's really interesting how the song was produced!
Blue & Grey is so vulnerable and emotional... Taehyung poured his soul with creating this masterpiece. Then J-hope's verse just completely wrecked me. It's one of my favourite BTS verses of all time. Short but left a lasting impact. Sadly, you guys didn't catch the meaning since the lyrics are too fast, and it would be such a waste to miss out on a legendary verse. I hope you guys get to read this: *“This lump of metal does feel heavy* *A grey rhino that is coming toward me* *Absently, I stand with vacant eyes.”* It's from the book The Gray Rhino: How to Recognize and Act on the Obvious Dangers We Ignore. The "gray rhino" is the term that Michele Wucker first used at the 2013 World Economic Forum as a meaning of _“a highly probable, high impact yet neglected threat.”_ the opposite phrase of black swan _"unpredictable or unforeseen event, typically one with extreme consequences."_ Michele Wucker, the writer & policy analyst world economist who coined the term herself- thanked J-hope for expressing it so beautifully. Hobi used "gray rhino" as a metaphor for _depression_ or _anxiety._ And it's just so poetic of him... it added a new perspective to the term. In a BANGTAN video called "BE-hind" Taehyung interviews J-hope and they discuss the concept. 🐿️: “It’s also a term used in economics… It’s a term used to describe a danger that you’re aware is approaching, but you neglect and ignore it. Grey rhino is used to describe those dangers. And when I used that term it was like having a face-to-face with myself. The job I have has many dangerous factors, and there are other dangerous factors. But for these parts I have to carry with me the dangers I can’t be sure of. So instead of being afraid of it, I wanted to face it. And that’s what I wanted to convey.” 🐯: “When I saw the lyrics, ‘gray rhino,’ I told our producers, ‘Holy moly, baam. Wow, grandfather!’ I think I’ve used all the exclamations I can think of!” Tae was so amazed by Hobi. I relate 🙋♂️ (who wouldn't?) my life's impending downfall is upon me so it's hitting me straight to the heart, I could literally feel the grey rhino's stomps closing in. I could always feel it. It's such a scary term tbh... Anyways, thank you for the reaction!! 😚 Blue & Grey has a special place in my heart, such beautiful instrumentals. I kinda knew you'd love it. Taehyung outdid himself. They all did great with this track. Thanks again!! 💜
Thanks for your reaction. You reacted to almost all the b-side tracks on the BE album but I'm still waiting for your reaction to the title song "Life Goes On"...

The other songs you mentioned were written for BTS not personal albums. Every single member has said it at some point or other. Now move salty a&& b!tch. A whole ot6 mf. Move away from my mentions.
V was the one who wrote lyrics to this song.. Its beautiful.. And at the same time it feels gloomy.. 🤍
Suga, Rm, and j-hope were all the writers of their verses.
The lyric written by *B T S* - V* is so poetic, made our hearts wrench.- Beautiful song!
For this song V is the one that wrote the lyrics. Its so beautiful 💜
he wrote the lyrics of his own part and the chorus as this song was intended to be in his mixtape. i believe the rap line wrote their own verses though.
@@icebergi the rappers are always supposed to write their own parts. It's what every rapper in the world do. But B&G still was is and will always be Taehyung's song tho. It's his own story and actually was for his own mixtape which he gave up for the album.
He composed it too and I believe he produced it as well
@@streammyuniverse322 I kinda disagree. Suga and RM were telling their own story, not Taehyung's. They both have spoken so much about depression and anxiety and reaching out for help because of them. They are telling their own story, no one else's.
@@ipurpleu1668 doesn't change a single fact that Taehyung produced the song. And it's his song
V originally composed this song and the members loved it so they include it on their BE album while the rapline includes their own verses...💜
Kudos to all of them who worked hard to have such awesome masterpiece...🥰💜
Another gift from BTS to help us deal with the Pandemic.
V's lyrics perfectly encapsulate how so many of us have been feeling. Such a sad, beautiful song.
Notice how the video is shot completely inside. They filmed it during lockdown. "Blue & grey" is like a time capsule from 2020.
Love you guys! BORAHAE DJ & MCA.💜💜
They just performed this song amazingly, yesterday and last week, on their Vegas concert 💜
Tae wrote this song when he was sad😭❤ This lyrics always gets me😭😭 He wrote the song 1st in English for his mixtape but as members liked it they put it in the album
whenever there's a rap on a song, a member of the rap line, if not all, definitely has written the rap parts.
This song hits me directly 🥺 V's lyrics are always like this 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 it's his solo song and supposed to be a full English song for his own mixtape... But members liked this song so they included this in BE album 🥰💜
Beautiful song 🎵
I love it when Jimin and V harmonize together. ♥️
Same here. My favorite part
Their whole album BE for me is about mental health. I cried when I heard this song. Just the lyric that the ground feels so heavier is completely relatable. It's amazing that they're singing about feeling alone themselves while sending the message that we don't have to feel alone.
i love how fragile this song sounds
That's because Tae was in a fragile state of mind when he wrote it. It's like his confession, brought to life by the other members' voices (& his own).
The song is written, composed & Co-produced by V. Blue and grey just holds an ocean of emotions for both Him and Army! His Voice heals you 💜
Co-produced it too
RM, Suga, and j-hope all wrote their own verses and Suga helped write the chorus. Give credit were credit is due.
@@ipurpleu1668
It's obvious that the rappers will write their own verses because they're rappers and they do it in all their songs (most of them) they're just highlighting the main writer and composer of the song , we don't see the vocal line doing those things as much as the rappers so appreciating the vocalists won't effect the rap line 160+ songs credits
@@dyritti V didn’t write nearly the whole song though. Just the chorus, which Suga actually helped write for the BTS version.
I think you would absolutely love V Winter Bear. It has a lot of instrumental or Snow Flower which has a real jazzy Christmas feel. I've said it before and it's so true that V is an old soul who loves Jazz and R&B. His solo music is different and totally him.
If you want to continue the “ballads”, I would recommend Blue Side which is a Jhope solo. He sings and raps. Please listen to the full version!!
Also daydream
There's an actual video of the producer explaining how him and Tae created this song (the instrument......)
Co-producer... because Taehyung is also a part of production
One of my favs from BE album! The guys' vulnerability encapsulated in a gorgeous song. 💜
Taehyung wrote this track for his mixtape and they decided to add this song on their recent album BE
V and the rapline wrote it guys. Give credit to all. It's not easy to write such beautiful lyrics.
Right....is been long time i'm not read the translation lyrics of Blue & Grey, i forget how beautiful is Yoongi rap part, he referring " human is animal of regret" same lyrics from People by Agust D from D2 mixtape
@@bts_is7 The whole song is so beautifully written. Yes.
@@lakshi9276 agree
@@lakshi9276
The rap line wrote their own rap line.
The song is V.
@@mdmAsm V worked on it with other friends outside their group. It was his version. For his mixtape.
For this version rapline came and completed it.
The rap in the video is written by them. I wanted give credit to them for their work.
It is a beautiful song, I’m glad they put it on the BE album with OT7 performing it. 💜💜
You should also watch the live version. They sang this on their recent concert in Las Vegas. Or on their Los Angeles concert last year. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Pls, react to ''Heartbeat'' by BTS before they drop the new album. Not many Armys know this song and I would rly look forward to it.😭
I love this song
One of my favourite
this song is so beautiful💜💜
Seriously, I love this song so much 💜 It’s cuts right to my heart!
BTS r really really good with vocals to rap and rap to vocals transitions
If I could pick any one song off their BE album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Blue & Grey. It's such a beautifully melancholic song, and even before I read the lyric translation and knew exactly what they were saying, it spoke to me on such a deep emotional level when I heard it.
Beautiful song for such a time because of Covin restrictions. Written by V, RM, Suga & JHope. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Main writer is still V. The rap line wrote only their respective verses.
Beautiful song💜
V did an amazing job with this song, very emotional and his voice is perfect for things like this
This song gives me so much emotional...
#V💜's composed it and wrote the lyrics for "Blue &Grey" 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜They liked the song, even he wrote it for his mixtape ,and included in 'BE" album.
Thanks for this! I guess we're doing all their MTV Unplugged 😀
This song is so full of emotions. I literally cried when I first heard this song.
fun fact: taehyung wrote this song for his mixtape and it's originally written in english and taehyung played the original version of blue and grey in "in the soop". The members heard it and it got picked for songs to release in their album BE so taehyung translated it in korean
Thank you sooo much for this reaction - I was waiting for this. :-) - Jimins first part is my favourite part of the song.
Everytime I`m hearing this song I can`t handle my cry. So simple words but they HIT SO MUCH so I`m started to cry. Amazing, incredible song
Oooh, *Fly to my room* is such a good song~
This is my burnout jam. Haha, there are days when i just can't seem to pick up my mood. Like it's constantly raining type of mood. I love this song because it teaches us that sometimes it's okay to feel this kinds of emotion. It's normal. You're not the only one.
This is song is a masterpiece. I could listen to it on repeat no matter what mood I am in. Just glorious.
THis shreds me every time I hear it.
Beautiful song.... 💜 Butterfly is so beautiful too and so overrated.
We are Bulletproof - The Eternal!!! MV and Live :)
On the other note, DJ's 2 sec smoldering action is like a little kid whose parents always asked them to show their own antics when in presence of another family members 🤣🤣🤣
okay mca said he's into ballads. someone quick send them your eyes tell !!
So lovely 7 tanies angel voices 💜Thank you for sharing BTS moments with us🙏👍💜 Please reaction lyrics and live the "Answer: Love myself" 🙏🙏🙏😘
The vocals! Omg!! 😳🫰🏻
One of the most impactful lines in any song...I just want to be happier. Wonder how many people that resonates with, I know it does with me. Beautiful song, beautifully sung ❤️
Finally! My favorite BTS song. I mean they have good pop and rap songs, but damn the slow and soulful song are the best!
Blue and Grey song lyrics it's not a simple lyrics of any song.
It's an emotion, feeling of Taehyung what he wrote in his life's lowest point ( during depression time) , the feeling wrote by V on his dairy what later he convert into a song
During covid time when he interact with fans on weberse, he realized many fans suffering from depression so he promised to make a songs what can heal us, inspired us and also calm us.
😭This is my Favourite track from BE album this and Life goes on and Telepathy love them 💜✌️
that song is by our boy Tae Tae.
I actually find the image in the lyric video suitable. Like the wave that's gonna come for you and engulf you when you are feeling blue & grey. An ominous sight. Even if it's a 1m wave, you'll drown in that state ^^
Glad you liked it. Check their live performance in the concerts (prob you won't be able to react to it, but just watch it, it's beautiful too) ^^ and how it leads to Black Swan. Amazing (I hope you can remember from your cinema visit last month!)
The live performance of Blue and Grey on their PTD tour is amazing. Try to watch it when you can
Blue And Grey Originally from V's mix tape and his solo song
It was originally in Full English
But BTS love this song snippet like army loved it when V share it on " Soop show "
Love this song ❤️❤️❤️
오늘 비오는데 딱 좋네요 위로받는 느낌🥹🥹
That synthy sound towards the end of the song, i think it's a theremin (MCA will likely know what that is). That or maybe a synthesized organ perhaps. I don't know for sure though, but that's my guess. If you guys want to hear another ballad from BTS. This Blue and Grey performance at MTV Unplugged has other songs in it too from that set! They performed a cover of Fix You by Cold Play that was just lovely. It's part of what led to them collaborating with Cold Play for Cold Play's song My Universe.
Ésta canción hace que se me pongan los pelos de punta, especialmente en la última melodía 😔
This song PTD las vegas day 3 wow
The duets was beautiful i didnt want it to end❤️
This song 💜
The intro is so cute🥺💙
One of my fav songs! I recommend you also check out the making of video for Blue & Grey ( ruclips.net/video/7M-VdE3prFc/видео.html). It's really interesting how the song was produced!
Don’t have any words to convey but you have my subs. I’m being proud army now and will always.
Blue & Gray!!! My fave from Be ;) J-hope’s verse is my fave part and also love the duets ;)
And when the song transfer into black swan 🤩👌
방탄소년단 ㄹㅣ뷰해 주셔서 정말 감사하고 고맙습니다..^^늘 행복하세요..^^조은영상 잘보고갑니다..^^🤭🤭🤭
Harmonising together- Vmin & Jinkook
I just love the part❣
I love the Blue & Grey💙
Blue & Grey is so vulnerable and emotional... Taehyung poured his soul with creating this masterpiece. Then J-hope's verse just completely wrecked me. It's one of my favourite BTS verses of all time. Short but left a lasting impact.
Sadly, you guys didn't catch the meaning since the lyrics are too fast, and it would be such a waste to miss out on a legendary verse. I hope you guys get to read this:
*“This lump of metal does feel heavy*
*A grey rhino that is coming toward me*
*Absently, I stand with vacant eyes.”*
It's from the book The Gray Rhino: How to Recognize and Act on the Obvious Dangers We Ignore.
The "gray rhino" is the term that Michele Wucker first used at the 2013 World Economic Forum as a meaning of _“a highly probable, high impact yet neglected threat.”_ the opposite phrase of black swan _"unpredictable or unforeseen event, typically one with extreme consequences."_
Michele Wucker, the writer & policy analyst world economist who coined the term herself- thanked J-hope for expressing it so beautifully.
And that’s what I wanted to convey.”
🐯: “When I saw the lyrics, ‘gray rhino,’ I told our producers, ‘Holy moly, baam. Wow, grandfather!’ I think I’ve used all the exclamations I can think of!”
Tae was so amazed by Hobi.
This song saved me during the hardest part of the pandemic 😭💜
Now that you are into ballads, not sure if you already reacted to Coffee (jazzy song) and Butterfly. Those two songs are really good.
