When I watched Serendipity live I was transported. I had expected cute soft live versions based on mv trailer but was taken aback by the gentle yet powerful impact of Jimin's voice and his achingly beautiful dancing. I never thought it would be such a sensuous performance. I felt like I was watching once in a lifetime performance and felt incredibly fortunate. I feel so sad knowing I can never watch it live. The fun part is when you realize that all these songs tell together a story: Serendibity is the beginning: the falling in love that feels like destiny. D.N.A. is when first love seems perfect like soulmates/destiny/fate. But already in Outro: Her questions appear. In Singularity it is beginning to become clear what is wrong but we refuse to aknowledge it "did I loose myself or did I gain you?". The imagery used of the lake is the uncounsciouness/shadow that they later used on "The Map of the Soul" especially their "Black Swan" performance on James Cordon. In Fake Love it goes from "I don't know" to "I do know why": we tried to be our best, perfect self and inevitably lied about who we are. The other had never the chance to get out true self and we have trouble to regonize ourselfes anymore. It hurts so much that the relationship breaks. Outro: Tear hold that hurt and anger of the destroyed relationship. Only in Epiphany it is finally clear that we have to love our imperfect soul first before we can "love" (any kind of love: family and friends included) others. Here we also begin asking about the "Map of the Soul" because to love ourselves we have to know ourself first. All this on the 3 "Love Yourselfes"-Albums: Her, Tear & Answer. When I watched Serendipity live I was transported. I had expected cute soft live versions based on mv trailer but was taken aback by the gentle yet powerful impact of Jimin's voice and his achingly beautiful dancing. I never thought it would be such a sensuous performance. I felt like I was watching once in a lifetime performance and felt incredibly fortunate. I feel so sad knowing I can never watch it live. I've seen yt reactors saying they want to attend BTS concert after watching it.

The fun part is when you realize that all these songs tell together a story:
Serendibity is the beginning: the falling in love that feels like destiny. D.N.A. is when first love seems perfect like soulmates/destiny/fate. But already in Outro: Her questions appear.
In Singularity it is beginning to become clear what is wrong but we refuse to aknowledge it "did I loose myself or did I gain you?". The imagery used of the lake is the uncounsciouness/shadow that they later used on "The Map of the Soul" especially their "Black Swan" performance on James Cordon. In Fake Love it goes from "I don't know" to "I do know why": we tried to be our best, perfect self and inevitably lied about who we are. The other had never the chance to get out true self and we have trouble to regonize ourselfes anymore. It hurts so much that the relationship breaks. Outro: Tear hold that hurt and anger of the destroyed relationship.
Only in Epiphany it is finally clear that we have to love our imperfect soul first before we can "love" (any kind of love: family and friends included) others. Here we also begin asking about the "Map of the Soul" because to love ourselves we have to know ourself first.

I love that a lot of the imagery of Serendibity can also be seen in D.N.A. For those who look there is many things to see.

Fun fact: Shawn Stockman (Boyz ll Men) attended his 1st BTS concert in 2019 at the Rose Bowl and was so impressed with the guys, especially Jimin's performance of Serendipity, that he sang the cover of this song (in Korean)! Here are the links to his cover and conversation with someone named "Q". Some people speculated that "Q" was Quincy Jones, but that was never confirmed. He has been a big fan ever since. He said it was the best show he has ever seen in his life! He made sure he and his daughter took a picture with the boys at the AMAs this year! Super sweet! Just wanted to let you know that you'll see a lot of comeback trailers, each BTS member when they get to have a new comeback (new album coming up) they release a comeback trailer first, which is a chance for one of the BTS members to do a solo song which will start the album. Its amazing! And such a cool idea, we always have to wonder whom will start each album when its comeback season and the video always drops before the main single which also has an MV and before the album
