Fyi. A- you have to have ether the anniversary edition of the game, or the update on special edition for this to be dragon anything. Normally it's like ebony or Nordic or other higher tier armor. B- you could have just gone through the Nordic ruins and found the stairs to the tower. C- for level 1 players, I recommend having a early game follower, like Fendall/Sven, or Uthgerd the unbroken, even Lydia. D-pending on play style, you won't be level 1 apon reaching Riverwood or anywhere else, so likely level 5 or so when you get there

@@labuse718 you might have a bug with it, or not procked the quest. Some times you have to get the quest to go there for the enemies to spawn. A common bug for me is that, of word walls not working till a quest for them is active. Or if I eventually start a quest for them they still show up even if I get them before. For such measures, just hit up the greybeards for word walls quests
Little warning I’ve seen this in the reply’s of a certain comment:if you didn’t buy the anniversary edition you won’t get it (ps: updated special edition also works)
I find it poetic that through the quest, a letter found while tracking the npc mentions 'dragons in mortal form', she likely didn't assume it could mean Dovahkiin when the first arrived in dragonborn armor.
note for those of you who AREN'T playing Anniversary, it doesn't mean you can't get in here for goodies in the original and Ultimate. this is one of the TWO spots to get Ebony weapons early. Arcwind area has the one handers, Lost Valkygg in Labarynthian has the two handers (and possibly the bow). you also get two dragons back to back. also, it's awesome hearing a drawl on a channel that isn't about cars, fishing, etc. imagine a nord freaking out at a Dovakhiin pulling a "howdy, y'all" on them...and how much it'd annoy the crap outa the Thalmor XD

@@Isaac.speirs not right away, of course, but I have gotten dragonplate pieces as early as level 32. I crank the crap out of my smithing *without using potion exploits* to get things done early.
I just picked this up at level 3. There is a much, much easier path to get to the armor, but you need your Physics Defying Mountain Goat Mount .. er .. I mean horse. You climb up the back side of the mountain from Helgen and come out at the foot of the stairs by the trap-at-the-door ruin. You ride into the tower and use your trusty Physics Defying Mountain Goat to block the door to the ramp. After grabbing the armor, hide until the skeletons give up and then sneak out the back side of the tower far enough to fast travel.
Its fairly easy to climb the mountain by feet, as a matter of fact i discovered it doing the "the cause" mission and now i always pick it up in my first 20 mins of each character if not for wear, for sale
@@ethantaylor9926 so I figured out when you go to creations all of them aren't enabled automatically you have to press "enable all creations" been running around dlc and main story with this armor just obliterating enemies
@epicxorca if you mean your creations tab I have no clue why maybe you didn't install the anniversary edition and only base game Skyrim in your queue idk about play station I've only played Xbox but I went to my game queue installed anniversary then went to creations and installed all and it's there and I've completed the entire game with all DLCs and more with this armor
Thanks for the Location , for me it was very easy , u can go by foot from helgen , follow the Road and then Jump youre way up the the Mountain , u need to fight 2 Draugr with Bows thats it. Get the Armor and Skidadel.
Hopefully if anyone’s confused they read this comment and understand this is an anniversary edition gameplay and guide most of the armor that is added through anniversary edition and the creation club mods can be higher level but are able to be collected at any point in the game this includes the Ebony armor that is added and most other armors that are added
If you do gold rings with the warrior stone and well rested (and have over 900 gold ingots which can be acquired in 15 minutes with the whiterun Doors duplication glitch) you can get to 100 hundred smithing very fast it all depends on how fast you can spam the button
There's a bandit camp with a palisade wall just north of Whiterun, where an axe with a +damage to animals enchantment can be found. It also is one of the locations of the Transmute spell, which you can use to make iron ore in to silver or gold, then make rings and necklaces with all of the gems you find. Since value of smithed item determines experience gain, you might find that more efficient than iron daggers. Also take note of the places where wealthy individuals leave their silver bars laying around, steal them, and smith with those. Making them in to bling clears the 'stolen' status off of them, so steal crafting materials as much as you like.
If you bought the anniversary pack for Skyrim it is included. Basically this armor is part of the Creation Club mods that Bethesda compiled to a package for people to buy in one purchase as part of Skyrims anniversary. This is just an addon that didn't actually came with the game.
In my recent main run as my Orc Berserker, I've literally sticked with the armor for months. I only recently found a piece of ebony armor with 50% frost resistance iirc to replace the boots for some added armor points. I kinda gave up on my main survival run, had my fun with it till lvl 50, so it was not a big loss to remove the boots for the resistance ones. Tho I did keep them.
This video is pretty disingenuous. For one, you cannot simply go to this location at level 1. You need to pick up the quest from an Innkeeper. A quest that you yourself completed in this video once you picked up the armor. A quest that is now very well known for being very buggy, causing the body to despawn and make the quest unfinishable. Redeem yourself here, put in the work to make a video showcasing EXACTLY how to get this armor, through the quest. And maybe tack on a bit about some kind of workaround for the bug, if you can find one.
I literally walked to the body one this character I did the full quest on stream but in this example I walked to the location I didn’t know about the bug you can only get it in the anniversary Edition of the game so I assumed those people didn’t have it

Tested on Skyrim Special Edition / Anniversary Upgrade - level 1 character - will fight Draugr Overlord and Draugr Wight Lord: will find skill book and skeleton but not the armored body. After that I went spelunking around and found out: this is a *creation club* mod that Anniversary Edition has _access_ to. "Alternative Armors - Dragon Plate", something I haven't bothered to load yet, so in my case the body of Bjormund Wind-Strider wasn't there. So note: *this is not in the base game* - you actually need to have the *creation club* mod installed. I saw this vid and decided to check it out because I've been playing a special save where I've been trying to figure out how long it takes to level all skills to 100 without exploits and without raising the character level. kind of a poops'n'giggles save to see how hard it would be to do given that it would restrict me from using most of the popular 1 - 100 skill tricks that people otherwise tend to use. (I.E. no resto potion looping or fast traveling while channeling a spell, no glitching through the world to loot vendor chests, no follower skill trainers, using followers to duplicate items, no menu glitching to sell vendors their own goods at a profit, etc. etc.) That save is convenient, however, for testing things like this to see whether or not you really _can_ do or find various things which a lot of tuber's tend to *claim* are available at level 1.
I have one question it did was not there all there was was a dragon the skeletons and the tower and I went up the tower and all I saw a a amorless skeleton
I always get Serrana as a follower and the bow of shadows as soon as I can. Also a few different enchanted armor pieces for maxing out smithing, alchemy, and enchanting ofc.
This worked awesome! And yes, you will need the Anniversary edition. Having this armor at lvl 8 is amazing. It helps to have some kind of magic weapon with you and a good supply of healing potions. You'll need it. I did find that if come in from the back, like he shows in the video, take out the two tower drugar and immediately get the armor and put it on then save! Once you've done that you can immediately go out and down the main steps to the arch where there is a crypt with the drugar death knight thing(I forget what its called). Take him out ASAP. You can the take out the dragon when he shows up. He's much easier to deal with once you have the armor on. The death knight is actually more of a threat at this point and you don't want him and the dragon both attacking you. You will die. Also, once down there, you can use the arch to hide under and force the dragon to land. Good luck.
@@Jamer6765 , lol. I'm no expert, but my guess is way to many mods. It one( or possibly a combo of several) may have caused the problem. In my " no way am I an expert" opinion, I'd say uninstall the mods then go get the armor and reinstall the mods after. Just a thought.
you dont have to scale the mountain, go to where the tomb is near the shout wall and theres a long staircase go up and turn right and walk up to the bandit fort
You can also get the dadric mail at level one also the unlike the rest of the armor the helmet is just your regular dadric armour Wich is so fucking cool I wish they had a weapon you get with it but no so I suggest finding a ebony weapon of your choice get the required items .go to windhelm there a celler that has a room where you can turn ebony weapons and armor into dadric armor Wich is so fucking cool . problem is always forgets what needed for it so just Google it
I went to the location where the dragon armor should have been, but didn't find it. It may have been because I died around that location and that may have somehow caused him to get deleted by the game.
you dont have to fight dragons until they get unlocked because you brought the dragon stone of bleak falls to the wizard in whiterun dragonsreach.. sometimes i just refuse to do bleak falls and play the normal world forever with only giants and bears
You forgot to mention that this corpse is only added by a Creation Club purchase. Alternative Armors - Dragon Plate. I don't mind too much, I still got a shout relevant to my build and a dragon soul (two of each due to other nearby dragon and word wall), but still annoying to fight thru the whole thing for nothing. Had to look up the npc corpse name to learn it was added by CC content.
I would make sure you have it installed.. go to the creation club tab on the main menu because I bought it and couldn't find the Myrwatch house and it hadn't installed it for some reason!
@@bryansapp8530 I had to go into the add ons and instal all the mods that come with the creation club stuff. There is a button that can download all the mods in one click I just did that and it worked.

I've obtained it on survival mode, level 9. It was bloody hard, failed it dozen times. But this armor makes survival mode easier, he's not freezing all the time :)
Maybe I should get the anniversary edition at some point. Also after you fought that deathlord under the open pyramidal structure where you fought the dragon, you were both close to a word wall and a couple staircases away from going up that tower with the armour, the mountaineering was not necessary. I advise sneaking up the tower, as it can contain draugr that can use Unrelenting Force, and it is deeply, deeply disappointing to climb all that way only to be yeeted off the mountain by harsh language.
so funny interaction with Bjormund. For rp purposes I wanted to start the game with the armor, without the leg work, but with immersive armors mod it was a huge pain to find it via commands. Bjorn however is easy, so I started my game, and spawned him him and expecting a corpse to drop at my feet. To my surprise, he was very much alive, and was throwing punches at everything as he seems to think everything is his enemy. Citizens, guards, the player, a poor chicken that never should have crossed the road, the mad lad was just giving hands to all comers. Sadly without a weapon his days of hapless murder came to a very quick end, but it was still funny to see this guy just pop in, yell 'I'll carve you into pieces!' then just start slugging everything that moved
Now I read it is only with anniversary edition you can get the armor! I only have the normal and wasted a half hour to get there and not find it, dude seriously! It was not until after following the guide and not finding it I come back and see the comments saying it's not possible for me! I am so mad! Tell us at the beginning if it requires something we need to have or what not so time is not wasted, thank you very much!
I did this at level four climbed up the mountain with a horse came up the wrong way, fought both the overlord and the dragon by myself with only ancient weapons and then I got the armor
I spent an hour beating the dragon and other enemies (I’m bad) and I came up to the guy and he was just a skeleton 😐 I have the correct version, as well
@@Gelatinous_Creature I found the problem. In my disc case, it said I had to enter the code for the Anniversary Edition to be installed. After u do that, go to the creator club and download everything
It's the biggest bummer to go up the moutain, see this epic place, fight the dragon, kill all the druegars just to go up the tower and realise only anniversary edition gets the armor there...
It should be known that if you do cheat this armor ( as in not starting the relevant quest it is tied to first ) you will loose out on two other unique enchanted items. The body will spawn in regardless if you start the quest but once you take the body piece or mail the quest is bugged and the two enemies that would appear with the unique items will not spawn in at that moment. You can take the other three pieces though. It also totally possible to just run past everything and nab the armor fast. No need to fight anything if done right.
Lol, i spent hours trying to reach the final spot (its my first time playing, and in the legendary difficulty, so you can imagine the struggle with the damn draugrs) and, in the end, the corpse of the dude with the armor didnt spawned.

I am on the regular Skyrim, and after MUCH trouble getting to this site, there is only a skeleton there with 1 gold coin (no Dragon Bone Armor)! I’m at level 59 on the PS3. I just read some other comments, and they are saying this is only for Anniversary Edition! When making gaming videos, everyone needs to say what platform you are on in the video (PC vs console), what version of the game, and whether they have any “mods” installed. I got this armor pretty early on exploring. It's definitely helpful and I was 2 handing anyway. I wish the armor looked different tho

If you are a Dark Elf it makes you completely immune

Have you have the anniversary edition you can check with all like the stuff you get and I'll tell you how to get it
I went up to the book and where the armor is supposed to be and all I found was an empty skeleton

I always get Serrana as a follower and the bow of shadows as soon as I can. Also a few different enchanted armor pieces for maxing out smithing, alchemy, and enchanting ofc.
This worked awesome! And yes, you will need the Anniversary edition. Having this armor at lvl 8 is amazing. It helps to have some kind of magic weapon with you and a good supply of healing potions. You'll need it. I did find that if come in from the back, like he shows in the video, take out the two tower drugar and immediately get the armor and put it on then save! Once you've done that you can immediately go out and down the main steps to the arch where there is a crypt with the drugar death knight thing(I forget what its called). Take him out ASAP. You can the take out the dragon when he shows up. He's much easier to deal with once you have the armor on. The death knight is actually more of a threat at this point and you don't want him and the dragon both attacking you. You will die. Also, once down there, you can use the arch to hide under and force the dragon to land. Good luck.

@@Jamer6765 , lol. I'm no expert, but my guess is way to many mods. It one( or possibly a combo of several) may have caused the problem. In my " no way am I an expert" opinion, I'd say uninstall the mods then go get the armor and reinstall the mods after. Just a thought.

you dont have to scale the mountain, go to where the tomb is near the shout wall and theres a long staircase go up and turn right and walk up to the bandit fort

You can also get the dadric mail at level one also the unlike the rest of the armor the helmet is just your regular dadric armour Wich is so fucking cool I wish they had a weapon you get with it but no so I suggest finding a ebony weapon of your choice get the required items .go to windhelm there a celler that has a room where you can turn ebony weapons and armor into dadric armor Wich is so fucking cool . problem is always forgets what needed for it so just Google it

I went to the location where the dragon armor should have been, but didn't find it. It may have been because I died around that location and that may have somehow caused him to get deleted by the game.

A just by leveling heavy armor you can get the ratings to 585 without improving the quality of the armor

you dont have to fight dragons until they get unlocked because you brought the dragon stone of bleak falls to the wizard in whiterun dragonsreach.. sometimes i just refuse to do bleak falls and play the normal world forever with only giants and bears

You forgot to mention that this corpse is only added by a Creation Club purchase. Alternative Armors - Dragon Plate.
I don't mind too much, I still got a shout relevant to my build and a dragon soul (two of each due to other nearby dragon and word wall), but still annoying to fight thru the whole thing for nothing. Had to look up the npc corpse name to learn it was added by CC content.
For some reason when I got to the tower the only dead guy I saw was the skeleton. I have the anniversary edition but my guy didn’t show up idk.
I would make sure you have it installed.. go to the creation club tab on the main menu because I bought it and couldn't find the Myrwatch house and it hadn't installed it for some reason!

@@bryansapp8530 I had to go into the add ons and instal all the mods that come with the creation club stuff. There is a button that can download all the mods in one click I just did that and it worked.

I've obtained it on survival mode, level 9. It was bloody hard, failed it dozen times. But this armor makes survival mode easier, he's not freezing all the time :)

Maybe I should get the anniversary edition at some point. Also after you fought that deathlord under the open pyramidal structure where you fought the dragon, you were both close to a word wall and a couple staircases away from going up that tower with the armour, the mountaineering was not necessary. I advise sneaking up the tower, as it can contain draugr that can use Unrelenting Force, and it is deeply, deeply disappointing to climb all that way only to be yeeted off the mountain by harsh language.
so funny interaction with Bjormund. For rp purposes I wanted to start the game with the armor, without the leg work, but with immersive armors mod it was a huge pain to find it via commands. Bjorn however is easy, so I started my game, and spawned him him and expecting a corpse to drop at my feet. To my surprise, he was very much alive, and was throwing punches at everything as he seems to think everything is his enemy. Citizens, guards, the player, a poor chicken that never should have crossed the road, the mad lad was just giving hands to all comers. Sadly without a weapon his days of hapless murder came to a very quick end, but it was still funny to see this guy just pop in, yell 'I'll carve you into pieces!' then just start slugging everything that moved
Now I read it is only with anniversary edition you can get the armor! I only have the normal and wasted a half hour to get there and not find it, dude seriously! It was not until after following the guide and not finding it I come back and see the comments saying it's not possible for me! I am so mad! Tell us at the beginning if it requires something we need to have or what not so time is not wasted, thank you very much!

I spent an hour beating the dragon and other enemies (I’m bad) and I came up to the guy and he was just a skeleton 😐 I have the correct version, as well

It should be known that if you do cheat this armor ( as in not starting the relevant quest it is tied to first ) you will loose out on two other unique enchanted items. The body will spawn in regardless if you start the quest but once you take the body piece or mail the quest is bugged and the two enemies that would appear with the unique items will not spawn in at that moment. You can take the other three pieces though.
It also totally possible to just run past everything and nab the armor fast. No need to fight anything if done right.
It took me a couple of tries cause I was only lvl 22, but I got it. Thanks for the tip.

Lol, i spent hours trying to reach the final spot (its my first time playing, and in the legendary difficulty, so you can imagine the struggle with the damn draugrs) and, in the end, the corpse of the dude with the armor didnt spawned.

@Senpai Jake - what version of Skyrim is this on? Or are you running mods? I am on the regular Skyrim, and after MUCH trouble getting to this site, there is only a skeleton there with 1 gold coin (no Dragon Bone Armor)! I’m at level 59 on the PS3.
I just read some other comments, and they are saying this is only for Anniversary Edition! When making gaming videos, everyone needs to say what platform you are on in the video (PC vs console), what version of the game, and whether they have any “mods” installed. It’s really frustrating with all these Skyrim videos I watch, and then go through the gameplay (only to find out it’s not on my platform or version). Thanks.

So, at level 1, you need to cross half the map, defeat a draugr deathlord and an elder dragon then you can find your armor! What level are you playing at, tourist level with no damage?
BRUh once you get the armor.. you are invincible against the dragon...
