Nemanja was the reason I started watching football and supporting United. People think I joke but it’s true. I once saw him play and was just hooked at him as a player. Controlled g aggression, skilled. And then I grew to love my team. Never stopped watching never will. Thanks for these two interviews Rio, Ste and Joel! 😍

I was at Nemanja’s last game at Southampton away and you could hear the chants a few kilometres away from St. Marry’s. Being balkan born and raised as well I know his personality without knowing him. He was an example, a warrior and seeing how lowkey he is now is even more of an example. NEEEMAANJA, OOOH!
I like how he's so down to earth and consistent with his points. We are privileged to see how is character off the pitch mirrors his astounding performances
This makes me emotional. I think there is something about overexposure in media for most former players that has taken the charm off their legacy. Nemanja, Berba...these guys were legends beyond appreciation and played during the peak years of my devotion to the team. Salute from India.
This has been the best interview from you guys. I've witnessed different pairs of center backs from Brucey/Pallister to now Varane/Licha. But the best of them has got to be Vida/Rio partnership. Thank you so much Rio for keep persuading Vida to finally do this interview. It was a joy for me coming from Malaysia and I'm sure to others all over the world.
Vidic....what a player and what a man!! Really loved the both parts of the interview. Made me so emotional when they were talking about all those great memories. ❤❤❤
I've been listening to various football related podcasts for a couple of years but none of them was this much special. Thank you, Mr. Vidic. And thanks to FIVE for bringing this legend. I've learnt a lot from him in these two podcasts. Cheers.
This is like a family birthday. Vidic is the birthday boy being lavished with deserved praise and attention. Rio is the proud dad, quietly respecting his boy. Ste is the doting mum, looking at the son like he's the greatest thing since the dawn of man. Joel is the other son. Didn't get any presents, everyone's basically ignoring him and he's probably off to cry after.
Respect to Rio and Vidic for this interview. On their day, they were easily amongst the top CB pairing in the world. I will never forget the 2008 Champions League final in Moscow and their performance. Still hurts as a Chelsea supporter.
I genuinely think it’s the first time I ever listen to a podcast where Ste is as silent as a doughnut. Two absolute legend of the game, fantastic podcast, eager to see more of this. Keep up the good work lads
The 'big bang' was a Nemanja Vidic tackle. This meant so much to me bringing Vidic on the podcast ❤️ Thank you both for all the amazing memories, Hands down the Best Premier League Cb Partnership 🤝🇾🇪
The best football podcast on RUclips! Thank you for blessing us with these two episodes 🙏 Vida is the prime example of what a captain should be in today’s modern game.
This was an absolute treat! That 07/08 team.. no words! Cheers for some excellent content with these interviews with my childhood heroes and absolute legends :D The interview becomes even better when you realised that Vidic always looks past Ste and on to Rio for the intire thing XD
This was one of the best football videos I've watched in a long time. Vidic has always been my favourite United player because of the 3 qualities that Sir Alex mentioned. Amazing to hear his opinions on various topics. LEGEND!!!
Rio and Nemanja the best centre back pairing ive ever seen. You guys were the rock that gave the rest of the team the safety to go and win games. Fantastic to see you both talking like this it brings back very happy memories of you both for me.
After watching both parts, getting an insight on Vidic, he's so humble, willed and determined, definitely no surprises why he achieved what he did, I would give my life to relive his era at man utd
Honestly, so humble, meek and very honest. They maintained the set standards, increased it more and it's sad over the years, the clubs standards dropped woefully. I hope United can bounce back so they can be proud too. I'll love to see his era again but well paid as true legends and servants of the club!
That Guardiola striker comment got me rolling. 🤣🤣🤣 Vidic is unintentionally witty. Love him a lot. Best CB partnership duo in the history of PL. #Legends ❤
Totally wasn't what i was expecting. Nemanja is so calm and soft spoken and talkative. The way we see him play football just painted a picture for me that he's either a solid rock of a character giving 1 word responses, or he's a bro-man chugging beer ripping shirts off shouting HOO-RAH all the time.
Thanks Rio, Ste and Joel, these 2 episodes were every United fan's dream. From the great Vida to the boss, it's nice to run down memory lane and to hear from the player who was in that situation's perspective. This was really dope. Appreciate you guys. GGMU 👹
Ste’s just in awe sitting between Vidic & Rio, and honestly I don’t blame him 🤣 What a player Vidic was, growing up seeing this pair made me fell in love with United. 10/10 podcast, getting the Boss on as well 👏🏼
As an Arsenal fan what I feel about the greatness in this guy is what many fans feel about T-Henry.What a defender, fighter, indeed determined footballer and warrior, much respect to this guy Vida 👊🏾
All these former United players interviews are mint. The long form format really makes a difference compared to a 10-20 minute interview you would see on TV. Keep them coming!
When Ferguson told Rio how Vidic was exactly what we needed cause our other CB was useless I just bursted into laughter. I was not prepared for that comment :) As for Vidic, he is just a year older then me. I was aware of his greatness since he played for Red Star. I was so proud of him when he joined UTD. I could not believe that Sir Alex Ferguson would rate one of our players so highly that he would get him to come to United. From there on, even before he was known to the whole World I would say to anyone who ever made a negative comment about Vidic after a bad game that Ferguson knows better then "you" and if he brought him there "your" opinion is irrelevant. What a player he was. I am both sorry and grateful that he given us his time playing for our national team as our FA was and still is corrupt to the bone. Nemanja, kapiram da ovo neces citati, ali ako slucajno vidis, hocu da znas koliko si nam ulepsao odrastanje. Ogromno hvala za sve!
I really appreciate Vida's humble and thoughtful approach to life. My respect levels for this man as a player and a person just went into the stratosphere!!!!! Amazing interview.
Superb episode lads, you will do well to top Vida. Watching STE sitting there in absolute awe of Vida was great, he couldn't keep the smile of his face at one point. Living every United's fans dream.
you are right. He was just smiling like a little baby. I could see how Joel enjoyed it himself. Who would not be happy sitting besides Vida and listening to him?
Absolutely sensational episodes with Vida. These are the episodes what really separate the channel from others. No agendas. Honest opinions and a great mix of questions. Can see the love between Rio and Nemanja. Brilliant fellas. Looking forward to the next ones ❤x
What a man! Listening to this he comes across exactly how you would want him to, being someone as mentioned in the interview who keeps himself to himself.
This was a joy to watch. Thanks again for this. You can clearly see why this guy is so respected...Apart from a world class defender he is a true gentleman and very well educated. Never a show off on and off the pitch but a beast on the pitch and a perfect example of what a Man Utd player should be. Thanks for the memories warrior ❤
I’m totally hooked on these interviews. First Evra, then Vidic!!! Love it!!! I would love more of the legends of the Prem, Europe….would just love it!!!!
Thank you Vida and Rio, you’ve lit up some of the wonderful moments that we had and I am one of the lucky fans that were able to witness this era especially that night at Moscow.
Coming from the Balkans, Macedonia particularly, Nemanja Vidic is like a saint to us, being a Red Star Belgrade and a Manchester United fan since I was 6 years old luckily for me it's a family tradition since my great grandfather, but Nemanja influenced so many people from here to watch and support United till this day. I know that his biggest achievement was to play and score against Partizan Belgrade in the Eternal Derby and he did, everything else after that is just additional making him the best CB that ever played in the Premier League (Sorry Rio, you're the second one in my list 😂). Great show, really enjoyed that, let's win the FA Cup and hopefully I'll win a jersey signed from the greatest CB duo I've ever seen. 😁

Vidic was not just a football player but an honest man. ❤
Very honest and humility personified despite being a big warrior on the pitch!
Eloquently put.
What a man, his response to his greatest achievement was too real
This has been the best interview from you guys. I've witnessed different pairs of center backs from Brucey/Pallister to now Varane/Licha. But the best of them has got to be Vida/Rio partnership. Thank you so much Rio for keep persuading Vida to finally do this interview. It was a joy for me coming from Malaysia and I'm sure to others all over the world.
Bereh boh
We need part 3. These 2 videos made me emotional. Thank you both for all the memories
Nemanja Vidic, absolute legend. Still one of my favourite united players ever. The word commitment could be replaced by Vidic.
Underrated comment hahahahaha
Could be😂🤣👌🏻👏🏻
😂
Respect to Rio and Vidic for this interview. On their day, they were easily amongst the top CB pairing in the world. I will never forget the 2008 Champions League final in Moscow and their performance. Still hurts as a Chelsea supporter.
This guy right here was the Drago in ROCKY 4 for Manchester. Absolute professional interview. LEGEND!
I bet Ste's feet were kicking with excitement that whole time.
Truly an epic show, thank you!
I assume you are ignoring Mario Melchiot & Titus Bramble for this??
@@Bonio84 bramble is world class pattern with bassong was the best
The best football podcast on RUclips! Thank you for blessing us with these two episodes 🙏
Vida is the prime example of what a captain should be in today’s modern game.
Unbelievable interview! Vidic hasn't aged a day. Fergie absolutely spot on with that Torres myth. Top class.
This was an absolute treat! That 07/08 team.. no words! Cheers for some excellent content with these interviews with my childhood heroes and absolute legends :D The interview becomes even better when you realised that Vidic always looks past Ste and on to Rio for the intire thing XD
I'm 31 and I grew up watching these legends destroy prem week in week out 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Same, great times
True, miss the good old time 😢… and we are watching Maguire now…
@Whosyourdaddy makes it worse because we have that donkey at back now. Praying we cut ties this summer
This was one of the best football videos I've watched in a long time. Vidic has always been my favourite United player because of the 3 qualities that Sir Alex mentioned. Amazing to hear his opinions on various topics. LEGEND!!!
Absolutely glued to both parts what a Legend Vida was loved hearing Sir Alex definitely need the boss on as a guest what a treat that would be.
The phone call where Fergie calls Rio useless is class, a true father figure of United❤️😂
Sir Alex's memory and recollection is amazing, By far my favorite interview by far
That Guardiola striker comment got me rolling. 🤣🤣🤣
Vidic is unintentionally witty.
It's somewhat weird seeing vidic calm and easy😂
He was captain 😅
Thanks Rio, Ste and Joel, these 2 episodes were every United fan's dream. From the great Vida to the boss, it's nice to run down memory lane and to hear from the player who was in that situation's perspective. This was really dope. Appreciate you guys. GGMU 👹
❤❤❤
Chelsea fan .. these two are legends of the game an absolute pleasure listening to their stories
Ste’s just in awe sitting between Vidic & Rio, and honestly I don’t blame him 🤣
What a player Vidic was, growing up seeing this pair made me fell in love with United. 10/10 podcast, getting the Boss on as well 👏🏼
I’m thrilled watching on a screen. This is a TOP CLASS interview.
As an Arsenal fan what I feel about the greatness in this guy is what many fans feel about T-Henry.What a defender, fighter, indeed determined footballer and warrior, much respect to this guy Vida 👊🏾
@Matt Gee 😂😂😂
All these former United players interviews are mint.
The long form format really makes a difference compared to a 10-20 minute interview you would see on TV.
Keep them coming!
Thank you Vidic and Rio for blessing us with such a fantastic childhood. Can't help getting emotional watching these videos.
Loved this. Everton fan here, Vidic is the best defender I’ve seen in the Prem. Aggressive as they come. 👌🏻
United til i die! Vida n rio the best, steve giz a shirt before Joel secret mufc fan tales one please.
Mufc forever
This was a joy to watch. Thanks again for this. You can clearly see why this guy is so respected...Apart from a world class defender he is a true gentleman and very well educated. Never a show off on and off the pitch but a beast on the pitch and a perfect example of what a Man Utd player should be. Thanks for the memories warrior ❤
I’m totally hooked on these interviews. First Evra, then Vidic!!! Love it!!! I would love more of the legends of the Prem, Europe….would just love it!!!!
Vidic thank you for everything. Absolute soldier. Class player. Class man. Very smart and switched on. This interview has been immense.
He was so good we tried to sign lots of Serbian players when he was captain. Remember Zoran Tošić and trying to get Ljajić at the same time.
@@sacred1827 yes I do Zoran Tosic was a baller at CSKA Moscow but they didn't succeed here, both of them.
@@PetarGochevski Ljajić ended up not coming. Something quite suspicious which we never found out the reason for. It was all supposedly done and at the last minute it was cancelled. They say it devastated him.
The legend is finally here after waiting for years love the legend on and off the field since young best duo no more defence after Ferdinand and Vidic
That dude right there is not a human on the pitch only those who watches him play can relate, I'm getting a goosebumps writing this. Good luck in your future endeavors ❤
You are right. You knew he would get the tackle no matter what. Play close and he finishes you
These two are the reason I started playing football and centerback. Goosbumps watching these two..
Imagine if Vidic was a London-born englishman with his abilities!
No matter what praise he gets, he is still seriously underrated, the likes of Jamie Carragher can sod off
John Terry would've only been remembered for his dubious conquests 😂
The fact you can here Ste breathing over both episodes! That whoop screaming for Ste to recover!! ….. literally amazing to have Vida on plus hearing Sir Alex at the end!! Pure emotion. Thanks for sorting this out it’s made my trips home from work even better! Keep it up legends
Love the way Vida's face lit up when Rio asked him what defender he likes in today's game. The guy is obsessed with defending. Legend
Trossard scored more goals to Van Dijk than Torres scored to Vidic, yet haters dare to compare them, shameless 😂 Vida was an absolute beast, and this interview shows he's an amazing person, what a great interview, thanks guys 🔥🔥
Very intelligent Vidic is. He will definitely make a good manager.
What a bloody phenomenal 2 parter that was.
Ste was WEAPONS GRADE FAN-BOYING and Kept smiling like he won a competition to be there!😂😂
I'm here for it, absolutely loved it man❤
The player was a legend and the man is an absolute legend, a really thoughtful man, thank you Vida 🔴⚪️⚫️
The best defending defender of the premier league era
Glad he played 10+ years ago. He wouldnt survive VAR era lool
@@kukunase1686 think about the attackers vidic faced and the attackers that are now in the prem case closed .
@@kukunase1686 all world class players adapt to the situation they’re in. I’m sure Vidic would have adapted his game to today’s requirements (aka Casemiro - plays the old school way but look how he gets away with it - master of the dark arts)
@@reginald6451 I just have. Are you claiming the attackers he faced are not at the same calibre as today? I'll name a few of these subpar attackers from his era then: Henry, Drogba, Van Persie, Aguero, Suarez. Torres, Tevez, Berbatov, Kane, Bale.
I loved the entire interview, watching Vidic after all this years brings a tear to my eye
Thank You Rio for bringing Vidic for the interview. Lots of love from India. Vidic you are the best!
Rio and Vidic are such a legendary figure of our great club. Miss them greatly
Obviously having Vida on here is beyond amazing, but to hear Sir Alex at the end there was magical. And what credit Vidic got from him, top podcast lads👏🔴⚪️
Fantastic conversation. Everyone who watched you two play together knows what top quality looks like. Everyone who watched you two play together, also knows that that level does not exist anymore at the moment. Evra is of course right when he say the United fan is smart and knows about football. We have seen multiple trophy winning teams throughout the years. Thank you for what you did for football, for our lives in that time and for what you are doing today. This was amazing. The comparison with other players today is just noise. They can't fool us. We know what quality looks like thanks to you guys. We love you!
Enjoyed this Interview. Big up Vida!!!
This is the best interview I have watched on FIVE. Vidic was being modest with the VVD comparison because he knows there is no way in hell a defender who runs away from attackers is better than him
Really impressed with how intelligent Vida is. Can really see why he was our caption and so successful.
Pure Action man…His tackles, goals and celebrations gave me goosebumps….pure adrenaline. United, When you knew our team were in safe hands.
My favourite Vidic memory is when he sent Kyle Walker to the moon. Thank you Nemanja - you're a United legend.
if VAR existed back then, it would have killed that memory to a bad one 😂
Or just imagine if it was casemiro doing that tackle itself. RED CARD.
best podcast i have watched in a very long time if not the best and I'm a spurs fan
I love this guy, honest in his game honest in his opinions, it's easy to see why he was Captain!
