      One of the best midfielders to ever play for the club. I put him as third greatest of all time for United midfielders, behind Keane and Scholsey. I would say Duncan Edwards, but the guy never got a career or life to live, and was tragically taken too young, so I can’t really definitively say he’s in that list

    • @celeschan90
      @celeschan90 Год назад +128

      No I think they agree that Messi worked hard for it. Its just that Ronaldo went overboard with how hard he worked.
      If Messi hadnt worked hard, he wouldn't have been on top for 15+ years, and ended up kinda like Ronaldinho.

      I think you understating how hard ronaldo worked, sporting they use to see him in the gym at 3 in the morning as an under 15. It's not that messi didn't do what was necessary, but the abstinence from distractions from CR7 whether it be diet lifestyle etc was just ridiculous compared to any sportsman

    • @k.m9900
      @k.m9900 Год назад +20

      It's because Messi's talent was godlike, so Ronaldo had to overwork just to get there (cr7 was not as talented as other goat level players).
      . Eg. You have to get to Mike Tyson's level.
      . You are talented but not anywhere near Tyson.
      . So you have put in waaay more work than him to get there.

    The working hard thing argument for Messi and Ronaldo is the biggest bs. You don’t achieve everything Messi achieved in football without working hard everyday. Just cause someone doesn’t post workout videos and being at the gym 24/7 and receive validation from the public doesn’t mean they’re sitting at home or sleeping.

    So Leo won 42 trophies, 77 individual awards, and registered 799 goals and 352 assists with minimal work ethic?
    I wonder what he could’ve done if he worked hard…

      I think you missed the point he was trying to make there, professionals all have to work hard to maintain high performance levels but he suggested Ronaldo went above and beyond.

      @@charlesnwevo2706 yeah, but who's to say Messi didn't as well? The narrative seems to be that Ronaldo works the hardest, while Messi is the most talented (and doesn't work as hard as Ronaldo). Unless you've played with both, how can you say who works harder?

      Don't misunderstand, Messi also worked the hardest he could , but he couldn't push himself to the level that Christiano is working.

    I will always have that question in my head, what if Ozil didn’t get transferred to Arsenal and stayed at Real, i guess he would have been considered on par with Modric, but going to Arsenal just changed him as a player.

    It's interesting they are saying Iniesta, since I've always seen Xavi as a Spanish Paul Scholes: just effortlessly controlling the game. I think Iniesta needed a Xavi alongside him, but Xavi works in every team, regardless. He was pure class, just a metronome, keeping the team ticking all the time. Always available, always pin-point accuracy, never needing more than 2 touches. Sat-nav on all the time. Xavi for me.

      @merengue7139 Год назад +3

      Iniesta is rare breed man, just the way he moves and touches the ball is elite, a lot of former teammates like David Silva and Fabregas (who said outside messi lol) called him the best player they played with and his talent was just off the scale

    Hate towards Cristiano Ronaldo will never stop. He is a brand. No matter how much everyone says bad mouth. You'll never see someone like him ever again. He'll still eat you alive. Making madness in saudi league at this age. Still being consistent. I am amazed by how much hate Ronaldo gets. Enjoy Messi and Ronaldo. You'll never see someone like them.
