@Howlinwalter81 Beckham underperformed for a lot of his career compared to what he showed in the late 90s and early 00s. Calling him underrated almost turns him into an overrated player. He had a rather limited skillset and an "average" playing style which is the reason some people underrate him rather than his celebrity in my view. I have watched Beckham and read about him. Great player but he surely flattered to deceive for a large portion of his career. At his best he was better than what he was given credit for but most of the time it did not come together for him. Thomas Muller is a better player than Beckham but his style is fairly similar and many people find it hard to assess him for the same reasons. They both are "average".
Ambassador of UNICEF and also gets paid by the government a mere 227 million dollR deal to conceal the death of 6500 migrant workers in Qatar since the World Cup awarded. What a pony.
Watching beckham on here makes you remember how down to earth and genuine guy he is. All the fame and money clearly hasn’t changed the man. And that is the biggest compliment I can give him. Top guy
Becks was a class player, one of the best ball strikers and crossers/passers of a ball... He seems a great guy as well if he likes you, he's totally open with Gnev, it's great!!👏🏻👌🏻
Beckham, grew up watching him, hardly ever had a bad game, very consistent, his work rate is underrated, his deliveries were nothing like we've ever seen before, when it comes to deliveries into the box, TAA is almost as good as Beckham. His passing ability is often overlooked, he was a fantastic footballer, probably the most underrated player ever.
There is this perfect balance of teasing and respect coming from Gary which shows how much he loves Becks. A jealous ‘friend’ would tease harder and an unequal friend would praise more. He does neither, he’s a real one.
Wow this was absolutely brilliant. I could have watched it for a whole hour. Beckham seems so relaxed here and likable, full of charisma and just happy. It's great to see.
It’s easy to forget, because of all his non-footballing interests 1. Just how outrageously good a player Becks was, for both club and country. 2. Just how much of an absolute boy he his, after all this wealth and fame, he’s still that grounded lad from East London. Top work again Overlap, buzzing for the full vid! 👏👏
Yep people nowadays will think he’s just an average player and known for the superstar status when reality in his prime he was one of the best in the world
He wasn't outrageously good. After all the wealth, fame, houses and attention he's sought, he's still grounded? Add to that the £150 million deal to be the world cup ambassador in oppressive dictatorship Qatar. And why does he keep walking backwards whenever the camera man stops moving?
@@christopherlawledge9093 You’re definitely under 20 years old 😂😂😂 clueless comment. Gary Neville never got the credit he deserved as a player was never sure why. I reckon after these interviews and his punditry many people have changed there minds. Another top interview you can tell these lads had some amazing times as players and still do today. Beckham well you only realise how good these players were when they retired. Great interview so honest and relaxed......
Hard to imagine a modern player with the star power and influence of Becks staying as grounded and humble as he has. Miss the days when United had men of such character on the pitch. Fergie's fledgings really were a special bunch.
You have to say this: interviews by funny ex-players with ex-players they get on with are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than any of the other interviews with ex-players. Gary Neville asks loads of dumb funny questions and slips in some telling ones as well. Fantastic show and a brilliant way to really get to know the people he interviews. Love it.
I love it how nevell laughs about beckham saying the best player he’s ever played with and he says ‘apart from you zidane’ yet that partnership down the right was unbelievable, probably the best partnership in uniteds history IMO
…and he’s been unfairly attacked because of it. Really, they should put him in there with Keane and Neville doing punditry on Sky. I’d say he’d jump at the chance to be reunited with his former teammates, bring him closer to the game again. He has a lot of interesting things to say, he just hasn’t been given the right platform.

Beckham's 'breakthrough' goal from the halfway line was great. But for my money, considering the circumstances, the last-minute free kick against Greece was his greatest.
The pressure, what was on the line and also difficulty of free kick. Entire country was on his shoulders and he delievered.
Fell in love with United because of him. Definitely my all time favorite player!!
Time does fly by.. my god i remember david beckham being one of the first foreign superstars i ever knew by name. He made me fall in love with Man Utd and later Real Madrid. What a player he was. I miss playing CM and the early FM's and buying Beckam was only possible when he was almost retiring because i usualy played with portuguese teams.
What a great episode. Two mates just having a giggle.
David Beckham what a player he was. quite underrated because of the celebrity status
Ambassador of UNICEF and also gets paid by the government a mere 227 million dollR deal to conceal the death of 6500 migrant workers in Qatar since the World Cup awarded. What a pony.
@Howlinwalter81 Do they? He was bought by freaking AC Milan and Real Madrid…
Takes me back to my childhood years looking at my screen and seeing Neville and Beckham on the "overlap"
I love how aware Becks is of his roots and always backtracks from his high-life ways every time he thinks of one of the boys.
Never seen Beckham so relaxed. Good on him. Great content as always 👏 👌
Ambassador of UNICEF and also gets paid by the government a mere 227 million dollR deal to conceal the death of 6500 migrant workers in Qatar since the World Cup awarded. What a pony.
Becks is the best man.. from my area.. played for the team I support.. played the same position.. he was everything as a kid
Beckham in this day and age would be the best deep lying playmaker around! What a video, the overlap is quickly becoming my favourite channel.
Such a class act, never forgot his roots. And a die hard red forever. Will always love becks
Watching beckham on here makes you remember how down to earth and genuine guy he is. All the fame and money clearly hasn’t changed the man. And that is the biggest compliment I can give him. Top guy
Ha ha ha
Beckham is actually hilarious 😂😂 what a legend 🐐!
Hes not thought is he ?
The epitome of a superstar and legendary footballer
@hfc nice haha
They have been close mates since their younger days at Utd ... So comfortable with each other
Great interview, loved this video. Becks is such a chilled and humble guy. To think he’s held in high regard by superstars like R9 and Roberto Carlos.
I remember that Zidane said that Beckham is a guy whose character is still the same even if he is a janitor and has no money. So humble.
Gary neville was under rated too, he was nearly a European champion in 1996. He's one of the best full backs of all time.
I knew we’d get Beckham when Gary started this. Brilliant.
I’ve never seen becks so relaxed in a interview ever just proves how strong is relationship with Gary is
There is this perfect balance of teasing and respect coming from Gary which shows how much he loves Becks.
I just love this guy!!! Finally the long awaited interview!
It’s easy to forget, because of all his non-footballing interests
1. Just how outrageously good a player Becks was, for both club and country.
2. Just how much of an absolute boy he his, after all this wealth and fame, he’s still that grounded lad from East London.
Top work again Overlap, buzzing for the full vid! 👏👏
Yep people nowadays will think he’s just an average player and known for the superstar status when reality in his prime he was one of the best in the world
Just a grounded lad from East London forcing fully booked restaurants to let his mates have a table 😂
He wasn't outrageously good. After all the wealth, fame, houses and attention he's sought, he's still grounded? Add to that the £150 million deal to be the world cup ambassador in oppressive dictatorship Qatar. And why does he keep walking backwards whenever the camera man stops moving?
@@TheToohey10 He was never one of the best in the world. Behave.
@@CJ0101 literally came 2nd in the ballon d’or voting in 99
He is just a perfect legend. Charming in every aspect
The best interviewer has to be Gary!👏
He is an amazing human being!❤️
I am pretty sure people feel comfortable when they are talking with him😊
How can you not love David Beckham, what a legend!!! 😎
Average prem player
@@christopherlawledge9093 You’re definitely under 20 years old 😂😂😂 clueless comment. Listen to Christopher Lawledge the mummy’s boy or Zidane, Roy Keane, Carlos, R9, and many more greats that say Beckham was an amazing talent who could play in any team in the world at that time. Just because he didn’t do unnecessary step overs or have great speed doesn’t make him average you twonk
@@christopherlawledge9093 he's so average he won the treble
never speaks up about the wrong doing incase his sponsors or chances of being knighted are at risk…. his now taking saudi money but will pretend his the good guy!!

Guests have been incredible! Keep them coming!
I love some subtle sports washing. Thanks for this.
Lol so cynical
Gary Neville never got the credit he deserved as a player was never sure why. I reckon after these interviews and his punditry many people have changed there minds. Another top interview you can tell these lads had some amazing times as players and still do today. Beckham well you only realise how good these players were when they retired. Great interview so honest and relaxed......
If I could give this 10 likes I would! The comfort levels between Gary and David are so high and it's so good to see David so relaxed and unguarded.
Ah the memories when I see these guys together ♥ what an amazing time it was to be a United fan 🔴⚪⚫
Now you have to watch Liverpool and City dominate
@@jesusisalex depressing times for us lol
@mijuo roui definitely the good ol' days!
a Stone Roses fan... the sign of a quality man.
Hard to imagine a modern player with the star power and influence of Becks staying as grounded and humble as he has. Miss the days when United had men of such character on the pitch. Fergie's fledgings really were a special bunch.
Messi is the most down to earth guy to be fair
Zidane had everything and was a pleasure to watch, he just oozed class 👌🏻
Nice to see DBeck relaxed we need to see more of him back in the UK and in relaxed settings. He’s become a bit of a PR machine last few years.
Without the pr,they tried to murder him..so dont blame people for protecting themselves
This is gonna be the best Beckham interview since the Ali G one in the early 00’s 😂
"I know it was so wrong but why'd you wear it"
Haha classic!
Unreal man! Always my hero as a kid! It's like he's not real the more you look at him, love the dude
Becks waiting in the long, long cue for the Queen’s viewing has endeared him to me as never before. Bless him for his humility and caring. I loved it.
I feel like a lot of Football and Basketball players can relate to the other game. Despite the obvious differences, I felt they were very similar and actually complimented each other if you played both.
Also, mad respect for the Kobe shout. Absolute legend.
Obviously Becks played in LA and Kobe is a Lakers legend. I wonder if they ever met when Becks was on loan at Milan. Kobe was such a huge Milan fan.
@@uncreative5766 I think Kobe would visit the Galaxy training during the off season, I’ve seen plenty of photos of him kicking the ball around. He used to catch a lot of Milan and Barca games as well.
Two legends of english football in one video! Perfect!

The respect and banter between these two is warming aha. Mint content!
Cannot help but like becks , whoever you support - great man, dad and professional
