Mourinho literally won the league, Europa League, and Champions League with Porto Ended the invincible team's dominance in the midst of Ferguson's United and European champions Liverpool. Twice on the spin. He got 95 points, 15 goals conceded, 72 scored, only 1 loss in his FIRST season. The very same ‘invincible’ team was trying to retain their title. He made the 433 more popular in England & both Wenger and Fergie switched from their famous 442’s to a 433 in the following years. Continued to win with Inter, won the only treble in the history of Italian football in his second season, on the way he stopped arguably the best team in history in Pep’s Barcelona. Then went to Real Madrid and stopped Barcelona again, which felt like the impossible job, and wonLa Liga with the most goals scored in a season ever. Not mentioning bringing the prestige back in Europe forReal Madrid. They haven't progressed past the R16 in the last several seasons before he came. He reached 3consecutive CL Semi Finals and in 11-12 narrowly loston pens when Ronaldo, Kaka, and Ramos missed. It wasn't to be. Laid down the foundations for Madrid's dominance in the following years Returned to Chelsea and won the league, then went to United and finished second, and won 3 trophies with a United backline of Young, Jones, Smalling, Darmian/Valencia. We all know the internal problems he faced and it’s clear to everyone now that he wasn’t backed. Reached a final with Spurs that he didn’t play and at Roma he won a European trophy for the first time since 30 years for the club, and reached another Euro final a year later that he lost on pens when the referee decided Roma wouldn’t win that day. LEGEND of the sport. What a character.

Giving an honest assessment about Ed Woodward, who is obviously was criticized, even by me, is mega as he is telling the truth. Ed Woodward was not a sport director he was a businessman. It‘s great to hear from a coach who was working with Woodward, how it really was. He even remembers the lineup, who won the Europa League, which to compare it to the team from 07/08, it‘s eye opening, how big the difference of quality between the two teams was. Unfortunately he didn‘t get the full support, as in what he wanted and needed to bring united to the TOP again. Talking about chelsea, he tells you similarities from SAF or now Pep Guardiola. This man is a proper gentleman, I couldn't love him more. His career hasn't been the smoothest lately, because he hasn't had the mad rich owners, match-manipulation and doping controversies like another manager, nor a proper support from club structure. He single-handedly bring up names like Lampard, Terry, Drogba from nowhere; and won with that Man Utd squad which he had limited support. But he gains all the respects of fans, because he gave everything for the clubs he was at, although let down by poor management like Man Utd and Roma. Huge respect for JOSE!

Jose is a mix bag of everything you need as a manager. Speaks highly of African Players and boy we love him in the Continent. He's the GOAT in my eyes simple!
Love you Rio and Mourinho are real men you can see that always Rio is real man with his personality says to me he a real man long time ago he’s the same ❤️
He is the man. He'll always be THE MAN. I was so damn sad when he was sacked at United because the way he creates belief and confidence in all his supporters, its just unreal. You just feel like rallying behind him.
Been a Utd fan since 2008 so I’ve rarely seen Utd at their peak, but I’ll always remember Jose for some iconic moments throughout his time at Utd along with the couple trophies …hope he knows us as fans still have love for him 🙏🏽❤️
Rio and Steve actually do cracking interviews. I loved the David Gill ones, too. You have to get Sir Alex or even Woodward would be really controversial😅
You have to take account of the pressure Ten Hag had too. 2 managers sacked in 2 years. He was given a job to win titles which United was not winning even with happy Ronaldo. I think he thought his plan needs to be followed so he forced others to follow him being scared of being sacked too. Sadly Cristiano was still there.
My Dad became a Chelsea fan SOLELY because he said amongst the top teams in England, Mou was THE ONLY coach signing and playing African talent. Wasn't that excited about him being United's Manager (i'm a United fan) but i will ALWAYS respect & love him for that. So many African players have winners medals because of him, RESPECT!!!
Arsene Wenger was the first manager to make the world believe African players can be trusted to win titles and football matches. He was one of the first manager to lay the foundations for the influx of African players to be signed up by EPL managers & the rest followed him. For me Wenger will always be the one who gave these African players the chance to showcase their talent in Europe. A lot of these players Chelsea signed back in the days were cos Roman had the financial muscle to outbid anyone.
There’s something about the way he speaks. A low, gravitational composure backed by mountains of experience. When the special one speaks, we all listen
I really hope he will come back to the PL, he is so missed! He and Klopp are two special managers, i hope he will be back really fast. Legend and the special one.
Because he is always are, confident and calm. Just at how he is when he first interview at chelsea, people said he is arrogant by saying chelsea will be the best but i know he is confident
as a Jose follower, I think this is the most open session of his, about Man U time with him.. So for the Red Devil fans who still dont understand this great man, Rio have this good session for you
Forget the trophies; this is Jose's legacy: 1. When he leaves clubs, players cry (see Drogba, see Materrazzi bawling his eyes out at the San Siro) 2. When he leaves clubs, fans cry (see Roma fans as his car leaves the training ground) 3. His players literally call him 'Daddy' (Essien) 4. Launching the careers of several of his assistants - Brendan Rodgers, Steve Clarke, Aitor Karanka, AVB, Joao Sacramento, etc. 5. He turned pressers into box-office events 6. Won a trophy at every club (Trophy Dodgers FC doesn't count!)
@@santanoschsantosch3016 1 MAJOR trophy in a decade where he spent well over a billion is a bit of a joke now isnt it. No major titles since 2015. He hasnt even qualified for UCL in the last 6 years, despite managing champions league clubs throughout.
I would love this man back at my beloved real Madrid, this man right here set the foundations and the mentality for the team that won 3 champion league in a row, now that those players are gone and a new generation is in we need a coach like him that gives them the mentality to keep being the greatest football team ever. Hala Madrid
In the first part he answered the questions about the clubs owners abit political, but its understandable. Bashing owners when ur still a manager looking for next job not a great idea xD

Watch the interview with Schweinsteiger. You will get a different view. He is not a Gentleman, that's for sure.
@@weizenobstmusli8232 Well ok maybe shouldn't use the word...
“Hasnt had mad rich owners” abramovitch was the first owner to come and spend a shed load of money to progress a team 😂 lampard and terry were established Chelsea players and playing for England. But I do love Jose that first Chelsea side was one of the best English teams of all team
Mourinho is greatly loved in Africa indeed - at one time I think he had 6/7 African players at Chelsea.
one of the greatest managers of the prem
the world*
Back to pl Mou! please we miss you!
Greatest
As a Madrid fan I have never forgotten when we lost 5-0 to Barcelona because after that day u changed how we play and since then in that season and the next one we almost had never lost to them again. Due to the Def& Counter attack which our team was the best at that time. Wish u the best always Jose!!!
P.S> I become ur fan also after that match. ur football philosophy is as strong as a Rhino!
As a Mourinho fan, i always respected Real Madrid, even before he joined them. What a time we had from 2010-2013. memories for a lifetime
Forever will be the special one. I hope he can coach an international team in the future.
I simply love Jose Mourinho, if he ever came back to United I'd be very happy. Great interview!
You can see the sincerity and magic in his face when he talks about the love he has for African footballers. On behalf of all Africans we love you even more Daddy Jose Mourinho. May the grace of God never depart from you. Wishing you all the best in your new chapter.❤❤❤
Ferguson,Carlo,Pep and Mourinho are the mount rushmore of football managers 🔥 They have achieved everything multiple times 🔥 Big personalities for legendary clubs and legendary players.
Busby? Clough?
Cruyff.....not only on the mount Rushmore of managers, but also on the mount Rushmore of players.
Man utd fan also Jurgen klopp
@@KyleLazarus-zi5uxKlopp isn’t one of the greatest at all. World class manager but not one of the best of all time. Wenger had a better career then Klopp
Honesty and trust is all Mourinho needs to give you trophies.
“Of course I believe, nobody did better” 🤣 he’s not wrong man
Maurinho is very intelligent, how he recalls players, events and games with accuracy about teams from long way back like it was yesterday is amazing.
I loved him at United - he made me feel like a winner again
As a Porto fan this man will always be a idol for me, one of the very few guys that i will root against no matter what club or country is managing, an amazing manager and an amazing person, will always hope he succeeds wherever he goes, forever the Special One🐐
I have been hoping for ages he would manage England, honestly he is a great fit, top attitude and him and his whole family love the country
Ahh good old jose, thank you rio for this interview with the “special one”. Truly entertaining, much love❤️🐐
Glad you enjoyed it
I'd have him back tomorrow.
He's still one of the top 5 managers in world football right now.
He's special.
Jose is a mix bag of everything you need as a manager. Speaks highly of African Players and boy we love him in the Continent. He's the GOAT in my eyes simple!
And what's important about african players the best players of all time the best managers the best leagues the best countries are not africans
@@marwanhisham233you must be a child 😂
Mourinho showed the world how valuable african players can be.
Mou. The Special One. All time great
Love you Rio and Mourinho are real men you can see that always Rio is real man with his personality says to me he a real man long time ago he’s the same ❤️
Eto'o in RB is a craazy example of the respect mou commands 🤣😂
I’m from Africa and we do love jose ❤
He is the man. He'll always be THE MAN. I was so damn sad when he was sacked at United because the way he creates belief and confidence in all his supporters, its just unreal. You just feel like rallying behind him.
United fans always loved Jose... I say we run it back one last time
Love Jose... I'd take him back in a heartbeat! Should never have let him go.
Been a Utd fan since 2008 so I’ve rarely seen Utd at their peak, but I’ll always remember Jose for some iconic moments throughout his time at Utd along with the couple trophies …hope he knows us as fans still have love for him 🙏🏽❤️
Manchester United fans and all Africans love Jose Mourinho 👹❤️
Rio and Steve actually do cracking interviews. I loved the David Gill ones, too. You have to get Sir Alex or even Woodward would be really controversial😅
A Happy Ronaldo is all any coach needs
Ten Hag couldn't do this simple thing, he rather went in for his head
You have to take account of the pressure Ten Hag had too. 2 managers sacked in 2 years. He was given a job to win titles which United was not winning even with happy Ronaldo. I think he thought his plan needs to be followed so he forced others to follow him being scared of being sacked too. Sadly Cristiano was still there.
I'll be honest, I used to support Chelsea cuz of all the African players there and i still love Jose for that. HE PUT AFRICA ON THE MAP
Still can't believe he is our coach 🇹🇷
18:29 "but that is the problem that we KNOW" respect♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ from 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 to u Jose Mourinho the 🐐.
David moyes had 5 Africans at Everton.
Love the Rio & Ste Duo, I think the questions are well thought out. Real intelligent conversation, enjoyed every minute 👊🏻
Much appreciated!
There’s something about the way he speaks. A low, gravitational composure backed by mountains of experience. When the special one speaks, we all listen
Jose talking about African players and Africa was soo damn wholesome.
Class to get Jose in lads, what a man
That Essien part😂. Great Interview guys
" When Essien calls me daddy I say Come on Michael ! " 🤣
Thanks for your time in Rome Jose, the fans really loved you and are thankful for the two european finals
I really hope he will come back to the PL, he is so missed! He and Klopp are two special managers, i hope he will be back really fast.
Legend and the special one.
As a Chelsea fan, I love Jose for everything he’s done. I’ve followed him everywhere he’s gone since leaving Chelsea. He’s forever 💙 for me
He seems like the calmest coach ever on a podcast!
Because he is always are, confident and calm. Just at how he is when he first interview at chelsea, people said he is arrogant by saying chelsea will be the best but i know he is confident
The way he is speaking well of african players' respect to him' he is a legend i would love him to go back to chelsea...
What a legend, I am glad I lived to see Mourinho in his prime.
as a Jose follower, I think this is the most open session of his, about Man U time with him.. So for the Red Devil fans who still dont understand this great man, Rio have this good session for you
Loved when Jose threw shade at Man City and there 115 FFP charges 🤣
Everyone with half a brain knows what’s what haha
Forget the trophies; this is Jose's legacy:
1. When he leaves clubs, players cry (see Drogba, see Materrazzi bawling his eyes out at the San Siro)
2. When he leaves clubs, fans cry (see Roma fans as his car leaves the training ground)
3. His players literally call him 'Daddy' (Essien)
4. Launching the careers of several of his assistants - Brendan Rodgers, Steve Clarke, Aitor Karanka, AVB, Joao Sacramento, etc.
5. He turned pressers into box-office events
6. Won a trophy at every club (Trophy Dodgers FC doesn't count!)
Dodgers FC got to final and fire d him
OMG i thought i'd have to wait longer. Thanks guys you rock !
Hope you enjoyed it!
Back to pl Mou! please we miss you!
I would take him back at United in a heartbeat ❤
I like him but let’s not forget the boring defensive football
tonymorph3672- as if things have been better since he left
Same. Bring back Jose
What type of football does United play now? @@tonymorph3672
Absolutely not
Got up at 630am in Australia to watch this, did not disappoint 🎉
im a South African and we love Mourinho (special one1) his funny and also a hard worker
I wish it was only rio conducting the interview
So respectful of other managers and players. What a legend. The best UTD manager since Sir Alex.
Great interview. Seeing Jose in a new light.
Jose Mourinho, the man who stole the show
You’re the special one and you’re dynamo woahohh
Are you ok mate?
Great man, very passionate and honest.
Thank you so much 🙏 we are proud of you guys team 💪 rio
Mourinho has really mellowed down.
His last decade in football has no doubt been a humbling experience.
@@santanoschsantosch3016 1 MAJOR trophy in a decade where he spent well over a billion is a bit of a joke now isnt it. No major titles since 2015. He hasnt even qualified for UCL in the last 6 years, despite managing champions league clubs throughout.

Carragher catching strays I love it ❤😂
Our Mourinho GOAT
I'll forever cherish Jose what he done for Chelsea is historically
I would love this man back at my beloved real Madrid, this man right here set the foundations and the mentality for the team that won 3 champion league in a row, now that those players are gone and a new generation is in we need a coach like him that gives them the mentality to keep being the greatest football team ever. Hala Madrid
Jose will tell you what he thinks. Simple. Easy person to deal with
In the first part he answered the questions about the clubs owners abit political, but its understandable. Bashing owners when ur still a manager looking for next job not a great idea xD
@santanoschsantosch3016 Luis van Gaal would have slated the club on every question
@santanoschsantosch3016 He actively tries to sabotage players to join man Utd
Jose talking about Bellingham gives goosebumps every time I listen to it
GOAT. Great interview guys.
the term goat is so overused that everytime i read it im convinced the one this attribute is adressed to is not the goat. which is true in 99,9999999999% of the cases.
After this interview I fell in love with Jose even more. Great job!
Jose the legend speaks the truth
Mourinho to Bayern just to beat up on Lazio, the last team he coached against with Roma before the sacked
This guy is Genius at football. A football savant . ❤
