I need to use one of these kits to vent out of the bottom of my Samsung DVE45R6100P in order to connect to the vent to outside. I’m reading on the reviews page of Samsung’s website that these CANNOT be used if the dryer is installed on a pedestal. Is that correct? Why would they have an optional port on both sides and the bottom if you cannot use the side vent kit with a pedestal. Can anyone assist me?

It looks like you could have just turned the bracket on the duct piece 180 degrees and screwed it onto the other bracket.
With that black sticky end, do you still need heat tape? The guys who installed my side vent system did not use ANY. It makes me nervous.

You can maneuver the pipes into place through the old and new exit holes without taking the whole thing apart.
