I quit my full time graphic design job in March of 2020 so I could become a stay at home dad (as my son was about to be born) - best decision ever! I freelance (part time) on the side as a vehicle wrap designer. The vehicle wrap business has been good to me, and I am honestly grateful for the journey and the amazing people I met along the way, but it's a lot of work to create one custom vehicle wrap only to be able to sell it to one customer. Thanks so much for this! Question: I've linked my Etsy and made my Printify product, but when I get into Etsy I don't know what to do. Where do I begin in Etsy? So far as I got, it looks like it wants me to fill out a lot of information on each product and upload pictures, but I was thinking all that comes over from Printify.

Update: I was having trouble publishing my product in printify. It wasn’t feeding over to Etsy. I had to disconnect and reconnect my store from printify. After doing this my product publish and then I went to Etsy in my listings. I went to drafts and saw that it worked. All the prices and descriptions I had from printify came right over.
@@keish9939 This was the question that I had as well. So, we can add all of the listing information in Printify (photos, descriptions, etc.) and it transfers to our Etsy store that is connected? I guess I did mine incorrectly. I added all of the information in my Etsy store first. LOL!
When using a credit card, IS it paid back as each customer pays for the order, or is it paid back on a specific date in a lump sum? This could be problematic if you get inundated with orders and it maxes out the card in one day. Would it be better to opt for a daily rather than a monthly statement? How are and how often are net payments for your sold orders determined or made?
No answer? Does anyone know the answer to this?

I just discovered that once an order is made on Etsy you will have to pay in Printify for the production cost wich is almost the cost of the product and after that they will be sending the product to the person. Etsy will be the one paying the profit you made from that order.... They have a premium version ($30 a month) which they say it will lower the production cost. I'm already disappointed cause I though this worked in a diferrent way and is not.

I got my first sale on Etsy very exciting but I didn’t make any profit. This is where I’m confused. When you order on printify they charge you the shipping cost AND the customer? I thought that the customer would pay the shipping cost.
The customer pays whatever you charge them (you set the price). I have several videos where I show how to use a profit calculator to make sure you set your prices correctly.
Same I actually lost a few dollars :(

im confused about the delivery profile set up for etsy via printify
You really are a great teacher and thank you for the video. Do you have one that shows how to actually sync with Etsy? I opened my first store and Printify is showing that they are published, and I can see the products in the Etsy store but when I click on the product it says, "Sorry, this item is unavailable." I've gone through Etsy 3 times making sure I entered everything requested and can't find out why it's not showing the product. Also, the Etsy Shop Manager does not show the Printify products. I can only see those if I go to my profile in Etsy and then select my store. Any insight would be appreciated and thank you again!! 🌻
Thank you! Did you follow the steps in this video to make sure your Etsy shop is connected in your settings? From there once you publish a product from printify to Etsy it should show up not problem. Although sometimes there is about a 5 minute delay from publishing until it shows on Etsy. If you’re still having problems I would reach out to printify chat support.
@@TheAnjiMartin I was able to figure out the issue. The only way to make the store live after adding a product was to try to add another product. Then I was given the option to go live. Yay! Thank you again!! 💘

How do you change your old ESTY name to a new name. The info they gave is not working for me.
"Order View Settings" doesn't show up on my Printify settings page...instead it goes straight to '"Tracking notification settings."

That is correct. 75% is the highest you can do for a sale.

The code don’t work for printify
This is very interesting to me and sounds like the best way for me since new to all of this so my question is before I set up the esty and printify I should already have my products ready to launch or can these be opened while I’m still learning to make my designs be it canva or cricut which I’m still learning also 🙂

Did you have to get a business license to do this. The reason I ask is because I had one for my reselling but closed it a year ago but would love to do this pod model.
Etsy has many sellers who just use their SSN to get started. You can register a business after you start making sales. I started with an LLC and my accountant switched my business to S Corp and I get paid from my business as an employee.

I'm confused about how payment works. So if someone buys something from you on Etsy, you'll first have to pay for the item on Printify? I have limited funds available to me and was looking for a way to make money to try to change my life. I can't afford to have a potential big payment come out of my bank account. Maybe this isn't for me after all.

How you handle a return item? How you process it?
Hi. I have a no return/exchange policy and I stick to that. If someone throws a fit then I will allow them to buy again at my cost and if it goes extreme then I will just refund them. Most people are reasonable and will stick with your policies. The beauty of print on demand is that you don’t have to stock inventory. If you accepts returns then you are now stocking inventory and having to ship.

What is needed legally to start to sell on Etsy? Can you please give us a step by step? Business license, do you do it as a DBA or LLC, etc?
Etsy has a place for your Social Security Number if you don't have a business yet. Many Etsy sellers fall into that category. I personally started with an LLC that I set up myself through Legal Zoom. Then as I started making money, I hired a full time accountant/book keeping team. My accountant switched it to an S Corp. I am not expert in that area so I try to only speak on things that I am well educated on. I always recommend speaking to an accountant in your local area as they will be able to best advise you for your situation. Each state and individual is different.

@@selfhelp4u7172 You'll want to make sure you don't use a business name and sell as yourself. In general, the IRS will be more likely to view you as a business if you are operating with the appearance of a business. It's basically...that plus how much money you make. If you act like a business and make a lot of money without a business license, the IRS will come knocking.

Printify doesn’t require that. Etsy takes care of sales tax for you in most states. I would recommend double checking your state just to be sure.
What exactly do you mean by Etsy stores. A different store for different items?
Yes, you can open more stores for different themes or products. But I recommend focusing on one store for at least a year. Once you have grown one store you can always expand with more.

What if you are asked for an authenticator code?

You can't just link a debit card for payments?
Yes, you can but I wouldn't recommend it for a couple of reasons. 1. You are missing out on extra cash by not using a cash back credit card. 2. You will have to have enough funds in your bank account to cover it. With a credit card you have access to extra funds.

You're welcome! Most print providers will put your company address on it if you choose. Some will put theirs without a choice.

I have found that Sensaria and Jondo are common providers for Canvases on Printify.
I have also looked into Tee Launch, Gelato and Gooten; which also connect to your Etsy shop.
Do you have any opinions on the services I just mentioned?
For checking quality of products, do you recommend that I order testing sample products FIRST from Printify and any other service I use?
Finally, what do you think of Etsy GPT? If you've heard of it, would you consider that a good substitute for the Sale Samurai subscription?

Thank you for this awesome video. On the designs i make can they have my company information on the label or is it just for designs with out all your company information. That’s where I’m confused.
It depends which print provider you use. Most print providers do allow your company information on the label. If you put your company info in your account, they will automatically put it on the label (unless for some reason the company doesn't offer that). Monster Digital does put your company info on the label.

HI! You're welcome! Glad you enoyed the video. Etsy and Printify are seperate platforms but your orders get automatically transferred over to Printify for fulfillment. Etsy charges you fees that can be taken out of your revenue (earnings). Printify charges you the wholesale price for the product being shipped to your customer. You will need a credit card on file in Printify to cover those costs. Etsy will pay you your earnings to your bank and then you will pay off the costs from Printify on your credit card. Then you are left with your profit. I hope that helps!
Anji, thanks for another great video! Can you or someone explain this one: once I make copy of My listings on ETSY (to speed up the process) they do not appear in my Printify. So if I got orders from someone of those copied and modified orders how the ETSY knows what to produce? Even SKU are similar of copied\modified listings on ETSY! Can you explain this process or do some video? Thanks a lot ;)

Hi! I would recommend having a credit card. But you can also use a debit card or even paypal top ups. The customer will pay into your etsy account and there will be a delay for it to arrive to your bank account. You will need to be able to cover the wholesale price of the item in Printify. Once the funds (retail price, profits) are transferred to your bank then you would pay off the credit card and keep the profits. A credit card with points also helps you have more profits.
