What if Thanos showed up in 2012 instead of sending Loki? The Avengers would have to deal with Thanos before they have time to prepare. Fury might have to call in Carol early, Peter Parker would have to grow up in a post-Thanos world, Gamora hasn't betrayed Thanos yet, etc.
I love the Ronin idea, but instead of him just destroying the planet, he actually bets Star lord in the dance off with his sick moves. That would just be hilarious
“What If the Watcher Constantly Interfered?” Love this idea as a backstory episode to the Watcher, and it’s why he made that rule for himself. Could be really fun to see how it went wrong and why he’s so afraid to interfere in every single episode.
Not just interfering.. maybe that Watcher is also an old man pervert lol.. intimately watchng female superheroes... point where all them got fed up and really formed an all female superhero team against the Watcher😂
@@akilamperouge960 Thor served his own purpose in the Watchers plan, each character served a specific purpose and I'm pretty sure the Watcher says it in the episode Something along the lines of "At first I spent a lifetime looking for one hero, blah blah"
Best of all, due to the nature of the What if stories, we can see stories where heroes actually die and have actual stakes, where they can actually lose, those compelling stories that we won’t get from the sanitized and disney-fied MCU
There is really only one "What If...?" that I want to see -- "What if... Zemo died with his family?" Ponder that question. If Zemo had died with his family ("Age of Ultron"), even if the whole Sokovia Accords issue came up, the "Civil War" situation would've been vastly different without Zemo keeping things going to break up the Avengers. The Avengers might survive the whole affair a stronger team, and may even recruit others like Spider-Man and/or Dr. Strange. T'Challa and Killmonger's conflict ("Black Panther") would be quite different since T'Chaka (Wakanda's king) would still be alive. And no doubt "Infinity War" would have a VASTLY different outcome, with the Avengers not being split and a united team.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall. What if the death of Zemo tore the avengers apart? Imagine if there wasn't a "zemo scapegoat", Captain and Ironman went full-comic book in a full blown civil war. Nothing to unite them, no "mr stank" phone at the end, they genuinely could not see eye to eye on what on their personal ideologies to what a hero is meant to be. What if this genuine disunity (not Zemo's scheme), and maybe a hero death, tore the earth's mightiest heroes apart so much they werent able to prep a true response for thanos? Who in the universe would step up in their stead? Adam Warlock? Nova? What if the bombings still happened in protest, what if Black Panther went dark and took revenge, how would Killmonger react? And most of all, if there was a hero death, intentional or accidental, which side would be the one to 'go to far'? Is it iron man going too far to be his suit of armour around the world, or Captain american going too far to preserve liberty?
I'd love to see a What If Mysterio succeeded story, where he wins and becomes an Avenger and has to deal with keeping his secret and fighting whatever threats come. Could have some fun stuff to with having to stage the death of another avenger to keep his secret or his lack of true power leading to the Avengers destruction
I’d like to see a “What if… there was no alien invasion, domestic terrorism or supervillain origin for an entire year?” We’ll just watch the Avengers chill out, do road trips and explore the best restaurants around the country.
I would love to see a chill, slice of life kind of episode. What if they just show a girls day out of Natasha and Carter? Steve Roger wacky adventure of adjusting to life in modern time? What if the Avengers stopped Thanos on time and Tony gets to raise Morgan and what if Scott get to raise his daughter?
I assume that's just everyone's lives inbetween the movies. Like what exactly happens in Tony's life inbetween Iron Man 3 and Age of Ultron? Probably not much. But I love slice of life shows so I would love an episode that has six different mini stories that cover what all of the main 6 Avengers do on their days off. Maybe Sam and Steve go to a classic movie screening night, maybe Clint does on a road trip with his family, stuff like that.
Here’s some ideas: -What if Loki was sent to earth with Thor? Odin finds out that Loki let the frost giants into Thor’s coronation and chooses to banish them both. -What if Isaiah Bradley was never captured? -What if Wanda lived during the Salem Witch trials? (The other Avengers can be puritans or something. I just think putting them in different time periods is cool.) -What if Hela was never banished? -What if Gamora’s home was never destroyed?
Alternate to your first one: What if Loki was sent to earth instead of Thor? So everything Thor was involved in in canon has Loki instead. Either he messes everything up, or he plays it like Thor does, but it's all part of one long con.
The "What If Toomes stole that stuff?" can be pretty easily explained. Peter listens to Toomes warning in the car and stays at the dance with Liz instead of going off to fight him.
i think a more dramatic version of the “what if bucky killed tony stark” could arise by tony’s decision to get in the car and go with his parents to the airport, during which, bucky moves to assassinate not just tony’s parents, but tony as well. Tony never would have grown up and the Stark family name would have been lost to history.
So many potential Justin Hammer failing upwards moments: Creates Ultron but Ultron is easily defeated. Accidentally destroys the Quinn jet in civil war so Cap and Bucky can’t escape the airport. Vulture successfully steals his technology but just falls out of the sky because it malfunctions. Makes a bad infinity gauntlet that just explodes when Thanos tries to use it.
A dark ending to a Hammer failing upwards episode would be that the Hammer Infinity Guantlet intended to bring everyone back fails and destroys Thanos when he tries to use it but that also means half the universe can't come back because it didn't work in the first place.
One I want to see is "What if Natasha Romanoff became the task master?" She's captured fleeing Budapest with Clint Barton, and he's forced to confront her again years later, feeling guilty about leaving her to die.
"What if... Jane Foster was a Frost Giant" - A Jotun woman (Jarnsaxa, Thor's lover in mythology?) falls through one of the pathways by accident and ends up on Midgard. Establishing an identity as Jane Foster, she studies astrophysics and in particular the Einstein-Rosen Bridge in order to return home. Jane and Thor ends up falling in love, then Jane reveals her secret, risking her life against the Destroyer. Which is when Thor realize that Jotun are not all evil monsters like he thought and he becomes worthy.
I can just imagine Jimmy Wu teaching all the sorcerers at Kaemataj card tricks, and all them just going absolutely buck wild for it. Like these guys can bend reality to their will but they’re all just absolutely blown away by his close up manic acts that they make him sorcerer supreme. And eventually he beats Dormamu by tricking him with his magic tricks 😂
This needs to happen, if only for the alternate scene where Jimmy bets universal destruction on a card trick, knowing he can rewind time and we just get repeated versions of "Is this your card?!"
Honestly it’s an even more ridiculous idea than the Party Thor one and that’s why I love the idea! Edit: What if the idea was What If Loki was banished to Earth? Where he falls in love with a boy or girl who loves bike racing so he eventually gets his powers back and cheats to impress him or her
On the "what if Bucky killed Tony", I think it'd be more interesting if it was "what if Tony went with his parents", where Tony goes with his parents on their christmas trip, and gets killed by Bucky then. It then devolves into the Avengers trying to take down a megalomaniacal Obadiah Stane.
But Obadiah Stane only became so dangerous after he obtained the Iron Monger suit which wouldn't be built if Tony died long before the events of the film.
@@jlev1028 Yeah, but this is an Obadiah Stane who is now in control of all of Stark Industries. That's more dangerous than him with the Iron Monger suit.
@@Finamajig maybe there, Anton Vanko steps up and takes Howard's place on SHIELD and becoming a partner with Obadiah, then you could delve into the creation of Crymson Dynamo and Iván going through a similar arc as Tony, but him being more emotional could bring different situations into a possible Avengers/Thunderbolts team, with "villains" like Whiplash and Abomination being directed by Ross instead of Fury
Ooh how about "What if Ultron worked as intended?" Basically if Jarvis successfully rebooted him when he started malfunctioning and Ultron stopped bugging out. He would become the main hero of that world and the Avengers would all be able to retire.
I really want there to be a “WHAT IF Daredevil”, and it was just Daredevil dealing with larger MCU events alongside the Avengers and such after the events of season 3, and they could use it to introduce him in the MCU.
Obviously people are speculating that Matt is a mystery arm in the Spiderman trailer, but I think they have an Echo series which would be ideal to bring back his character - I think Daredevil has fought with her in the comics.
I really want a “what if Mysterio was telling the truth” so you have a genuine inter-dimensional hero going to fight big elemental monsters with Spiderman
I want to see an adaptation of “What If Aunt May Became The Herald of Galactus” so badly. Granted it won’t be possible until the FF are introduced into the MCU. And the premise of her becoming Golden Oldie would work better with a Rosemary Harris (or even Sally Field) version of May as opposed to Marissa Tomei but it would still be awesome.
They absolutely NEED to do "What if Quicksilver survived the Age of Ultron?" The only real reason they killed him was because they didn't have the rights to the X-Men characters at the time, but now they do, so there's no reason NOT to bring him back in some capacity.
I see your "What if Wanda was into Westerns" and raise you one "What if Wanda was into Anime". Imagine how great it would be, you could even ditch the original animated style of the show and use other studios to do the hex parts.
@@himum3429 Wanda will initiate the coming of mutants to the MCU, the Phoenix Saga is one of Marvel’s biggest stories, they wouldn’t pass it off and will have learned from Fox’ missteps. I expect them to build up to it instead of cram it all into one two hour movie
@@HaleysTusk I agree but they are very clearly stealing from it and giving certain story beats to Wanda. They've always had similar characteristics in the comics both of them being mutants who are OP and occasionally unstable. Granted Wanda is often a tad crazier. But nevertheless I hope they manage to do the phoenix saga well this time.
@@himum3429 I disagree other than the over arching theme of an uber powered mutant losing control. The Phoenix saga involved a galactic creature, Warring space powers, sacrifice and mental manipulation/torture. It was much more complex. If you want a closer and abbreviated approximation to an attempt at copying the Phoenix saga, The Umbrella Academy's story w/ Vanya was basically a retelling, especially w/ her father figure trying to suppress her powers to protect her and the universe only for it to go terribly wrong.
I remember in the early stages of writing infinity war, Sam was gonna go to space with Tony instead of Peter. I think that'd be a cool What if to explore. I remember also reading that in the even earlier stages of writing infinity war the soul stone was gonna be Steve. Like, Steve was the stone itself. That'd be another cool one to explore.
I remember in one of Overly Sarcastic Productions videos (cant recall which one), Red discussed the idea of Pietro surviving Avengers 2, and she brought up a lot of interesting points like what if he also survived the snap, and remained active with his speed as a peacekeeper, like what Captain Marvel does but just for earth. Then when Endgame happens, low and behold, there's now a 5 year gap between two twins, and it could shake up their relationship
The "Mysterio Joins the Avengers" story should revolve around how he is able to turn the public against each Hero who finds him out. Eventually, Hydra takes advantage of the situation and slowly replaces the team with their own line-up, which includes Beck, who ends up getting what he wanted as he is forced to live the rest of his days acting as the "new Iron Man" in the Hydravengers' increasingly dangerous missions.
Some ideas I had: (had these ideas for weeks and haven’t watched the video yet sorry if he says any of them in this 50) *What if… Odin died in 2012?* *What if… Red Skull successfully wielded the Space Stone?* *What if… Rhodey died in Civil War?* *What if… Ebony Maw was the Sorcerer Supreme?* *What if… Odin and Hela collected the infinity stones?* *What if… Tony never recruited Peter?*
What bothers me is why the watcher chose thor instead of ODIN as a guardian of the universe. He wouldve gave Ultron a hard time in combat. what if odin was chosen instead of thor to battle ultron??
@@akilamperouge960 Watcher wanted Party Thor because of his ability to attract unwanted attention. He could’ve gotten Captain Marvel or someone stronger from that universe but he gathered these specific group of people for an outcome he wanted. It’s not that deep.
@@akilamperouge960 Probably the same reason he chose Captain Carter (a human with above average strength and a shield) and Star Lord T'Challa (a normal human with guns and jet boots) to fight a robot wielding the power of the multiverse that was able to defeat The Watcher in combat. He didn't need to pick the strongest characters out of each universe, else he would have just slapped an army of Captain Marvels with Infinity Gauntlets and let them handle it.

Luis as Ant Man when Hank: "Your not Scott. Where is Scott?" Luis:" You see that is complicated." Then most of the rest of the episode is Luis' storytelling accept of the end.
@@Retro_Red I know I'm a year late, but this would be the perfect setup for a shaggy dog story. The entire episode is Luis telling Hank his exaggerated and distracted version of the events, then the last few minutes are him finishing, Hank telling him that's great but he still wants Scott, then the implication that the rest of the events are basically about to unfold as they did in the normal timeline.
That's one of my biggest issues with the show, the fact that it all connects. I wish it was purely anthological because they can go wilder, these current episodes feel stifled (except Vision-Ultron.)
I can see it becoming actually anthological, but they are most definitely not changing animation styles (maybe rarely, but not to the extent of something like SW Visions or the Animatrix)
I think the last 2 or 3 part episodes of What If Season 2 should be "What if... Loki and Sylvie Took Kang's Deal?" I mean, most of that whole episode is a single monologue setting up the 2 options of killing him, or become the new TVA leader. And the hook is the meta-question of how that episode/reality itself is even possible, since Sylvie killing Kang is what created the multiverse in the first place. They're successfully keeping the timeline/universe closed, but yet there's still somebody watching them from another universe that can't exist? The philosophical implications are bursting at the seams.
Considering how Kang's castle is outside of time and there's a ton of pruning happening, it wouldn't surprise me if other Lokis/Slyvies got to Kang before the ones we see in the show but always took the deal.
Of these pitches, my favorites are The Watcher constantly interfering and Wenwu invading Wakanda. The former would be hilarious, while the latter would just be awesome to watch and would make complete sense.
Haven't seen the whole video yet but one of my most favorite "What ifs?" is "What if Iron Man killed the Winter Soldier at the end of Civil War?". The ramifications for that would be insane, and I would love to see the writers take a stab at that one.
I have a couple of ideas: What if Christine Palmer went to Kamar Taj to help Stephen instead? What if Crocodile Loki? What if Ego stayed on Earth to raise Peter? What if Howard the Duck befriended Groot instead of Rocket? What if Heimdall was worthy of Mjollnir and Thor not?
Love a lot of these, especially the Avenger Mysterio and Thor Kills Thanos ideas. One I've had for a bit, now that we may have the X-Men coming: What If... the X-Men Fought In The Battle of New York? The Avengers get taken out by Loki before the portal is ever opened, and the world gets introduced to Mutants through the battle of New York. The damage to the city is blamed on them, and that leads to Bolivar Trask becoming the next Tony Stark and securing government contracts that would have gone to Stark Industries. Sentinels roam the world instead of the Iron Legion, and Trask and another scientist (Hank Pym?) wind up creating Ultron, who takes over the Sentinels and also decides that Mutants are destined to rule the world and that all humans without the X-Gene must die.
Change to Number 30. Wanda watches spy thrillers, you could then get British actor Paul Bettany playing a Bond type and Elizabeth Olsen as a Bond girl. She's constructed many of the avengers similarly to Vision in Wandavision, so all the gadgets are made by Tony as the stand-in for Q. Black Widow and Hawkeye as the recognizable henchman are constructed due to all of the stories they told her about their missions during her time at the compound, etc.
Personally, a what if scenario that I really want to see is What if the snap victims were reversed? In that, what if the 50% who were killed in infinity war survived while the survivors in the main universe were the ones who died?
I'm really digging the Wild West hex Avengers. It could be a Western themed cross between that episode of JLU where the psychic kid revives the dead golden age superheroes (and the day is always saved) and Once Upon a Time. Steve Rogers would be the sheriff revived after being frozen in ice during the Revolutionary War, Tony Stark could be a blacksmith and inventor who puts high tech equipment on his horse Jarvis, and Bruce Banner is literally Dr Jekyll.
This is definitely me not letting the dream die, but "what if Wanda grew up with Capcom games / Street Fighter". If we can't get a new MvC game, I'd love an episode based on it
I feel like there was a lot of GotG-themed possibilities that were missed. Clearly we will be getting something involving Stark joining the Guardians, but what about “What it Carol joined the Guardians of the Galaxy” or “What if the Avengers went to space”?
I think the problem with those is they'll likely happen at some point in the mainline mcu and the point of what if is to show stuff we'd never see in the movies in a million years.
Imagine if they did an Eternals What If episode. "What If Ikaris actually became the leader of the Avengers?" "What If The Watcher spoke to Arishem?" "What If Sprite met Loki?"
I'd really like to see "What if Nebula was Thanos's favorite adopted child?" (with her joining the Guardians instead of Gamora) or maybe a reverse of the dynamic in the movies, with Korath and Nebula as Guardians fighting their loyal-to-Thanos sister Gamora.
on rewatch just had an idea based on your malekith wins pitch: what if malekith did use the aether to "cover the realms in darkness." the pov character then shifts to someone like blade dealing with the fact that there is no sunlight, vampires can strike at any point
@@kalexkhan5086 The Boys is more "What if superheroes were corrupt and monopolized", not "What if superheroes went mad with power", but actually yeah either one of those would be cool to see happen to the MCU
For the “What if… the villains fought Thanos” idea I think it could be cool of one of the Iron Man (or any other tech based) villains was able to somehow create a robotic body for Tape-Zola, sort of like what happens in the What If Finale but this time Zola still wants to bring back HYDRA, and is more evil. Maybe it could even be it’s own what if, “What if… Zola got a new body” or something like that
What If... Crossbones released the Biohazard? in Civil War's opening, there's the biohazard scene at the start, and Black Widow catches it at the last second, but what if that got released into the world? Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Captain America, and Black Widow all get killed by the virus, so the Sokovia Accords have very little opposition, so Tony has no reason to recruit Peter (which could lead directly into the "What If... Peter joined Vulture" idea you proposed), there's no reason for Tony to hold back vs Bucky, particularly because Zemo probably reveals it a bit more directly to him, and this would also likely lead to a Tony Stark + Wakanda partnership, so we could get a version of Black Panther where Tony's already partnered with Shuri and Tchala (for a What If... Vision survived Thanos), and developed other tech, but using vibranium
I just really wanna see more What If...? in general. It's such a great idea with enough creativity and it removes any restrictions the main MCU has as they don't have to worry about messing up anything and can use any character they like. Honestly it's just so fun
I'd like to see a What If where the Avengers are together when Thanos attacks. Maybe Steve signed the Accords, maybe the Accords never happened (and Lagos never happened), whatever, the team just doesn't split. One big change is Steve tells Tony about his parents like, back just after CA The Winter Soldier. So Zemo doesn't succeed, Avengers stay together and face Thanos. Another What If could be What If Howard and Maria Stark never died. So Tony's parents are still alive when Afghanistan goes down (and I'm assuming it'd still go down. Tony would probably be CEO by then as Howard and Maria Stark would be quite old). Or another What If for Tony, could be What If Tony got the Super Soldier Serum. Now this might not make any sense, but remember Howard had those vials of prototype serum in his car. Maybe he survives longer and perfects the serum more, and Tony gets into a near fatal accident (maybe in the end fight of Iron Man 1, Tony is much more injured by Obadiah or something) and someone gives Tony that much more completed serum. Would the serum enhance Tony's intelligence, make him even smarter? Another What If, What If JARVIS had survived Vision's creation? Basically, no FRIDAY, JARVIS is still there into Civil War, Infinity War, etc. And finally, one last What If, similar to your "Bucky Kills Tony in Sibera" one, but this times its Steve with the shield. Maybe it goes too deep into Tony's chest or maybe Steve accidently goes for the neck. Either way, Steve kills Tony and the world finds out.
I don’t think Thor would turn dark if Thor went for the head. But I do think he would still feel empty as he saved the universe but there’s not much in the universe left for him. Would be kind of heartwarming if the story ended with the avengers seeing he was hurting and helped him for it.
Here's one: What if Bucky's mask never fell off during Winter Soldier and at the end of the movie either Steve kills/captures him or he escapes and then tries to make contact later on? Both could make really interesting episodes imo.
Then Wenwu wouldn’t have wielded the rings again and restarted the The Ten Rings again, and then Tony wouldn’t be kidnapped by them and would’ve never become Iron Man
i like quite a lot of theses actually, but i feel like some of the would repeat narrative beats. Like the superior iron man one sounds cool, but the surveillance thing is kinda similar to hydras plan in the winter soldier. Still, great vid as always
I still think turning Battlestar into DeathLok would be a genius move to forward John Walker's arc. It's a cool mirror to Cap n Bucky and could be a wedge that breaks him away from the ThunderBolts/Dark avengers at some point. Val would be involved somehow and would be a great addition to the Super Soldier lore.
Here are some What if...? scenarios of mine. -What if Captain America wasn't the one who returned the stones? Or what if Captain America didn't stay in the past with Carter? -What if Killmonger was raised in Wakanda? -What if Wanda never messed with Tony's head in the begginning of Age of Ultron? -What if War Machine died in Civil War? -What if T'Challa saved T'Chaka in Civil War?
For the Pet Avengers one Throg could also recruit Lucky the dog from Hawkeye. You made this video before Hawkeye released but now that it has Lucky would be a cool addition.
I know this is late, but something I think would be really funny for the Loki wins Tour de France pitch, is that captain America wins the race with loki coming in second, but he fails the Post race drug test and Loki wins by default
I had an idea for the "what if jimmy wu went to kamar taj" Jimmy sees scott lang doing the card tricks, asks what he was doing, scott says "i leant magic" and so jimmy wu, determind to do the card trick, travels across the entire planet to learn magic, ending up in kamar taj where he learns magic, only for the episode to end with jimmy returning to ant man and saying "i learnt magic, but i still dont know how to do the card trick, tell me how" and scott says "bro its a card trick, not actual magic" and jimmy does the darth vader "Nooooo" thing as the episode ends.
Personally I’d love to see what if wen wu joined the avengers. This can happen in age of Ultron. Lets say some Ultron bots killed his family. Wen Wu then goes for his revenge on the robots and is noticed by the avengers. Some changes to age of Ultron can be both Hawkeye and quicksilver surviving due to some ten rings shenanigans. Then he finds out it’s Tony’s and Bruce’s fault for Ultron and it turns into a ten rings vs the avengers situation.
2:06 I actually had a similar idea for if I somehow ever got to write for Marvel, where it would play on the political differences between the two, and reconciling the ideas between the old America of the 40's & the current US.
For the 31, Quicksilver lives Hawkeye dies idea, I think what could also make that a fun episode was if during Civil War, Wanda takes one side and Pietro takes the other. It'd definitely be interesting to see them both actually come into conflict and have differing opinions, especially when it comes to world safety
Here are mine: - What if MJ was bitten by the radioactive Spider - What if Thanos snapped himself - what if Bruce Banner could always control Hulk - what if Tony sold Iron Man - what if the Guardians went to Earth - what if it was noir - what if Sam gave up the shield

@@K3end0 More questions to ponder. 👍🙂
@@K3end0 Right so sort Marvel pseudo-Injustice I'd be down for that.
If they did stay together, legends say they would've beaten Thanos. So it would've been cool to see that play out and how it would've worked.
How could he keep his secret for that long?

This is best 😂💯
Gotta have a beach segment like in anime
Tony is dead, so they don't have the guy who creates most of the problema...
You really suggested a "What if WandaVision was set in the Wild West" and *didn't* call the town "Wild Westview"
What If Wanda liked Hallmark movies more than sitcoms in one I just came up with and love!
Or WestworldView? Westview World? Lol
What if Scarlet Witch was a fan of spaghetti Westerns?
So she watches alot of West movies
Here’s some ideas:
-What if Loki was sent to earth with Thor? Odin finds out that Loki let the frost giants into Thor’s coronation and chooses to banish them both.
-What if Isaiah Bradley was never captured?
-What if Wanda lived during the Salem Witch trials? (The other Avengers can be puritans or something. I just think putting them in different time periods is cool.)
-What if Hela was never banished?
-What if Gamora’s home was never destroyed?
What bothers me is why the watcher chose thor instead of ODIN as a guardian of the universe. He wouldve gave Ultron a hard time in combat.
@@akilamperouge960 because Odin wouldn’t of have alerted ultron like Thor because he would have been a whole lot more cautious than party thor
What i want to see is What If Issaiah Bradley actually fought back
I'd love to see that first one and maybe have a Worthy Loki.
Or he just falls off the plane and can’t get back on
@@reeceperry8152 I think the other one is more interesting a concept
Or Liz curved him, so he never went to her house & met Toomes. 😂
i think a more dramatic version of the “what if bucky killed tony stark” could arise by tony’s decision to get in the car and go with his parents to the airport, during which, bucky moves to assassinate not just tony’s parents, but tony as well. Tony never would have grown up and the Stark family name would have been lost to history.
Or Obadiah would have used it for his own ends.....
So many potential Justin Hammer failing upwards moments:
Creates Ultron but Ultron is easily defeated.
Accidentally destroys the Quinn jet in civil war so Cap and Bucky can’t escape the airport.
Vulture successfully steals his technology but just falls out of the sky because it malfunctions.
Makes a bad infinity gauntlet that just explodes when Thanos tries to use it.
He creates time travel and sends The Avengers back to the prehistoric times when he uses it
A dark ending to a Hammer failing upwards episode would be that the Hammer Infinity Guantlet intended to bring everyone back fails and destroys Thanos when he tries to use it but that also means half the universe can't come back because it didn't work in the first place.
I burst out laughing at “Space Jam with magic” and “What if the Warriors Three Did Something.” Loved all these pitches!
One I want to see is "What if Natasha Romanoff became the task master?" She's captured fleeing Budapest with Clint Barton, and he's forced to confront her again years later, feeling guilty about leaving her to die.
We need more hakeye
So I'm in
The producers have said there will be a Black Widow What If so this would be awesome
Would be better if killmonger became taskmaster
I would love an episode like that
That just seems like a more interesting script for Thor rather than a what if
This doesn't seem interesting at all
I can just imagine Jimmy Wu teaching all the sorcerers at Kaemataj card tricks, and all them just going absolutely buck wild for it. Like these guys can bend reality to their will but they’re all just absolutely blown away by his close up manic acts that they make him sorcerer supreme. And eventually he beats Dormamu by tricking him with his magic tricks 😂
if executed properly this could be such a fun episode imagine jimmy getting thanos to stop his genocidal plan by guessing the correct card
All of Jimmy's spells just have a stage magic flair to them, and everyone else just accepts it as part of the bit.
This needs to happen, if only for the alternate scene where Jimmy bets universal destruction on a card trick, knowing he can rewind time and we just get repeated versions of "Is this your card?!"
"He must be pulling power from the dark realm. He put the card in my mouth!"
DORMAMU, what's that behind your ear?
29:23 the loki biking race sounds so awesome. The avengers trying to stop him cheating is just ridiculus
Honestly it’s an even more ridiculous idea than the Party Thor one and that’s why I love the idea!
Edit: What if the idea was What If Loki was banished to Earth? Where he falls in love with a boy or girl who loves bike racing so he eventually gets his powers back and cheats to impress him or her
@@IcyDiamond I really need to see this.
@@purplespectre Thank you
On the "what if Bucky killed Tony", I think it'd be more interesting if it was "what if Tony went with his parents", where Tony goes with his parents on their christmas trip, and gets killed by Bucky then. It then devolves into the Avengers trying to take down a megalomaniacal Obadiah Stane.
But Obadiah Stane only became so dangerous after he obtained the Iron Monger suit which wouldn't be built if Tony died long before the events of the film.
You could have Anton Vanko (I think that’s whiplash’s dad) build an Arc Reactor due to a lack of the Starks.
Was the “Christmas trip” not just the cover that Howard told every one? They were clearly on a mission, there was super soldier serum in the trunk.
Ooh how about "What if Ultron worked as intended?"

I want to see an adaptation of “What If Aunt May Became The Herald of Galactus” so badly. Granted it won’t be possible until the FF are introduced into the MCU. The minute you mentioned the Jimmy Woo one, I was like “Yes”. I also love the 1997 Avengers idea.

What if the Phoenix Saga was done well? Hah!
Lol what do you think they're stealing from to do Wanda arc for the next 10 yrs 😂.
That's not MCU though...
Sam?? That's weird. It mades more sense for Rhodey going with Tony to space and have a fair fight with Star Lord
Some ideas I had: (had these ideas for weeks and haven’t watched the video yet sorry if he says any of them in this 50)

*What if… Red Skull successfully wielded the Space Stone?*
*What if… Rhodey died in Civil War?*
*What if… Ebony Maw was the Sorcerer Supreme?*
*What if… Odin and Hela collected the infinity stones?*
*What if… Tony never recruited Peter?*

It's the same as the pitch to Scott, but he just adds the events of the heist and ends with "And then you started talking to me over the radio. "
@@Retro_Red I know I'm a year late, but this would be the perfect setup for a shaggy dog story. Hopefully S2 is purely anthological and with different animation styles.
You’ve made peace with the fact that it will never be that way, right? Because it will absolutely not go that way
That's one of my biggest issues with the show, the fact that it all connects. I wish it was purely anthological because they can go wilder, these current episodes feel stifled (except Vision-Ultron.)
_Star Wars: Visions_ is a thing
give it thirty more years
I can see it becoming actually anthological, but they are most definitely not changing animation styles (maybe rarely, but not to the extent of something like SW Visions or the Animatrix)
@@andymoore8835 Yeah. It's dumb hope. I'm probably gonna skip S2 altogether.
If Wenwu invades Wakanda, it could be anytime in the last thousand years. See what Wakanda looked like centuries ago.
Why does number 24 just feel a like a big reference to when Don Cheadle was Captain Planet
Haven't seen the whole video yet but one of my most favorite "What ifs?" is "What if Iron Man killed the Winter Soldier at the end of Civil War?". The ramifications for that would be insane, and I would love to see the writers take a stab at that one.
What if...Tony accidentally killed Steve in Siberia.
A West wing style episode with Tony Stark/Steve Rogers as the candidates would be incredible
Yeah. That's actually the best one as it's already set up.
I have a couple of ideas:
What if Christine Palmer went to Kamar Taj to help Stephen instead?
What if Crocodile Loki?
What if Ego stayed on Earth to raise Peter?
What if Howard the Duck befriended Groot instead of Rocket?
What if Heimdall was worthy of Mjollnir and Thor not?
Croc Loki needs to be the villain of the Avengers pets episode.
Easy! I vote for Howard the Duck and Groot!
Hammer failing upward is probably my favorite because the comedy writes itself for an episode.
What if Loki won in Avengers?
I like the idea of Loki getting what he has wanted and seeing how he reacts
Change to Number 30. Wanda watches spy thrillers, you could then get British actor Paul Bettany playing a Bond type and Elizabeth Olsen as a Bond girl.
She's constructed many of the avengers similarly to Vision in Wandavision, so all the gadgets are made by Tony as the stand-in for Q. Black Widow and Hawkeye as the recognizable henchman are constructed due to all of the stories they told her about their missions during her time at the compound, etc.
Personally, a what if scenario that I really want to see is
What if the snap victims were reversed? In that, what if the 50% who were killed in infinity war survived while the survivors in the main universe were the ones who died?
10:00 my dude. It's exactly that
They lose. Strange saw all possibilities and only 1 scenario wins. If the snap victims are reversed, then that one singular scenario can’t come true.
@@nelsonsamuelsanchez he saw 14,000,605 outcomes, not every single one of them since there’s an infinite number of outcomes
If we can't get a new MvC game, I'd love an episode based on it
I WANNA TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE
I feel like there was a lot of GotG-themed possibilities that were missed. Clearly we will be getting something involving Stark joining the Guardians, but what about “What it Carol joined the Guardians of the Galaxy” or “What if the Avengers went to space”?
I think the problem with those is they'll likely happen at some point in the mainline mcu and the point of what if is to show stuff we'd never see in the movies in a million years.
Avengers and Guardians will be pretty cool. That was 50% of my hype for Infinity War and Endgame
Imagine if they did an Eternals What If episode. "What If Ikaris actually became the leader of the Avengers?" "What If The Watcher spoke to Arishem?" "What If Sprite met Loki?"
“What If Pangborn became Sorcerer Supreme” is literally an idea I had!
I’d love to see What If Zemo activated the other Winter Soldiers. I think it would be cool to see the avengers against Hydra’s elite squad

Tony topped Loki in deads in the mcu
That was basically Tony in What If? anyway, he’s just keeping it going
What If... Bucky and Sam were sent by "Fury" to deal with the "Sand Elemental" in Mexico and were assigned to team up with Mysterio?
That actually sounds really cool
i can’t believe how close your were about the avengers being created in 1997. very similar to the young peter quill episode
and also the tour de france with the car racing episode
Especially with the bill foster goliath thing, there was almost nothing related to him showing up, yet he predicted it
51: What if....Hela escaped sooner than expected? Put simply, Hela arrives in Thor 1, and shows the repercussions of her arrival earlier than expected
One of his pitches became reality in what if series instead it set in 1980s of todays what if Avengers episode.
I love that ten rings goes to war with wakanda, it makes sense for him to want to figure how to use that panther realm.
I thought that was going to be the premise of the zombies episode.
I wanna watch that episode. A new marvel zombies inspired by that. With Tony and Vision or Rhodey as protagonist
For the Pet Avengers episode, instead of just a random ant, it should be the giant ant from the end of the first AntMan movie
Here's one: What if Bucky's mask never fell off during Winter Soldier and at the end of the movie either Steve kills/captures him or he escapes and then tries to make contact later on? Both could make really interesting episodes imo.
What if Shang-Chi’s mom had a gun.
What if shang-chi’s dad kept a few armed guards on the payroll to protect his family.
Then Wenwu wouldn’t have wielded the rings again and restarted the The Ten Rings again, and then Tony wouldn’t be kidnapped by them and would’ve never become Iron Man

yeah, similarly mysterio winning and killing avengers would be similar to the episode 3
I'd love to see a ruins episode where everyone just has a bad time
What if the Writers Treated Everyone like Tony Stark?

One of my ideas that I would love to see is "What If... Thanos Wanted the Ten Rings?"
"AVENGERS: The Ten Ring War" Coming to Theaters Ne•v•er! 😂
For the Erskine one, it would be pretty cool if when Nomad fights the super soldier army, Isaiah Bradley helps him
I still think turning Battlestar into DeathLok would be a genius move to forward John Walker's arc. It's a cool mirror to Cap n Bucky and could be a wedge that breaks him away from the ThunderBolts/Dark avengers at some point. Val would be involved somehow and would be a great addition to the Super Soldier lore.
A lot of these are fantastic. You’ve got a great mind, Nando.
"The bike would turn evil and fight everybody" hahaha I chuckled
It'll be kinda cool if season two has darker endings with heroes turning into villans, then they team up to fight the gaurdians of the multiverse
I personally think an episode with more of Hela would be great. "What if Odin banished Thor instead of Hela?"
What if Hela won and fights Thanos
I know this is late, but something I think would be really funny for the Loki wins Tour de France pitch, is that captain America wins the race with loki coming in second, but he fails the Post race drug test and Loki wins by default

would be really cool if we saw some of these in season 2
These were all such compelling premises, and loved the focus on characters who MIGHT not have gotten their due diligence in the MCU!
Here are mine:
- What if MJ was bitten by the radioactive Spider
- What if Thanos snapped himself
- what if Bruce Banner could always control Hulk
- what if Tony sold Iron Man
- what if the Guardians went to Earth
- what if it was noir
- what if Sam gave up the shield
This feels like that star wars philibuster in parks and rec
Luis becoming Ant-Man was probably my favorite, but the Justin Hammer one was a close second
can’t believe you forgot that Lockjaw is in the perfect 5-star absolutely memorable inhumans show
That last one is basically the story of Buggy from One Piece.
