Nice looking boots. It's sure unfortunate about the hooks not being flat on the White's boots. I assume you can fix that issue yourself, but with that expensive of boots you shouldn't have to.
@@qltyboots ya you did. I originally ran my C350 Cruisers with them. I later moved to the raw hide. I think it may compliment the darker Domain leather better than the yellow laces.
I would not consider sending them whites back. Be confident. You can flatten the speed hooks. I have whites from 2005 and the look yummy. The scratches are going to happen anyway. That leather will look that good and better in 15 years. I promise.
How does the arch support compare between the two? I have a few pairs of White’s I’ve purchased over the past 10 years and the 55 Last is almost perfect for my foot. Though I have found that the 55 Last from White’s fills my arch better than the 55 Last pair of Nick’s Robert’s that I own for some reason. I have a pair of Whites Cutters that I got in 2020 and use for backpacking. I have an issue with the right boot as there is a knotted thread on the inside of the toe box that gives me a blister if I don’t tape my toe on long hikes. There must be a few stitches that overlap too closely when seeing the toe vamp to the uppers. The other thing I don’t like about my pair of White’s Cutters is that it is closer to a 5” boot than a 6”. Mine are in distressed Roughout leather which is decent. But out of the five pairs of nice boots I own, they aren’t my top choice for comfort.
@@freakyfighter5 yes, I did the paper outlining/measurements when I ordered my first pair of White’s in 2013. I then ordered my Nick’s through an authorized dealer, they measured in person and said they would also recommend a 10D which I think fits well (aside from my personal preference toward the White’s arch).
Hi. Sorry for the late response. I can feel the arch support a lot more on the Cutters than the Wilshire. I think they talked about that in a podcast somewhere, about how whites build their boots compared to Nicks or something like that
I was watching that Keith Johnson video on his brown domaine Wilshires (he calls them “domani brown” lol). They look so good with some wear and wrinkles. How are yours looking?
1:39 from what ive seen its a machine that will take your hand off it you are a newb. And they are working pretty quick. Although im not sure why QC didn't just redo the speed hooks. As you can see there is already wear on the opposite side of the leather where its scratching. Id send them in, or go to a cobbler and have them put new speed hooks in...
I feel the arch support a little more on the Whites, but that could be because of the Frank’s boot have a little bit taller heel. And because of the lace to toe, it hugs around my foot more
honestly every time i see a review of one of these whites boots they come all scratched up. I own a pair of millwoods and they were not scratched at all, but they are a work leather not a fine leather like these. Whites needs to start packaging these better.
Nice boots, so glad you highlighted that stitch misalignment ,definitely a useful tips to know where to look at whenever purchasing a new Boots. 👍👍👍
Great boots both of them
@@qltybootsAbsolutely beautiful
Great looking boots Good job well done💪
Thanks a lot
Helpful video. Thanks!
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching

That’s true
i have run into some quality control issues with franks. their response, it is normal in handmade boots. for the price, i think they could do better.
Franks CS is garbage. A very disorganized bunch.
I love the boots and the videos keep up the good work !!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it
You should swap the flat/cotton laces from your Whites box onto those Franks. My C350’s also came with both leather and flat/cotton.
I have them somewhere, so I did remember correctly

I’m not sending them back, I have used them a lot already. The boots looks really good

Did you go with the same size with your whites and nicks?

Do you happen to have a pair of nicks Robert? Would like to see a comparison
No I haven’t, but I’m considering getting a pair

I haven’t been able to wear them that much yet, but I have seen that video a couple of times, they look great
@@qltyboots hilarious we both rewatch boot videos we’ve already seen before.
@@EDHBlvd lol. All the time, part of my addiction I guess. I’m watching a few Truman videos now, close to order a pair
@@qltyboots How is the “domani brown” leather wearing in? HAHAHA
@@EDHBlvd just worn them two times so far. The mighty domani brown

I probably would have a cobbler fix that for me
Wow that false tongue from franks is really thick.
Yes
Does the Frank's give you more room for your toes than the White's?
I haven’t noticed so much difference, but the arch support on the Whites I can feel a lot more, it’s not as comfortable as my Frank’s.
Do you feel like the Wiltshire is a 55 Last and fits the same as the White’s 55?

@@qltyboots interesting. I’ve never owned a pair of LTT, but I’ve heard they can feel more tight around toe due to extra leather. Thanks for the info.
@@EDHBlvd They do feel great, I like the White’s fit
Is that natural or brown stain edging on the franks?
These are the brown stain

Agree on that, they should do something
How did it take for either of them to come in after an order?
The first pair I did custom I order via Bakers in January and the second franks I ordered Just three weeks ago
Was the sizing the same for both brands?
I’m a 10.5d in both
