dude those boots are freaking gorgeous! I was very tempted to grab them, especially with the discount still going. but I really prefer uplands and since I don't need more brown I sat this one out. Looks like they are going to do a restock so fingers crossed they do an upland build but I doubt it

My recommendation for brass boots is to wear them everyday, all day for a month straight. The heaviness will not go away (if that bothers you) but the stiffness will break in, especially since it’s deer hide

FWIW I just bought a pair of Brass Boots in the black cxl with a wedged sole and I had to go down 1.5 sizes from brannock for a snug fit. I have 8 pairs of GS’s on the Leo last and a pair of these on the Floyd last. I could’ve went with a full size down but I knew it would be too big so I ordered an 8.5D which fit like a glove. One thing I love about GS is their clicking. Out of the 9 pairs I have only one had some weird grain going on but that’s ok because it’s on the shaft of the boots. These are perfect.

I have the same leather on a little different styling. They are from Franks boots. I absolutely love them. BUT the color drastically changed soon after I began wearing them. Did you have the same experience?

When you say skis, do you mean snow shoes? Or maybe cross country skis?

Looks like nice boots for their purpose, and really reasonably priced. Good for you. Are you planning to wear them a few years before having the sole replaced? The English words you were trying to remember for those skis are "cross country skis". I do that here and snow shoe, too. The mountains around me will get 1-3 feet of snow starting tonight thru Wed.

I`ve owned several pairs of these. Generally i would say i like them a lot, but they are a bit dated in design and quite heavy. The material the soles are make from will start to crack when they are 10-12+ years, but brand and model year might have something to say on how long the soles will last. The norwegian "civil defense forces" ordered some with vibram soles and i bought one of those pairs some time ago. I also have a regular pair made in 2016 that I`ll try to use as much as i can before the soles cracks. Norwegian armed forces are in the market for a replacement for this model.
