It would be nice if you could run both center posts together, and quickly unscrew the longer one from the bottom to quickly switch to be able to shoot prone. I need both, and switching back and forth is a pain. Simply sleeve and thread both posts.

You can run both posts together people do it all the time. Your short post comes with an extra stud that post will then thread in where the hang hook is on the longer post. Let me know if that makes sense
