If you make 180 in oklamhoma or Pennsylvania you will be rich. Cost of living is as significant if not more so than the straight base pay. Good video.

I just started my second year of school and plan on living off the same amount I made as an RN when I graduate...if people did that they would have no problem paying their loans off in just a few years or less.

Also, depending on the nurse anesthesia program, they will allow you to transfer over some of your credits/classes for the nurse anesthesia program so your first year will be a lighter load. Hello, I am 43 and currently a certified nursing assistant . I am in the process of applying for an LVN program and would like to ultimately pursue a career as a CRNA. Would you suggest this process at my age? Thank you in advance for your help/advice.
Happy to hear your applying to ABSN. It depends on you. When I went to CRNA Schools, I had student loans. However, some students prepare in advance and save money to limit the amount of student loans.
I am 31 (30 when I started ABSN school) and it is doable and completely worth it. I saved up money for 1.5 years so I would not have to take out any student loans. I was able to save up enough money for the program and living expenses for the 12 month program and 2-3 months post school. It is totally worth it. But I also am a huge budgeter. You have to tell your money what to do instead of wondering where it goes. So go for it!
That’s great to hear, congratulations! I just moved back home so that I can go to school. I’ll do the same after I graduate to save up for grad school 👏🏽! Thanks for the motivation guys!
CRNA school prepared me for real world. My program gave me the knowledge, clinical experience, and confidence to practice as a CRNA. Also, all of the advanced practice nursing programs are transitioning into DNP. Thus, you will obtain more clinical experience to prepare you for anesthesia practice.
I don't know how to be that competitive being that I came from poverty.. I'm in LPN school and it's kicking my butt. Do you find yourself being the only black female CRNA colleague sometimes?!!

I wonder how long does it take to becoming a CRNA after being accepted into the program and if you get paid some stipends or salary during the program?. Another question would be if, there is a maximum age limit to start into the program...?. Please advise
I mean you are right, there are lots of things to consider, but I would say on average if you are capable of passing CRNA school and determined to invest afterwards and either pay off loans quickly or pay the school cost upfront then you would overcome any deficit within 4 or 5 years and then anything after that is ROI for getting that extra degree :)
