Joshua tree is on our bucket list to travel to! Chasing RV Sunshine ☀️ Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Y'all are going to love it! This was our second time here, but coming in the RV is seriously the way to travel to Joshua Tree. Hopefully when y'all come the world will be a little more normal, and if so, you have to do a sound bath out here too. We had the chance to do one the first time we came out in December of 2019 through Airbnb Experiences, and it was AMAZING.
That area may not rain often, but when it rains, IT RAINS! I’ve seen some awesome flash floods in that area!
Erin, with our luck with mother nature, it's a small miracle that wasn't the video we ended up creating instead. 🤣
@@Wanderlocal I was there about 7 years ago with friends, and it started raining, and kept saying, cajoling, then screaming we needed to get to higher ground. I hopped in the car and waited, and when they finally got in, laughing at me, I started driving on the twisty road to higher ground. At each turn there was so much water going downhill, we were going sideways as the current was trying to push us off the road. It was scary, but they were still laughing at me. Afterwards we went back to our campsite and everything was gone. I was the only one who grabbed their pack which had my clothes. We eventually found one tent a mile some odd away. Then came the accusations… why didn’t you tell us? I laugh now but at the time I was… not happy.
@@Erin-Thor What a crazy story!!! Sounds like your friends probably should have listened to you sooner. I'm glad to hear y'all were okay, but that's good to know how fast that can happen. I bet they would be thrilled to have that kind of rain in Joshua Tree today though, They are really struggling with the drought.

Never knew Joshua tree was a place. I only heard of it as the Irish band u2 hade an album called after it. Every day is a school day
You should go! If you like deserts, and in the summertime, heat, it’s heaven! There’s a lot to do and see, and there is an abundance of hiking and camping places. I have some great childhood memories of our families visits there.

@@Wanderlocal never! The only National Park I’ve been was Grand Canyon on November 2013! It was amazing! I was in Vegas and took one day to go to the Grand Canyon! I did a tour where you ride a helicopter, a boat and walk on the glass walkway!!! It was awesome! Loved it and I can’t wait to visit all 62 other national parks!
@@thaisguedes4067 That sounds like a magical day! I (Lauren) went to the Grand Canyon as a kid but haven't been as an adult. We can't wait to go there as well, but definitely in the off-season. 😊

Love your channel - and learning from your adventures! We’re getting our airstream soon and were wondering if you guys can answer how you handle keeping the fridge cool while on the road? Are you trusting residual cooldown or are you running propane? The community seems pretty split on this topic.
thejillianhasspoken, whew. This is a topic that may be more controversial than the tow vehicle. 🤣 We know not everyone would agree, but we do let our fridge run on propane while we travel.

Double “LL” is pronounced as a “Y” in Spanish so Cholla is pronounced “choya”
David, that was my initial thought as well! But, then after googling the pronunciation, it didn't sound Spanish at all. 💁♀️

Hi Bert! This is Daniel. The short answer is 'no'. I actually hated running. Five years ago I was 50 pounds overweight and the furthest I could run was a half a mile. Lots of jiggly parts. One day I decided to change things. I started with a half mile run, then each day added a few more steps until I could run a complete mile. After that, I stepped up to a 5K and the rest is history. Running changed my life for the better. It's been a fun journey! 😃My hope is that I'll encourage someone just like me who hated running to get out there and give it a try. Change - one small step at a time! 💪
