There is Jim, the CBS Jim to the world, but in our small world of Bergen Street he was Uncle Jimmy. The best friend and surrogate grandfather to our kids. We miss him so much. The Donaldsons.

He and Maureen were the best next door neighbors anyone ever had. All of Bergen Street will miss them terribly.

Growing up on Bergen Street and being separated by 5 days, Evan and I were the best of friends and Jim and Maureen were my second parents. I spent almost as much time in their home as my own in my early years, and they, my parents, and the rest of the block added to one of the best childhoods a boy could imagine. They were there for me when my mother passed in 2004, and I was so happy my father kept in touch and saw Jim in recent years, shared memories, and some poetry. Impossible to state what a wonderful man he was. R.I.P.
