- Опубликовано: 13 апр 2024
- At the age of 28, Tyler Henry has become one of the best-known psychics anywhere, with a TV show, a road show and, he says, a 600,000-plus waiting list of people who want him to help them connect with their departed loved ones. Correspondent Tracy Smith sits down with Henry to discuss how he first recognized his ability at the age of 10; why he welcomes skepticism; and how he believes his talent helps people deal with grief.

@@Chromaticgranny. How convenient
Ha' Ha' Ha' 😅😅 So True 👍

His facial expressions and where he is looking with his eyes gives him away. You can't hide that stuff. CBS Sunday Morning, this is not your best work. Most of us can see through this bit.
He's side eyeing 😏
Incredibly disappointing to see Sunday Morning promoting this kind of scam artistry on what’s considered a reputable (albeit light) news program.
The same network reports on the narcissist con man, Trump. Not much difference.
@@rantooliothere's a difference. Trump isn't claiming to be a medium, or a psychic.
@@I_WANT_MY_SLAW What does trump have to do with henry being a scammer pretending to talk to the dead???
@@awright7963 what?
I was going to post something similar but many people have already beat me to it. There are so many better things in the world that CBS Sunday morning could have focused on instead.
wow he knew the name of a celebrity's grandmother, how could he have possibly known that
um, google. duh

Extremely disapponted that a show like yours giving time to a scam artist like Tyler Henry. The man preys on the sorrow of others. Do better.
He's genuine...your wrong
@@pamhartwig7406 not even remotely. hes a scam artist just like every person who claims they can speak with the dead. He cant recreate this in a scientific setting.

Can’t believe Sunday Morning is giving time to this scam artist. For shame
I agree. But this is the world we live in. He's allowed to be a snake oil salesman. It's gross. But tis' life.
Agreed. Absolutely disgusting. Total conman taking advantageous of people hurting. Why not give Trump a platform selling bibles while you’re at it?
I, too, was very surprised to see this episode on the otherwise trusted Sunday Morning. His “psychic tactics” are well known. Research the targeted mark (family names, hobbies, birthdates), and with an audience say something like, “I am picking up the name Mary” (OMG, I know a Mary!). And just look at the phoniness of his face as he lies, his giveaway laugh … Please run an episode featuring those who see through these scams and give you tips for not being grifted.
They ought to air a piece featuring The Amazing Randi, to warn people about falling for this scam.
@@Alan-NoCo The James Randi Foundation should have been a counterpoint piece of the story. A really poor job by this segment team...
@@igorschmidlapp6987 I agree. 👍
@@igorschmidlapp6987 Unfortunately, Tracy Smith loves that sort of mushy, credulous "spiritual" rubbish.
Don’t knock things we can’t explain Tyler says, well here’s my prediction the truth will be shone eventually. We all remember Sylvia Brown…
Don't give them your money.
He always smiles. When he talks to someone. He is also not reading her. If you ever seen any of his show he starts sweating when he is reading someone and it is crazy.
I sweat when I'm vacuuming
wait.. money episode? is that a dig?? ... clever.
Tyler Henry, Proof is in the living
His smile reminds me of Joel Osteen. That ought to be a warning.
1:00 -- "Do you know who Johnny is?" John is the most common men's name in predominantly Christian countries. In non-English speaking countries, the name might be Ian, Ivan, Johannes or Sean. There are also feminine derivatives like Joan and Shawna. And don't forget the family name Johnson. The odds that somebody knows a person with the name John or a variant is better than 50 percent. Also, he specifically called out "Johnny," but settled for John. That's a form of moving the goal posts.
1:43 -- A name that starts with Ma. Again, Mary is the most common name (male or female) in predominantly Christian countries. Mae is a variant of Mary. Also, Mary Margaret and Margaret Mary are the most common first name/middle name combinations in predominantly Christian countries. And other names like Mark, Mario, Marsha and every first and last name that starts with Mac qualify as a hit. The odds that somebody has a relative with one of these names is actually better than two out of three.
Watch that episode of law and order SVU with Martin Short, it explains how people who claim to be psychic work. It's a parlor trick that anyone who has ever worked the carny circuit knows how it works and can be very lucrative. I remember Sylvia Browne who was promoted by people like Montel Williams and Larry King twice told people with missing children that the child was dead only to have the child be found very much alive later. I would say what's the harm except that they are many times taking advantage of people who are in a very vulnerable place. The interviewer could have at least attempted to do a little bit of " journalism " here
Why do you give these tricksters publicity?!?!
oh, its the grief grifter
Saw him last week and he is the real deal. It was kind of scary honestly. He read a woman that had a family member die from dv decades ago and described the crime and name of the killer. My mouth dropped to the floor .
Tyler ❤
Of all the choices to make why choose this segment for the money episode?
Call me a skeptic but his constant smiling after his explanation is a take away from.his believability. Beware of soft shoe shufflers..beware of darkness.
Thank you… his smile annoys me, he seems to do it to get the innocent believer to believe what he’s saying
If this is real- big big IF- isn't it immoral to take money for it?
everyone needs to survive
I am VERY skeptical of these charlatans. My late father and I have a code word that is for the psychic to tell me what that is.
I don't know where the real Tyler Henry is but that dude isn't it. Something with the eyes.
So cool!
Goodness gracious.
Now we know miss Cleo’s birthday and where she is from
It's unfortunate that the Amazing Randi has passed. He would have been ideal to interview Henry and probably uncover any fraud. Randi did this frequently. Henry is on a par with so called faith healers. And they survive because a sucker continues to be born every minute. I think it is beneath the quality and dignity of Sunday Morning to provide any oxygen to people like this. Sunday Morning needs to apologize NEXT WEEK to its viewers for airing this disaster.
I thought of The Amazing Randi when I saw this too.
What a fake. He's using the oldest tricks in the book to get the desperate, grieving people he's talking to to give him all the information he needs to make them think he's communicating with spirits. For example, saying he's getting a name that involves 'Ma' - I bet everybody reading this knows somebody with a name like that, Mary is one of the most common names in the world! And Parons walks right into it and tells the guy exactly what he needs to know. And of course it would have been super easy for Tyler to look up Parsons' information on the web since he's a celebrity.
I would have liked this to be longer. I think he has an amazing gift.
The gift of cold-reading, that is. Makes him a great con artist.
I believe Tyler has this gift.
I’m still sceptical
Oda Mae Brown had similar success contacting Sam Wheat. Good racket, Tyler, keep it up!
Yes!! The exact same scenario, I immediately thought about Oda Mae Brown, the scene where she’s “reading” that lady and starts guessing names “Ana? Consuelo? Lucita? Julieta? Josefina? Linda?” She then settles for the most common of Hispanic female names “Maria?” Then the customer’s so thrilled that she can finally “speak” to her mom. “Si, si, Mama!”
Exceptional entertainer…ya know, a legally compensated con-artist.
Hey CBS I'm Tyler's biggest critic, you obviously didn't look for any criticism otherwise you would have been in contact. Almost like you wanted to do a promo for him, sad that this is a journalist on CBS.
It is any wonder the misery that follows,.. or the joy that eludes them ??? tsk tsk.
I get dream warnings. My nephew. My grandma the morning she passed. Ive warned people how long they have, when asked. But im scared of it
Same. Then I grew old and lost any "sight" completely.
I didn't go looking for it, it came to me when my grandmother died. I told my mother that her Mommy died. Thirty minutes later she got the call.
Didn't Houdini debunk these scam artists years ago?
HE HAS THAT....PHONEY....SMILE...SOMETHING ABOUT HIM I FIND ...UNCOMFORTABLE....JUST MY OPINION...🙃😛
i agree re something feeling off about the smile and facial expressions not feeling 'authentic'. He might of course be faking the whole thing, but another possibility is he might be on the spectrum/neurodivergent and masking
I would love to get a reading in Mandan ND!
Save your money and get a magic eight ball
Oda Mae Brown is that you?
There is so much more to life and what we call death than we know, understand or accept as truth.
This so called Psychic preys on others emotions. Yes there are some individuals that may achieve some kind of peace of mind, but there will be victims of practices of deceit by him or others. As the saying goes, there's a sucker born every moment.
He’s .. exceptional… unique… spot on..

As a grifter!😂
E network of course its legit 😂😂😂😂😂 jeez
I'm skeptical about the ability to communicate with the dearly departed, but I think that anything that gives people hope is okay.
Isn't it wrong to take money from people knowing that you're BS-ing them?
To each their own. Whatever a person believes & makes them comfortable/happy/ content, others who are critical, don't have the same should allow each to their own personal life.
Being scammed of your money and preyed on your grief is of no benefit whatsoever.
Lying to people for money is fraud
❤.
One very happy scammer 😂😂😂
This is tough because either he has some spiritual connection that I will never understand how, or he’s a complete scam. Nothing in the middle
Definitely the latter.
Just by watching I could tell he was using the technique of cold reading. If you don’t know what that is look it up
Not tough at all. He's a fake who's figured out how to bilk people.
"I see dead people..."... I heard that somewhere once... ;-P
It was really disappointing to see you giving airtime to a "psychic". These people are grifters, preying on grieving, vulnerable people. Therapy is a better way to part with your money if you're struggling with grief
Imagine being Tyler's boyfriend and at dinner one night he looks intensely at you and says, "Oh oh.."
Thank you tyler!!! Representation is so important!!! Never thought I’d live to see a gay conman!!! Please collab with JVN!!!!
American media has lost its freakin mind
Just another con for people that are grieving
Bravo Tyler!!👏👏 Well said! I know first hand he is genuine and is mindful on he delivers the message, with empathy and compassion. He is truly gifted beyond measure with his ability. I was blessed to have had a Free private reading giveaway that he gives to people online. Just recently after losing my mom and dad months apart. It gave me strength after his reading to move forward and put a tribute for them. I did not think I had the mental and physical ability to do that at that prior, but after his reading I was inspired to do so, and so glad I did. It is great to see him on CBS Sunday Morning! I am learning to strengthen my own intuitive abilities, in which I am a sensitive empath. I have seen the scammers out there and Tyler is the real deal. He gave me many validations to what I have been feeling and sensing is real, about things no one else would know and things that could not be googled.
Sorry for your loss, but your unwavering support of Tyler only goes to prove what a great scammer he is. Hope you didn't part with too much of your inheritance...
@@kinksfan9781 Interesting he gave me a free private reading in a give away. There is no inheritence of money from mom an dad as they left the world penny less, I am left with the love, the ability to see the signs they bring to me as well as the ability to communicate to them.
@@kinksfan9781 It was a free private reading give away, he gives them away often. Thanks!
@@kinksfan9781 People like Tyler really anger the most because they harm people like claredunn. I have empathy for her, losses are even worse when they cluster. Tyler is a grief vampire. How anyone can sleep at night doing what he does is completely beyond me. Most forms of psychopathy are hard to comprehend for those of us with hearts.
"I knew since I was six years old I wanted to cold read people".
CBS should be ashamed and should know better than to perpetuate this nonsense.
I will always believe what the Bible states that those who have passed are asleep and they will rise when the Lord comes again. It all sounds amazing when you see these shows but honestly I look at it like this, WHY would we want our loved ones to see or know the evil and heartache we face daily here on earth ? I believe there are Angels but not our loved ones communicating with people.
This is another charlatan! You cannot talk to the dead.
Houdini talks to me all the time... ;-P
I can, chris
He is the real deal. A psychic "gift" is to help a person heal after a loved ones has died
He is a scammer who cheats people out of all they have left of dead loved ones: their memories of the departed.
The Bible states clearly not to seek out mediums! Very general, read any horoscope, and they could fit any person, any time. If they are able to communicate, it may be with unholy spirits you DON'T want to be communicating with!
the peace he gives to so many is PRICELESS !
That peace is fake! He’s just telling them what they want to hear. You’ll never hear one of these conmen say “oh, your father was very disappointed at you” or “your grandma hated your grandfather”. What Tyler is doing is a SCAM. He’s profiting from their grief.
Oh, there's a price, alright!
@@007Julie Yeah. How come you never have a psychic say, "Your grandmother told me she still hates you."?
So what does one say about someone who is not famous, doesn't go around reading people but does and can see and audibly hear spirit? Are they fake too? It's against their religion, considered saucery. No, they aren't crazy.
This ghoul is just doing cold reading. (And hot reading at times.)
One of the oldest scams in the book!
❤
Hold on to your money. He is a con man.
How many Pigasus awards does he have?
3 words (As any stage magician knows) FLIMFLAM FRAUD
Skeptics beware, you are not brave enough.
The only ones that can reasonably see the dead are those that have near death experiences. (Yes there are people that study this). In this person it is pure “cold reading”.
Scam
I can’t believe they gave air time to this fraud.
playing "games" with others' consciousness
Unbelievable and good grief ……..reminds me of some religious TV personalities……
Why give air time to this charlatan?
Because he has a show on E!, and E! and CBS are probably owned by the same corporation. So the synergy thing.
