Thanks Allan, that means a lot. We do our best to make these videos about the customer as supposed to us. We are so thrilled to see him have a good time and enjoy this moment and many to come
The Cayman pivots whereas the 911 turns. The feeling at the wheel is quite different. They are both great Porsches. The obvious advantage the Cayman has over the 911 (apart from it being more affordable), is its more compact dimensions, making it even more fun to drive on twisties. I have been lucky enough to experience both. Presently I drive a 992 4GTS. The 911 appeal remains the strongest because it has become THE Porsche for the past 61 years 😎
Thanks you for sharing your perspective, it’s useful to hear your experience with both. How are you finding the 992 4 GTS. We have been wanting a 992 GTS for some while and it’s just a matter of time.
@@InvictusMotors The 992 4GTS is very rewarding car to drive. It does everything with ease and if you put the pedal to the metal it goes like stink. Very useful for overtaking lorries on backroads, for example. And it handles very well too. The speed you can achieve on twisties and open curves is impressive and will get a non-used-to 911 passenger clutching the armrest. In daily situations, I would say the abundance of disposable torque is the most useful feature. Mine has the PDK box. I suspect the manual 7 speed box is more fun and engaging. The driving assist elements are a bit invasive for my liking, but you can deactivate some and I suppose you get used to the others. They don’t actually spoil the driving pleasure, but you do feel that legislations aim at simple minded drivers and the people responsible for the decisions consider you as one ! Most annoying 😅 My main criticism, as a driver, concern the global dimensions of the 992. The car is too big (even if quite manageable). The 997 was the right (maximum) size. And this is precisely the 718 Cayman and Boxster strong point : they are the right size !
Thank you, you will not regret it especially if you have the means to do it. I see from your user ID that you are in Cotswold, some beautiful road there ☺️👍
I agree with you but your last sentence is your rightful opinion, driven both Porsche I think that the Cayman is the better drivers car for those looking for driving purity. IMO the 981 /982 Cayman are the best looking Porsche sports car with the midship engine a well known sports car formula, no unnecessary back seats, or engine hanging in the rear. The 911 is the better car as a flagship marque but the Cayman turned out to be superior when it comes to driving. I always wanted to own a 911 but Cayman ownership is overwhelmingly addictive. The world is flat!
Honestly you hit the nail on the head, the Cayman as a sport car is incredibly capable and an all round fantastic sports car. Although for many the 911 is that more special due to its continuity of the model since 1963. However I fully agree with you on all the points you made
He said he’s an “analyst.” And I believe it…..he puts on the parking brake at stop lights !!? I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up with a Cayman…..I don’t think he has it quite figured out. Actually, if it’s true that people are like their cars, this lad needs a VW Beetle.
John is 62 years old and over the years if we are careful with the money, it’s easily do-able. Circumstances for everyone differs and a bit of luck goes a long way. The parking brake at stop lights made me chuckle, with the electronic handbrake, he definitely has figured that out. He might have already owners a VW Beetle in the past 😉
Haha best comment here so far, I actually feared the same. He is still besotted by a Cayman. I am planning to do another video similar to this in a month time so will find out more 😂
You found the only person in the world that, given the option, would rather have a Cayman than a 911! He has a jewel in his hands and is not realizing it 🤷🏻
@@krishthakar6661 agreed it takes a long time, with a bit of luck anything is possible. We never imagined that one day we will have circa 30 Porsche’s in our stock, consistent hard work and having simple goals to work towards goes a long way
I just love how you engage with your customer as a friend and make the whole video a personal experience.👍👍👍

Good choice John, congratulations 🦘🦘🦘
Thanks Chris ❤️

Lovely car, can’t compare Mini’s and Mazdas to 911’s. You made the best choice, 911 is a stunning looking car that the Cayman will never be IMO. Enjoy

Agreed I don’t think Mini even a JCW or the MX5 come close to a Porsche experience.

Great choice of car, he will love it
Really enjoyed the interaction in this video
Thank you
Sold miata after 2 week ownership? Ouch. Well I’m glad he is happy with his 911
He is over the moon with the 911, still wants a Cayman haha
Buys a 911 - talks more about the Cayman 🤷🏻♂️
At this rate, 2.5 weeks later - he will end up part-exchanging this 911 for a Cayman 🚙
Haha best comment here so far, I actually feared the same. He is still besotted by a Cayman. I am planning to do another video similar to this in a month time so will find out more 😂
Lol!! He did, he almost was saying why am I buying this!
@@davidwills3107 haha I genuinely wondered the same, at some point I had to stop him and say please enjoy this and remember this is more special

what do you do to get that much money
John is an IT Consultant been in the same industry his whole life so earn well 👌
@@InvictusMotors oh.. Cars like that costs a fortune and would take anybody years of salaries combined to buy it even if a person was in IT sector.
