You have so much knowledge its crazy. I love that even though it has a lot of british references, you still get it. would love you to react to the whole album or more dave :)
You have broke this down better and caught more than any other reactor out there, including all the UK ones. I've been coming to your channel for weeks waiting for this to drop. Props to you mate, this was fantastic.
The ‘fuck panic, that’s a heart attack’ is reference to the track ‘Panic Attack’ from his debut EP Six Paths. He starts Panic Attack off the same with ‘I bet them boys think I’m panicking’ but ends the bar with ‘itching to see how I handle it, when these snakes start rattling’. Very similar first verse. If you haven’t, check panic attack out. Heart attack is essentially a sequel.
Panic attack is better imo though it’s nowhere near as impactful, it’s more of a classic cause it’s a 17 year old talking about all the social problems in the hood

In the song Drama he did include the line; "do you believe that i can illustrate what Streatham is, then break the fourth wall and base Lesley on my relatives"

Also he speaks about him „breaking the fourth wall and basing Lesley on my relatives“. I got goosebumps when I read it and realized ‚after listening to both songs for a while
Unreal song, incredible breakdown, such a great vid. Only putting this out there as someone from the UK, the 'I had him running in a lift (Lyft) like he missed a meeting' has yet another level to it. 'Lyft' is a London equivalent of Uber, so he's suggesting that the guy is running away in a cab, in addition to the meanings you caught. Dave's bars just don't miss

You sell yourself short by calling these videos 'reactions'. They are so much more than that. Your knowledge, and the way breakdown each song is fantastic. Especially so when doing it for UK artists too, as most American reaction channels don't really get a lot of the UK specific references, most of the time. You're hands down the best on RUclips in my opinion. You deserve way more subs than you have... Perhaps you should start adding something like 'American Rapper Reacts To UK Rap' and 'Rap Breakdown' to your titles. I think it might help spread your amazing videos to more people.
@@KnoxHill half of the album is incredible, would love to see more reactions! Chip also replied to the song "clash" with his own "clash?" Which is great if you get the time

26:06 That's a bit of a double, M6 is the main motorway which links the Midlands to the Scottish border. But TFL (transport for London) has a train line called the northern line which runs from Morden to Edgeware (essentially from the very south to the very north of London.)
The line when Dave said “She a gold digger I can tell from her aura.” Has a double meaning because of his accent the “aura” sounds like “oro” which means gold in Spanish, which is a play on the whole gold digging thing 🔥. Best reaction I’ve seen of this track bruh! 💯 I suggest you do the entire album it’s probably the best album I’ve heard in forever.

Love watching people react to this song (and his whole album) because it's so special! But you have definitely done the best breakdown of this one. Taking the time to break down all the important lines. A short reaction does not do this song justice and you did it justice. Keep up the work, you're quickly becoming my favourite reactor but you're also clearly a decent person which is most important. Much love Knox ❤️
@@EricTheSwede Not exactly 00:40, it's more like 00:42 actually but that's because it was never intended. He said in a video that it was a pure coincidence. My man starts his song saying "Look at the time it's twenty to one" and he didn't even mean to drop it a twenty to one lol that's mad
Bro, you’re so so good. I’ve been listening to tonnes of UK rap/grime for a few years and this is by far the most detailed and satisfy reaction. Thank you
Thank you so much Knox for reacting to this. First time I heard this, I was gobsmacked and nothing has changed since. Loved the breakdown and how you took the time to appreciate and explain the bars. Didn't even feel like a long video as it went by so fast! Favourite reactor for a reason! Thank you. Please react to more Dave. Would be great if you could do an album review or just We're All Alone and Both Sides of A Smile off the album. Please also react to his older tracks Psycho and My 19th Birthday, two of my all time fave Dave tracks.
Lovely review man, this is my favourite song from dave. Just wanted to let you know that the line ‘Fuck panic that’s a heart attack’ is a reference to his earlier song Panic Attack, which also has a very similar theme and first verse. Also the other reference to Panic Attack is that the beat drops off towards the end of the track because it had a ‘panic attack’, and so the same thing happens here because the beat had a ‘heart attack’. Really sad fact too is that the woman at the end of the song is actually Dave’s own mother, and that actually made me cry.
Bro when I listen to your reactions, I can't believe that I am getting these for free man. Like what?! You're crazy smart bro and definitely a genius. I've been listening to this song for so long and you highlighted some explosive bars that I didn't even notice, but you noticed it in your first try. Officially the best reactor in my opinion and trust me when I say I've know a lot of them. Great work with this one. No I can't help but wonder what else it is I don't know and how your brain computes the art that is music is just truly a joy to watch.
When Dave plays the song out at the end, and just leaves you to sit and think about what you’ve just heard. Just sitting speechless. We reacted in the same way. Dave is an absolutely incredible artist.
I watched this when it came out but rewatching it and man you’re incredible at catching these bars, as someone who is British normally non-British people don’t get much of Dave’s bars but you got EVERY SINGLE bar. 10/10 video
@Knox Hill, I really like your break down of the setting of the scene. This track feels like the equivalent of a Dream Theatre intro setting the scene like a Quinton Tarantino preface to an opening scene of a movie. @Knox Hill, your ability to break down tracks like "1000 steps to make a PB&J sandwich" speaks volumes of how you appreciate what it takes to paint a vivid picture or portray a complete thought in 3-4 minutes. Hats off to you and your pursuit of perfection with your craft. Success is measured at it's most accurate state when you have a high water mark to compare it with; way to set the bar brother! I love your breakdowns and interpretations. Keep doing you and your dreams will fall short of where you land!
Knox literally make me walk to my kitchen, to my room, then back to the table again just because of a bar you explained. Peeps to you. Also I don't know if it's just me but Knox you have quite a few unorthodox facial reactions. Wheter it be the stretch of your jaw, the sublt twitches or the way you move your head at rare moments, I don't know why but I love it man. I just resonate with it and I don't know why.

I’m just putting it out there this is the best reaction to this song that I have watched , hands down , u the man Knox
I love your emotional connection to music! Your Knox Hill Certified!
wow its amazing how u break down uk bars perfectly. not many americans catch all the bars cause they don't understand the uk slang or references thats 🔥🔥🔥🙏
Daily reminder Killah Priest is better than Dave Santan.
Dave - blackbox. It’s needed. It’s where he started
the fact you caught the Blue Story bar is crazy!!!
A clock that comes set at 6:30 that’s the best, hands down 😂😂😂😂
You are doing such an important job breaking these masterpieces down. You focus on artistery, lyricism. So as long as you keep doing what you do, hip hop is not dead. That calms me down 💪
Love watching people react to this song (and his whole album) because it's so special! But you have definitely done the best breakdown of this one. Taking the time to break down all the important lines. A short reaction does not do this song justice and you did it justice. Keep up the work, you're quickly becoming my favourite reactor but you're also clearly a decent person which is most important. Much love Knox ❤️
DAVE.... You need to check out 20 to 1.... and that's not even his best, my man is on another level 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💥
The coolest part is that if you pressed play on the album at midnight when it came out, 20 to 1 started at 00 40, twenty to one :)
@@Riwan227 See that..... 🤯🤯🤯
This is such an incredible reaction and breakdown Knox. Happy new year and holidays to you and your family
I love how Dave can do Psycho, and Heart Attack, but then can turn around and do Clash. Absolute fucking range.
clash sucks
Bro when I listen to your reactions, I can't believe that I am getting these for free man. Like what?! You're crazy smart bro and definitely a genius. I've been listening to this song for so long and you highlighted some explosive bars that I didn't even notice, but you noticed it in your first try. Officially the best reactor in my opinion and trust me when I say I've know a lot of them. Great work with this one. No I can't help but wonder what else it is I don't know and how your brain computes the art that is music is just truly a joy to watch.
Loved your breakdown so much Knox. It is absolutely art. I believe it’s his mum in the outro, I get emotional every time ❤️
When Dave plays the song out at the end, and just leaves you to sit and think about what you’ve just heard. Just sitting speechless. We reacted in the same way.
Dave is an absolutely incredible artist.
AHA AMAZING I would love to hear some of your reactions to his freestyles Specifically - Dave Blackbox. Great breakdown keep it up!
I just discovered this song it’s so powerful
Thank you for finishing it out! You are the first person I have watched that has not cut it short.
This is literally the best reaction and understanding of this song I have seen!!! I really enjoyed every minute of it ☺️
I watched this when it came out but rewatching it and man you’re incredible at catching these bars, as someone who is British normally non-British people don’t get much of Dave’s bars but you got EVERY SINGLE bar. 10/10 video
Daily reminder Killah Priest is better than Dave Santan.
Listen to in the fire from this album for an absolute symphony of uk GOATS
@28:00 - Blu's story is an off-shoot of Top Boy also - definitely worth watching.
Unbelievable music reactor. The best I’ve come across, breaks down everything you possible can and deserves so much more views and subscribers!
You definitely need to check out more songs on this album, it’s the album of the year.
Thank you brother. I really enjoyed this one and am proud of this reaction. I know it won’t do the views of other tracks I could’ve picked to do today but I’m glad I did it 🙌
@@KnoxHill really appreciate it bro
Blown away by that on so many levels
Your knowledge of the UK is amazing never heard anyone else like you for reactions truly amazing. And being a true quality rapper aswell. If you get a chance I would love to see you react to some other UK artists like Akala, Devlin, Wretch32 and Plan B. Also wounding if you were selling your albm on cd I would love to buy it as I don't use any of the streaming service's.
Well done amazing you got so many British references. Your breakdowns are fab
TFL stands for Transport for London … Northern Line is a line of the tube.
I've said this before, please don't take this as cap - you are genuinely the BEST reactor on RUclips my guy! You react better to UK music than UK reactors. Your amazing brother
It’s Dave mum talking at the end. I loved the breakdown!!!! Got a new subscriber
Daily reminder Killah Priest is better than Dave
There’s so many good songs in Dave’s discography for you to do! In the fire, three rivers, my 19th birthday, how I met my ex, Lesley
Omg I’ve waited so long
I've been waiting on this banger 🔥🔥
This is a terrific reaction. From Peckham South East London. This song hits me differently. Respect
I’m from the uk 🇬🇧 and knife crime is rampant , and acid attacks, Dave is one of the most underrated mc’s on the planet, I knew you’d respect the quality knox
Song of the year has made (imo) the reaction video of the year in this review. Great work and true appreciation of the art form
More dave please Knox 💯💯💯
In the fire next please - Dave 🔥🙌🏽loved the breakdown reaction ❤️👏🏽
I think what dave ment by he got soaked but his right hand scuba dived meaning he got shot and hes probably bleeding out and he puts his right on the wound so it scuba dived (covered in blood)
Another great reaction Knox, was here to the very end!! would love to see you react to ‘In the fire’ next from the album great beat and 5 of UK’s top talents all on one track. You won’t be disappointed 🔥
Yeah Dave has a way to really pull you into the song from the moment it starts. This whole album is one hell of a ride
24:49 that can be taken two ways, flora as in plants.
also stork is also a butter
@26:17 - TFL = Transport for London - The name for the London transport system :)
"I use to wonder does God has favorites" super chills everytime I hear that line
I love that you prepared for the video. Fuck pretending it's the first time you've listened, the detailed breakdown is much better and im here for it
Daily reminder Killah Priest is better than Dave
Need a full album reaction !
