Blue story was a UK based film referring to the gang beef in London between peckham and Lewisham / ghetto, the reason why it's called "blue story" is due to the colours that are associated with the ghetto gang which is blue and through out the film we as an audience follow this young innocent boy dragged into gang culture which inevitably ends tragically (as a person from the UK I highly enjoyed and recommend this film as a way to connect to life in rougher London 🇬🇧❤️)
Created by Rapman. Don't know if he has been covered on this channel. If he hasn't, that needs to be done. Like yesterday. Shiro's story and his FITB in particular
In London though, when we say "Violate" it doesn't necessarily mean sexual. It's slang for when someone makes a mockery out of you or robs you in public
From the way I heard it, it made it seem like he meant it sexually violated. The line after sounds like he said he “hates the preacher”, not “hates the feeling”. But I’m not from there and the accent isn’t to clear for me so I’m not 100%

On the flakey dealing bar, he's talking bout selling coke. "Flake" is a strong type on coke you get in UK and Ireland, and a code everyone uses for talking about coke / flake is "paint". Loved this reaction! This is what I want when I watch other people react to music I love. Catching those bars, being blown away, break downs - great job.
Like everyone has said, In the Fire is a must for a trilogy and you get an intro to more from the UK scene including Ghetts who is an absolute beast in the game. Think you’ll find ‘it’s playlist!’
Please dont ever apologize about the length of the video. Its what we come here for!!
You gotta do In The Fire or Both sides of a smile next if you plan on doing more Dave.
You know you're gonna end up doing the whole album? Can't escape it 😂
😂😂😂
Dave into the fire-is the one 🔥
you guys really do have the best reactions. ure the only guys really deserving to do dave reactions
This is probably in the comments somewhere already and you guys might actually know this already, but this song is actually a follow up to a song off his 6 Paths EP called Panic Attack. Just a few references back to that song in here.
“How many of our parents had dreams they abandoned, so they could put food on the table..”💔
Great breakdown. Heard this track bout 1000 times rn and still picked up new bars in this.
This channel is calling out for In the fire from this album
That particular song is made for you. Bet you'll love the sample and the production.
This beat resembles a hearbeat. If you listen closely you hear a heartbeat in the beat. When the beat stops, the heart stops aswell. Crazy!
Daily reminder Kendrick Lamar is better than Dave
@@jacobdykes8827what’s crazy is that you even need to compare the 2 and say that, much respect to Dave
you guys have to check out In The Fire and Both Sides Of A Smile from the album too, two of the best tracks on the tape
Thank you guys !!!! Goosebumps through out and you made the whole song so much more clear. Crazy how your minds work !!!
You missed the Roaming/Call to see em is a play on the Roman (My old Gs roamin') Colosseum (I don't need a colosseum) - The battleground famously in Gladiator... WHAT A FIRE LINE!
I'm probably biased because I'm from the UK but I truly believe Santan Dave is the best lyricist currently active by a looong way. Nobody else can scheme and flow as clean as Dave whilst having IMPACTFUL bars not just a rhyme for the sake of it. Incredible talent, national treasure.
React to In The Fire for sure next, bar heavy banger
Great breakdown! What a fantastic piece of work this track was. Just some other stuff that really grabbed me:
Loved the chemical elements (aurum/boron/fluorine) scheme! I’m sure there’s also an unwritten wordplay on “element” that was intended there, too. And I also think the “saving for a 45” was also a double entendre about records, right?
Dave speaks so honest and clear, its hard not to understand this bredda
Insanely detailed breakdown, best i have seen by far would love it if you checked out into the fire off the album too the beat on that is crazy too and Dave produced it too
Daily reminder Kendrick Lamar is better than Dave
Blue Story is a British Film about London Street Life that was that was banned when it was released at the movies
THANK YOU 🇬🇧 Through the FIRE next is a must 👊🏾👌🏾👍🏾
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS ONE GUYS
The most articulate and most enjoyable reactors to watch, just need more U.K.
Genuinely the best reactors on RUclips. You understand everything, which is especially impressive when u listen to uk rap.
"But his right hand scuba dived", from the way I look at it, it probably means that his right had man dipped from the scene. It might be a long shot but that's what I thought it meant
I'm here for ALLLLL the UK reactions 🤟🏼 keep them up 🙏🏻
Daves pen is up there among the best and he has great delivery.
Yooo love seeing you guys repping UK, keep it up fellas
Yesss I been waiting on this one, you guys reactions are insane, has to be in the fire next??
eternally satisfied that you guys reacted to this.
I'll do the obvious and suggest you listen to "in the fire" from this album as well, as it's my personal favourite on there.
But you also need to check out little simz - introvert. Another long track, but it is truly a masterpiece, you'll love it.
YESS I hope they react to little simz soon
Dave will go down as the GOAT with the ones that know.
I've been waiting for this! IM ALIIVEEE!!
Amazing reaction as always!! Love your content and thorough breakdowns/descriptions
Great reaction!! Please do 'In the Fire' from the album !!! absolute banger, got the whole UK Rap royalty on there 🔥
At last!! Been hoping you'd react to this.
Brilliant breakdown you guys packed in a lot of analysis in 30 minutes.
I was just listening to Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai for the first time in ages, would love to here you do a reaction/review of that.
More Dave please he goes so underappreciated
Good to finally see you guys giving UK rap some respect 😂
Good vid
Best social commentary musician of modern history in my opinion.
Thanks for reacting to more Dave, honestly would've loved for you to listen to a few more of the tracks from his album but still great that you heard heart attack
Great reaction! Can't believe you haven't done:
Dave - Black (live at the brits)
Akala - Fire in the booth Part 4
Akala - Daily Duppy
George the Poet - Accidents
Love your breakdown of the song, and the time you took to react and appreciate the art. You guys should definitely read to Little Simz, she's a phenomenonal British artist, and just release an album 'Sometimes I May Be Introvert' I feel you guys would appreciate the recommendation!!
