The current government seems to be doing everything it can to make life harder for the poorest people, so it's no wonder people turn to crime when they have no other way of getting by.

The cocaine market in London is lucrative because the middle class yuppies glorify it and consume it like water. That creates demand for an unregulated substance that ultimately creates organized crime. The competition is deadly and young kids from poor backgrounds are coddled and manipulated into gangs as a result.
Ultimately, knife crime is a product of that reality.
