Where is Turisas from? I'm loving the face paint, they look like the wild men from the 13th Warrior. This Folk metal is getting so awesome, i'm embracing my heritage and rocking the fuck out.
I love all these bands, Finntroll Eluveitie and Korpiklaanii are for me the best! But I love Alestorm Ensiferum Turisas etc... Finntroll is more brutal and I prefer them! Their last album would deserve to be recognize as one of the greatest metal album ever!
In my opinion Pirate,Celtic,Viking Metal etc.is a name to describe the feel and the texture of the music not a sub-genre itself so basically they are all Folk Metal ;P

I'm sick of "alestorm is pirate metal bla bla" or "finntroll is troll metal" fellas, all that generes is inside a thing we call FOLK METAL, because all that things of pirates and trolls is inside the folklore of the country from this bands are, and the songs you put are great, thanks :)
I think Eluveitie is the best folk band...I've listened to many folk bands but I can't say that any other band has more melodicity in it's music than Eluveitie :).
Turisas is from Finland...one band from the ''amazing''Finland -> awesome band,,have a ''careful'' look at their discography...may you like them...and yes their face paint is about war...''war paint'' as they call...:)
i've never heard of folk metal till now i usually just listen to metal sometimes but i listen to folk and acoustic all the time it'll be cool to mix it up ^^
