Just got my v2. It's my first true Superbike so I might not know the most but wow. It's perfect.
I have to agree. The V2 is an awesome upgrade to the 959 which was already great. The quick up/down shift is butter! 👍
Exhaust sound shortcuts (for quick comparison ;)):
Panigale V2: 2:59, 3:16
Panigale V4: 4:37, 5:41
I wish they used the stock v4 exhaust design on the new v2. It would make it look even cleaner.

Had the chance to also ride both (regular v4 and the v2) and, while the power of the V4 is crazy and amazing, I'd pick the V2 over it. Why?
-You still need to be an amazing rider to max out the potential of the V2
-you'll use more of that power on the street than you ever will the V4
-Even on the track, unless it's got a HUGE front or backstretch, you'll never max the power of the V4
-V2 is cheaper
-Compared to newer models, I think the V2 is better looking (I'm not a fan of the wings)
-Cheaper insurance (though not by much)
-There will always be a faster bike, so buying the V4 for power will leave you disappointed in the next few years when the competition brings a faster machine out
-LIGHTER and more flickable (aka, more fun)
I maxed out a V4R on the street.. all 234 horses. yep!. 😳 Check out the review lol but I admit.. the V2 is all most people need and use. Its still a lot of bike.

Can anyone tell me how much less nimble/flickable the V4 is compared to the V2.
Obviously it's heavier, but I wondered if it's a massive difference, or not really noticeable.
There is no way to quantify it but generally speaking, the less CC's something has, the more flickable it is. (less weight, less mass, force, etc)
That being said.. the S1K is "almost" as flickable as an R6... you want flickable.. If you MUST have a liter bike, then go with an S1K.
If flickability (is that even a word? lol), nimbleness and fun is more important to you, then I would choose an R6 over a V2 any day of the week. With a full exhaust, tune, auto blipper it is more fun and probably just as fast (feeling) as a V2 but V2 will shine in overall top speed but R6 will run circles around it (in the flick department). Good luck on your choice.

Hi petro head, thanks for sharing the video. My previous bike was cbr650, want to change to V2 or V4, a used one cause of the budget.where I am , the V2 is almost the same price as V4, I mainly use for fun riding occasionally commute. What do you suggest? Thank you
Depending on your skill / comfort level the V4 is obviously a better bike if it’s the same price.

I couldn't find dimensions on Ducati website. Just wanted to know how small V2 is, especially width, than V4.

Hydraulic clutch fluid?
@@PetroHead what does it do...does it make clutch release more smooth
Hydraulic clutch levers make using the clutch easier and they are self adjusting. Pulling the clutch lever can be hard but there is no manual adjusting needed with these. Hydraulic clutches usually come with more expensive bikes but you can purchase the kit separately. It’s nice to have but not needed for most people.

The V2 is definitely more beautiful. It’s the best balance between elegance and power. And let’s face it, the wings are ugly. Cool, but ugly.

The V2’s seat height is a bit less than the V4. other than that, the V2 is slimmer in design and weighs less by a little. Small aesthetic details here and there.
V2 is just a glorified to the older bike with the same name

Just close your eyes and listen, the sound they make doesn’t even worth a quarter of what they cost.
