    Note: when I say pull behind your teeth, always pull on the bone. Only on the bone, otherwise you'll cause flaring of the teeth.

    For thumb pulling to be more effective you gotta do fascia massages, when this layer of tissue is rigid it prevents bone movement and causes tension on the face, do miofascial release and pressure based massages to loosen the fascia so the bone moves and grows easier

    • @cyzz_life
      @cyzz_life  2 месяца назад +4

      Would this be those gua-sha exercises? Or do you just use your knuckles and massage around your face? ATM I'm only massaging my masseters, once per night.

    • @mars2kplus
      @mars2kplus 2 месяца назад +8

      @@cyzz_life no, it only should be hand and knuckle based, massage the masseters, temporalis, occipitals, pressure points and stuff, search videos of stretches and do them before every thumb pulling session (or once everyday BEFORE doing thumb pulling) also don’t forget to do suture loosening/expansion

      Yeah this is not talked about as much but is super important if you want expansion. Especially those tight massesters, strongest muscle in the body literally will pull down your zygomatic and mandible down and back if they’re too tight. Most people aren’t in tune with their body and subtle unconcisous stressors of modern living can keep your fascia and facial muscles tight without even knowing

    • @cyzz_life
      @cyzz_life  2 месяца назад +4

      Sure! I assume you know the reasoning for why it works (maxilla forwards and up). So here's how:
      Put one or both thumbs behind your central incisors, thumbs pointing toward the center of the roof of your mouth. Pull as hard as possible on the bone (not the teeth, this causes flaring). Try to tuck your chin as you pull, to add even more force on the palate, making sure the overall force will be "upward and out" relative to upright head posture. Hold for 10-15 sec at first, then increase this time as you progress. Ideally 2x 3 min/day to begin with.

      That's actually a good question. I don't know, I'm sorry. My best guess is that thumb pulling won't work, because we're mainly targeting the maxilla here, and it won't bring that lower jaw forward.

      It will enhance mewing, and if done correctly, should never ruin your facial aesthetics. Obviously, I cannot make guarantees, but if you've heard stories of "mewing ruining someone's life" I'd say it's fairly unlikely that they had correct form or used even pressure on both sides.

    • @cyzz_life

      Changes won't be permanent if you revert back to bad habits. You'r face will return back to its original state. Ideally, you incorporate this into your lifestyle and do it indefinitely.

      @@Chef_cookk Because the bad habits that put your maxilla and palate into this state will return once you stop thumb pulling. If you ditch those bad habits and mew subconsciously, then ther shouldn't be any problems with the narrow palate returning.

      If you do thumb pulling, the chance of a tooth gap is very low, since changes come very gradually (0.1 mm a day max). If this worries you, just remember that you can control when and how long you thumb pull for, so you should never end up with the gap. You have full control

      Muscles always "win" over bone. It's the same reason why mewing works. Bone has plasticity to it (it can be molded with enough time and enough force/pressure). If your masseters (and other fascia) are tight, then those muscles will dictate how the bone grows. Or, how the bone is reformed.
