I wish the Fallout games had a fleshed out crime/prison system like the Elder Scrolls games did, and you could have actually been sent to the NCRCF if it had been retaken by the NCR.
Yeah instead of the entire town including the elderly just shooting you there might be some semblance of town mercenaries. Maybe the town can get better law enforcement if you clear out a police station of bandits or whatever might have taken up there.
But it doesn't work because then the game would be boring as fuck. Imagine a bounty on you if you stole three 10 mm rounds. It would be awful

There’s enough cut content from this game to fill several textbooks. Jesus man, the potential Obsidian had was totally squandered by that development time.
It was squandered by their own will. Sawyer has stated in the past that they were offered more time, but chose to keep it on the set release schedule. Also there are further reports from Chris stating that they did also slack off at the beginning

Yeah, the whole encounter makes no sense, the NCR isn't even purifying the water, they are just piping it to their farms/bases, so there is no reason to sneak into one of their military bases for water rather than drink from the source.
This encounter would make more sense if it happened on the sharecroppers farm, and maybe they were trying to steal food (which seems to be in greater demand).
It also seems odd since the NCR also runs 2 refugee camps for NCR citizens and locals, which clashes with them also shooting desperate locals for drinking from a pipe 5ft from the lake?
tbf the NCR only shares Lake Mead's water with 1 faction
that being the guys sitting in nellis airforce base with the ability to use precision bombing strikes

There is an encounter near lake mead where ncr shoot freeside/mojave citizens when they try and get water, can't recall of it's cut or not.
this game is over 10 years old and people still talk and make content about it
crazy to think what could have been if obsidian had enough time to finish it the way they wanted
it is a great game with great storyline and alot of endings and outcomes. it really makes you feel playing a real roleplaying game. if fallout new vegas have the graphics and gameplay of fallout 4 i would not hesitate to buy it

That's just how it works when you're producing a marketable product to please investors. If they used a little foresight and drafted a contract more in favor of the game's development, this kind of thing probably wouldn't happen, but a minimum 3 year development plan would also be very hard to actually sell investors on.

I got into a minor debacle with an NCR soldier outside of their headquarters for just being better than everyone in the NCR; I believe he was jealous of how bad I was making their army look.

I don't know if it was a glitch or not, but years ago I was playing NV I had a NCR Military police come up to me once on the Strip threatening me about not paying up, but I was idolized by the NCR so I didn't really understand why he was threatening me, but he threatened me and then I think there was either an NCR reputation option or just a .... and he never approached me again, and this was on the Xbox 360

This happened like 2-3 days ago for me. After I finished the Honest Hearts DLC, I got confronted by that same NCR MP in 1:44 just outside the place where you exit from the cave that takes you to the DLC. I was so confused and had never seen that ever happen before. I quickly checked my reputation with the NCR, but it was still Idolized. I didn't want to waste this guy since I was afraid it would ruin my status with the NCR so I just booked it.
I was playing the GOG version with all of the DLC included.
This scene happens if you have low Strip reputation. You probably entered the zone and quickly left, causing them to follow you across the map
@@armedneutrality8105 That's the thing, I even loaded up an older save where I was just about done with Honest Hearts. I checked my reputation was Idolized with everyone besides the Powder gangers and The Legion. Exited from the DLC and there he was again. And also isn't this supposed to be cut content anyway? That's why I'm so confused.
@@NiceToBlitzYou I don't think a MP soldier encounter in the Strip is cut, because i learned about it from a Fallout Wiki. It's just that he and his friends attack the Courier on spot if he refuses to pay. Dunno about your case though, because it's supposed to happen only when you have low Strip reputation. I guess it'll remain a mystery
I had something like that happen in one of my first playthroughs. I was on the strip around the embassy and the MP started shaking me down, except that I was doing an NCR run and IIRC I had good rep with them. Then again, I might not have. Hilarity ensued.

There is a big problem with that video is that he doesn't really have time marks on HRT things that for cut out his as this RUclipsr does.
One of my favorite cut content that was restored with a mod was about the NCR deserters who tried to raid Primm and the Vicki and Vance Casino. For starters, try to have them surrender to the NCR camp nearby...
But the ncr deserters are in the vanilla game, or are you talking about the option to send them to the outpost.

It's strange how they cut out that MP and water thief interaction. One of the biggest flaws with New Vegas is its under-nuanced portrayal of the "good guy NCR" and the "evil Legion". It seems like they intentionally made the Legion overly evil and obnoxious (for example legion soldiers continuously insulting the courier) just for the sake of having obvious "bad guys". It would have been better with some nuance, including some more "evil" NCR.
Nah, NCR also insults the courier if you have bad karma against them.
Caesar directly calls you a "piece of $h*t" if you deny any of his orders, but also does so General Oliver if you tell him to go F himself after you side with House.
If you don't attack/steal from the legion I am pretty sure that they won't insult you/actually prise you, after all Vexasarius tells you that "you are the only sensible different person unlike the rest [D word]" even if the courier is a female which complete plot-hole in established legionary policies.
The Legion is a future which doesht allow weaklings, lazy people and snowflakes to exist not unlike our reality, the Ncr is awesome too but we live in a ncr society and we see how it goes, Mr House is the best there is period though
Those water "thieves" would have shed light on how NCR's actions affected the wastelanders in the Mojave.

For me personally the reason why I sided with the NCR was because of efficiency, NCR operates the whole region of New Vegas on 50-60% efficiency, while House operates 0,5% of the region on 200%.
NCR covers the security/logistical/governmental needs of all settlements in the region while House covers just the leading role and leaves the rest to the Powder gangers (I am not saying that he can't 'civilise' them, as he did with the casino tribes and transform them into actual decent society, but we did saw how well that went in Westside, House had just:
-Given Benny enough resources to potentially overthrow him.
-Given the cannibals in the Ultralux unlimited amount of “customers”.
-Given the Gamoras legal shield and a safe place to continue practicing their usual “business”.
It won't be surprising if he just gives the Powder gangers unlimited power over the wastelanders in the Mojave).
For the NCR New Vegas is just a shiny pebble for recreational purposes without any strategical advantage outside the defence from the Legion threat.
For House on the other hand New Vegas is absolutely everything and he doesn't give a single $h*t for absolutely anything that happens outside his city, he has no real plans of expanding outside the Mojave after the events of New Vegas.
NCR tries to communicate, interact, and assimilate the other factions in diplomatical ways, while House either shoots everyone on site or uses them once and then shoots them in the back.
NCR can recover from anything (even if the legion wins and you kill Kimball and Oliver) and has the power to pioneer, reverse-engineer, recover any technology and uses it the best way it can (NCR slavaged power armour), while House has to literally beg you to update his windows 10 and press the power button of his underground factory, just so you can watch him as he becomes the most powerful and technology advanced person in the whole fallout universe and then actively chooses to do absolutely nothing with it.
NCR has countless working facilities all full of replaceable personal while House has only himself and his little game of “kingdom” would be done once he dies of old age.
If House's ending ended up at least slightly similar to Elyjah's one, where you both take over the world with the technology aquiered from the Sierra Madre I would've sided with him without ever thinking about it twice.

with the "well well look who we found outside the strip" with the NCRMP if you actually get him to chase you (approach him until he walks towards you) then fast travel to, goodsprings for example, then he will have the exact same conversation

I have literally cried at the fact I will more than likely never get to feel the same feeling of immersion in a games universe that FNV gave me for so many years of my youth. As im nearing the end of what I can do with the game, im looking back on how much I wish they just had more time.

The MPs finding you outside of Vegas happened to me on console once, I was in Helios
The ranger support getting better is an awesome addition.
The Military Police encounter where they attack you outside the strip is actually in a bug present in the game.
Entering the NCR Embassy can cause the MP to approach you, say you should’ve paid and attack, even if you have good reputation with the NCR.
Happened to me once, had to lead him outside before he spoke to me and stealth kill him because letting him speak to me would make every soldier in the Strip hostile.
It does bother me that you can just wander into NCR territory; camps and bases, without so much as a glance from the troops there.
There was no excuse to heavily nerf the radio like that. Would have been cool to have a Vet NCR Ranger as a follower

I remember the NCR men rigged with mines between nelson an forlorn hope, the water thieves from camp golf, the troopers running a course at camp mccarren. That was when it first came out tho.

I got the dialog with lieutenant Hayes just a couple days ago on PC. I don't believe I have any mods that restore cut content I was just playing the game talking to the NCR npcs at primm

TriangleCity has a guide on mods that restore cut content, it is 2 years old though so you might have to do some digging yourself on newer/better mods that restore stuff.

I actually had the restored content mod in and the NCR MP showed up when i was liked in the NCR but i also was liked by the legion too.
Ive managed to get that last ncr mp to happen while i was idolized and waiting in the back half of McCarren

I don’t know how and why but the Ncr mp appeared during my game but the thing was I had Ncr as idolised at the time so there was no reason for him to come to me also he wasn’t supposed to be in the game and then he tried to fight but luckily he was killed by some great khans I don’t know if it was my use of console commands that somehow allowed him to enter my game or something else.
I wish mccarren was bigger. I never understood why the seemingly pre war wall around it blocks off the runway next to it (the runway is surrounded by regular metal fence)

So I'm in the middle of replaying New Vegas on my Xbox and like the dialouge with the NCR Trooper MP somehow triggered in my game while I was inside the embassy. The thing is my rep with the NCR is liked and this is suppose to be unused content. I recorded it on my Xbox.

Most of these I don't understand why they were cut. They hardly would have strained systems at the time which was the reason for most cuts.

Fallout New Vegas is an epic game. I wish there was a mod which allowed the player to install all of the available restored cut content. Still better would be a new game entitled "Fallout New Vegas Remastered". I'd buy it in a flash.

the police attacking you actually happen to me inside the building with crocker in it, i had to kill a lot ncr and was still on their good side or at least unpredictable which is what it said, probably happened cause I killed everyone at helios one with the defense system

The emergency radio sucks! Caesars Favor is way better! At least you can still loot that stuff even if you betray Caesar. One night I was drunk playing New Vegas, doing an NCR run, but I wanted Alice McLaugherty to give Janet her caps, right? Well, 25 speech check wasn't gonna cut it w/her, and so Laser Rifles were fired, who's laughing NOW, McLaugherty? That "incident" lowered my NCR rep from Liked to Neutral, and I only ever got it back up to Dark Hero. As a result, the radio don't work no more, and I can't drop the damn thing because it's considered a "quest" item!
I had NCR MP's attack me in their Embassy. Didn't lose any reputation, but never encountered it before.

No, his only in-game dialogue discuses the NCR's outpost in Primm being their to intercept the NCRCF convicts. Then quest related dialogue for My Kind of Town, I Fought The Law and the one where you collect the missing chemical shipment for the Great Khans

All of these were totally usable and cool cut content why’d they cut it out?
Either unintentional mistakes that were never fixed, or in the case of the soldiers shooting the thirsty locals, because it makes absolutely no sense when the clean waters of lake Meade are like 5ft, and totally free to drink from.

Well, on one hand we have shooting (justified) theives who had their land stolen by the NCR. The Legion, on the other hand, would've enslaved, crucified, and/or bred the women. Yeah, really equal in atrocities there.
What made it their land? NCR can reinforce their claim on the free territory.

This basically shows that the NCR weren't supposed to be the good guys. They're better than the Legion obviously but they're far from being labeled as the "Good side" of the war. Freeside is also a great example.
I dont know why they always delete the good ones, Fallout NV was the best fallout game there is, but it can get even better if the developers aint too rashly developing it
