It's amazing that, despite all the cut content, the short dev time, and every thing working against it, the game turned out so well. 10 years later and I still play it like a madman every few months.

Supposedly remakes for FO3 and NV are indeed being planned and will basically be the hold over until FO6 which won't come out for a LONG time. Development has not actually started and likely won't for a while but it is being discussed. I hope I can learn who the designers of it are because I have, like, a fucking 200 page word document listing all my ideas for the remake and if I can convince the developers to include at least some of them, my life is made.
Driver Nephi kinda-sorta looking out for the female courier was sorta nice to see. Fiends are very one dimensional in vanilla NV. This wouldn't have made them heroes, but at least one isn't a complete sadist.

Hearing that level of raw emotion come from boone just makes me feel.......uneasy. Like I can just imagine him coming back home from a night watch on dinky the dinosaur to find carla missing.....or to come back to novac after having put her down. He goes to lay down on his bed and just..breaks down. Annnnnd now I've gone and made myself sad :(

@@kevray they were meant to play whenever the companions were on fire. That means when fighting fire ants, fire geckos, fiends with flamers, legion hit squads with incinerators, super mutants who had incinerators, etc.
I'm glad most of these were cut. The companion screams are both terrifying but also quite silly considering companions don't die outside hardcore mode, so they just go back to their normal quippy selves after this agonizing screaming. Mr.House's original room looks terrible as well. The secret industrial control room and how it contrasts the rest of the Lucky 38 is much more thematically relevant and resonant. BoS siding with the Legion literally makes zero sense. Not every "cut" piece of content is cut because of time constraints. A lot of it can just be ideas that were improved, changed, or abandoned because it doesn't mesh well with the rest of the game.
The BoS don't side with the Legion. The Legion simply ignores them for the time and lets the Brotherhood wreak havoc and distract the NCR from the dam, while the Brotherhood thinks they have a better shot at defending against the technologically inferior Legion so they don't support the NCR in the war. Agree with pretty much everything else though.
Mr. House room does make sense, the dude is the most relevant person in the entire strip and just left his own body on a smoky, metalic, noisy envoirnment of a industry, sure its different from the L38, but does it look like something house would do considering he might have just built the cassino himself? theres other places that contrast the lucky 38 such as the bunker in the fort and the testing area for the new securitrons

Honestly if Veronica still had her scream, I think I would have actually cried. Veronica is my favorite, and I would have felt like I failed to protect her. From that moment on I would never fight fire wielding enemies ever again.
I hope if someone could or the modders bringing the game back via fallout 4 they bring all the cut content into the game. Possibly tying it all together making the game we almost got. Plus maybe a good ending where house and NCR could team, the brotherhood not killed off, and you can have the battle of hoover dam be this epic fight as the legion fights you, the boomers, house, NCR, kings, BoS, Enclave rememants, the mutants of jacobs town, and the powdergangers. All the wasteland sets aside the squables in order to fight the greatest threat to the region. Maybe leading to a peaceful ending where it is just mopping up raiders and other loose ends as good things happen around you. Finally once you leave the mojave, seeing a restored new vegas and a powerful NCR. Maybe even getting the BoS to team with house and the NCR for once and they share some aspects of technology. Even searching the Big MT.
One thing I really wish they did in the game is let us have Fantastic as a companion if we help him at Helios One. I feel like he would have so much hilarious dialogue.
