  • How to do a whirlpool washer, recalibration & reset.
    Even though this is usually known as a whirlpool reset whirlpool owns a lot of different brands that have the exact same way to re-calibrate and reset. These brands include Maytag Amana, Roper, Crosley, estate, and many more.
    If your washer seems to be stuck or locked up, you may need to re-calibrate. You should also do recalibration if you have replaced any parts. Resetting all the components of a washer is very easy to do with this step-by-step how to video.
    If you have recently replace the actuator, control board, lid lock, suspension rods, splutch it’s always a good idea to do a recalibration. After all, it’s free and easy to do.
    I recently discovered you can unplug a washer while it is in the middle of a cycle and lock up the control board, causing one LED light to flash on sensing or Fill or lock.
    The only way I could find to fix it was to re-calibrate.

    Your channel has been a great inspiration! I work in the oil and gas industry but my wife and I started a side business flipping washers/dryers ! We give a 30 day warranty and so far we have had zero complaints! Can you make a vid giving us some stories of what to expect from customers and steps of how you fixed some of the issues (if you had any ) but basically just wanna know what to expect from the people if something breaks down within 30 days

      Number one piece of advice I can give you is joining the Facebook group “ appliance refurbish, and repair” I wish they were around when I was getting started off. Amazing guys in there.
      Whenever I had an issue with an appliance, I sold on a 30 day warranty most of the time it was user error, hooking it up or using it. Or a stopped up vent pipe for dryers or clogged up drain line for Washer. I change my 30 day warranty to a 30 day exchange warranty. I would never give money back, but I would bring a similar washer out to them if something went wrong.
      I did have a few people just get buyers remorse and return an appliance to me when they found a cheaper deal a few weeks later.
      A good rule of thumb is if you meet them and they seem like complainers don’t sell them anything those are the worst people for lying about every little problem they have and they’ll drive you crazy in the end. It’s just best to avoid them there’s not many of them compared to good customers.
      Be sure to chech out my playlist I’m getting into the appliance flipping business.

      Same. Simple washers lasted 20+ years back in the day. My Whirlpool is only 3 yrs old and now stuck in sensor or it takes 20 minutes to fill and goes to wash and stops. I tried recalibration, but non of the lights come on unless I start it and I'm back to square one.

    I have a roper that I am obsessed with repairing. it fills agitates drains fills again agitates and drains and stops there. Clothes are still wet. I tried to calibrate but I reached the light flashing lights process but when I turned to rinse to calibrate I pushed start button and the lights went out and nothing happened. ANY IDEA?

    My washer actually knocked off the circuit breaker.. so once I clicked the breaker the washer lit back up. That was weird but thanks for this information about needing to recalibrate after a repair.

      Could be a bad door lock. I don’t have a video on it yet, but you can run it through a diagnostics mode to check.

    Hello I'm new to appliance flipping
    And I wanted to know if buying parts like thermal fuses and what not on Amazon is ok?? And will they last??

    • @WasherDryerMoney
      @WasherDryerMoney  10 месяцев назад +1

      They are usually fine. Be sure to check the most recent reviews to make sure they’re not fake reviews on Amazon.
      sometimes thermal fuses will get bad reviews because people do not understand they have to clean out the lint or whatever is causing the airflow restriction. So they will leave a bad review saying that fuse went out after they replaced it. It’s not the fuses fault.
      The fuse going bad is the symptom not the problem.

    I do this and it immediately flicks on and then does nothing. I tested this on another machine and it works fine. Any idea why this one would do that? If it helps the reason there is an issue is the lid switch light was stuck on. Replaced lid switch still having issues

      @Korfucius 2 месяца назад

      @@michaellundgren9534 The board is bad. I swapped in that used one and it worked fine. just an issue with it unfortunletly. a good test is is to manually test the door switch. If it doesnt work when you do that, then replace the board. Once in diagnostics, you turn the knob to one of the settings (cant remember which) and it will switch the lid on and off. Thats when I new the board was bad it wouldnt do it on the faulty one at all. good one would switch on and off.

    • @WasherDryerMoney

      My guess would be one of the water Valves is not working probably the cold valve or the actuator has gone bad.
      Harder to know without being in front of the machine, but that’s probably a good place to start testing.
