Did you know ? You can also slew you Shkvall to the ELINT, so that you can lock laser guided missiles or image-guided missiles to the radar-source.
thx
Yes it does. I found out my self only lol.
Found this out by mistake. Sometimes it helps pushing buttons like a monkey to see what they do. :))
@@bpcuaie 🤣🤣
How do you do that?
An advantage of having high altitude is that you fire missile from further away, fire and forget and then dive away, the dive will kill the range of the SAM.
But how high is too high?
@@erfguuipo8084 nothing is too high
I got the game few days ago and with the massive help of your tutorials rn i am able to use most kinds of weapons available for the su-25 ! I have about 10h in game, all spent on target practice and free flight...my aim with bomba and gun sucks tho :D but i just want to say big thanks for these tutorials
Same with me
Hope you bought high fidelity since
I basically just use Skhval TV to lock and kill every shits by Kh 25ML and Kh 29T. I use it even when I use unguided rocket. Sounds crazy but its funny as hell.
These tutorials are great, keep em comin.
thx
I keep yelling ECM at the screen. LOL
Thank you very much for the video. really help me out
you might have forgotten that you can turn on your ECM to limit the range of the enemy's SAM
how
@@oliispyder standard key to turn on ECM should be the E key
@@oliispyder press E. Make sure you are carrying a jamming pod.
thanks for video so helpful information
great video ,thank you
you should have mentionned the MSP-410 pods as well as the DIRCM, given that you are covering SEAD role in this video thus imao, ECM pods are a good idea
Will investigate
isn't the DIRCM only for countering IR missiles?
Thanks!
That livery tho...
You helped .e more than school dude
i love the su 25 in dcs
I may be mistaken, but I don't believe you have to have the canopy open for rearm/refuel. Engines down, yes, but I'm not sure about the canopy. I don't remember having to do that... but it's been unfortunately a few months since I've been able to use DCS.
Can confirm that you don't need the canopy open. Just the aircraft spooled down. But I'm not sure if it's military protocol to have the canopy open (or even if the pilot stays inside during this?) as that would make sense. If a fuel leak or something happens during arming/refueling and a pilot was inside he would need to get the F out quick.
You can have the canopy closed if electrical power is turned on.
Thx guys
As far as I've been told, it's FC3+Su-25T thing. You can rearm with closed canopy and electrical power off on any other module escept for FC3 and Su-25T. Anyway, because of FC3 I have a habit of keeping canopy open during rearm/refuel on every module.
@@PepperPete11 Pete, I was a Crew Chief on USAF fighters for 11 years. If we did a "quick turn", meaning fuel and weapons as quickly as possible, the pilot could hop out for a break, but sometimes would stay in with the canopy open. Combat turns meant rearm with the engines running. Very fast turn around times.
Why can you not used SEAD missiles against Awacs?
What do you use to control the camera?
Did some flying in MP where the friendly radar/AA also pops up on the elint pod. How can I differentiate between a friendly and an enemy radar? Or do I have to go by the map data?
I donlt think you can IFF the radars.
You have to know the map data as well as what sort of SAMs each side has. You can also slew the antirad and lock certain radars on the HUD
@@grimreapers You actually can, that made me accidentally teamkill because I thought it was an enemy
HOW DID U MOST THAT CORNER BOX AND SELECT THE TARGET TOOK ME TWO DAYS TO START PLANE LOAD IT AND FLY I AM GETTING SO EXCITED
Tepu Games ah ha.have an addict!
Thank!! o7
I made a mission recently for the hornet since we have harms now with various SAMS and i noticed that it misses much more that i thought it would.Anyone else have this too?
As stated in the Eagle forums, this is normal, because we have only the AGM-88C, which hits only to 50% in a radius of 10m of the target
@@Krendor123 you have to move the sam sight from your nose to your sides to help it narrow down the targets position at least in the f16. Which i would assume has the same sort of basic principles
Any limitations on altitude when launching the KH-25mpu? I can’t seem to get a LA when within R.max and min and have a lock on target
Not sure sorry.
Grim Reapers cool cheers. 👍
@@rogerdurham9645 I've been having trouble with it recently, I can lock on the target with the pod, get well within range but LA is never given. I'm using kh-58's.
These missiles will miss. And they will miss a lot. I’ve been in situations where only a single out of six scored a hit. Kh 58 is especially inaccurate. Plus, smaller SAM systems such as Tunguska or Tor tend to shoot them down.
That's realistic, these anti radiation missiles are really old. They were quite capable when they were introduced but nowadays most ARMs are a combination of insane inertial navigation systems and stealth airframes.
Cap, where did you get that livery?
on the thumbnail? I just pinched the pic from google...
Hi quick one how can you balance the aircraft after firing one missile it seems that the wing balance is lost due to that weight is more on one wing very annoying to try and balance the wings say if I don't want to fire two missiles at the same time and save one for maybe another target is there a way around this hope you got the point 😅
Hope I can get some insight on this maybe I didn't understand this part well appreciate the support
@@faisalalharthy746 after firing a missile. Trim your aircraft so that the 'heavy' part of the aircraft will be balanced. But sometimes, if the load is too heavy for the airframe to carry. It will overstress the airframe and will break the parts that is overstress.
@@FITHRI1000 many thanks for the feedback 😊
What i started doing recently is after firing the missile, I press the "Level Flight Autopilot" button. I remapped mine to "z" key but think it is LAlt - 3 by default. The plane then levels itself out. Once the plane is level, I take it out of autopilot and the plane should stay trimmed.
This is quite useful when you want to view the missile in flight. Shoot missile, tap autopilot key, then F6 (Or LCtrl-F6) to follow missile. You can view the missile flight and impact in leisure, while your plane flies level and safe. When you have finished viewing, F1 to come back to pilot view and the plane is trimmed as well.
@@budpeetie6879 yeah that's what i do as well.
Can I fire two anti-radar missiles on two different targets quickly one after another (before first one hits)? Will tracking work for both of them independently?
Yes, the missile will do the tracking by itself in this case, not the aircraft.
Thanks. I have another question, similar one:
Can I switch off Phantasmagoria pod before the anti-radar missile hits and try to kill the same target with laser guided missile? Sometimes the antiradar missiles are not very precise and I would like to attack same target with Vikhr, for instance.
So - can antiradar missile follow path by itself (without Phantasmagoria) once being properly fired? I know they are "fire and forget", but does it mean without Phantasmagoria as well?
@@nikolatesla4030 yes, Anti radiation missile are fire and forgot just like IR missile. Once locked and fire it will continue to track the target until it hit or they turn the radar off.
How do you follow your missile?

This game is so confusing
