We are a family of musicians, my brother is a drum teacher with recognition from the conservatory of Milan, I play different instruments and make compositions and arrangements, and I can say that Band-Maid are truly incredible, in particular, when my brother discovered that Akane had studied drums for only 4 years before making the first record, he was shocked. And little things - even that moment, when MISA`s bass dives for a second as low as possible - 4:08 or this, her fabulous passage - 6:53.
at the end of a concert, I saw Saiki excited by the warmth of the audience, and she was unable to control herself and tears fell from her eyes. She is the dark queen of rock with a vampire smile.
It took her a long time to start trusting the audience I feel. In the beginning she treated it almost as an enemy. She went through a beautiful process.
The last chorus is almost like accompaniment to instrumental part. It's so great.

Yeah they are amazing. Mix of Jazz & Metal Elements in a quality Hard Rock package... Not forgeting that Sweet Blend of Rocker Grit vocal from Saiki with Gentle sweet harmony with Miku. Blooming is just Peak Band Maid. I LOVE this track

How about "The Dragon Cries" next. Miku and Saiki flew to New York to work with producer Tony Visconti (of David Bowie, T Rex fame) at his studio. A bit different for them, not as complex a song as their usual. The rest of the band came in later to start the tour and Visconti attended both New York performances. It's a bit of a landmark, not aware of any Japanese band working and recording in the US with an American producer. Everyone BE SAFE sheltering in California.

What they do isnt revolutionary. They probably steal like hell and put in a lot of "nananas", "yeahyeahyeahs" and "hellohellohellos", but they turn it up to 10, combine it with Kanamis good ear for melody and the pure talent of them all, and make a package which sounds both new and unique. Such a great band!
