I love the double guitar moment, considering that it’s effectively a ‘master and apprentice’ moment. For someone that never played a chord in ‘13, she has become a strong guitarist.
I’ve watched this group mature over the past 5 years and it’s fucking amazing. I’ve seen them live several times now in 17, 18 and 19 (twice). Each time they’ve gotten better, tighter and more confident. Budokan next February is going to be worth every penny it will cost to get there from LA.
MISA!!! MISA!!!! MISA!!!! The bad ass Bass Assassin. You picked a very good video as your intro to Band-Maid and you will not be disappointed. Everyone gets to show off their talents and you can see how much fun they have playing Live. These musicians will be the saviors of Rock because the Rock scene is dead here in the US. Band-Maid punches you in the face then pulls back for you to recover and then punches you in the face again. There are many of us 55+ rockers that love these musicians. Band-Maid's MV are very good but these ladies shine best in their Live videos. I'm sure you have read the following Live reaction list: Play. Onset, Don't You Tell Me, Moratorium, Puzzle(both versions), Take me Higher, Real Existence, Turn Me On and Choose Me
Akane, drummer, MISA, bassist, and Miku, rhythm guitarist, are the tightest, best rhythm trio in Rock today, period. These ladies elevate music to what it’s supposed to be, something beautiful and affirming!💪🏻🤘🏻
I'd like to see how you react to Band-Maid's "Blooming" official music video. Lead singer Saiki shoots the lyrics out so fast at times during that song that she's almost rapping, and lead guitarist Kanami shreds up a storm. Akane, as usual, is brilliant on the drums. I think you'll enjoy it! Here's a link: ruclips.net/video/uUt_JBMocKM/видео.html
Band Maid is a Hard Rock band who incorporate several elements like metal, punk, pop and even blues into their music. The main instrumental section Kanami- lead guitarist, MISA- bass and Akane- drums are all professionally trained musicians who have been playing multiple instruments since as young as 4 years old. They are in their late 20s now. Kanami is also the one who writes all of their music while Miku- rhythm guitarist/backup vocals, does the lyrics alongside Saiki- main vocalist. The band was started by Miku in 2013 who found Kanami on the internet and recruited her. Then Kanami got Akane to join in, as they knew each other and had played together in previous occasions. In turn, Akane recruited MISA who graduated from the same music institute as her. Later on, Miku having realised her voice wasn’t suitable for Hard Rock passed over the vocals to Saiki who joined them through an audition.
Holding the line in Solid Guitar Rock, Band Maid has picked up the Mantel of Rock'n'Roll from where the West had left it in the dirt!! More Band Maid Always!!! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po! .
I saw Sabbath in 76 and Zeppelin in 79 and I'd have to put this band up there with those hard rocking bands, especially live, when the skills of all the band members really shine. Jimmy Page of Zep thought so too after seeing them play live and went backstage to tell Akane, the drummer, she was the best he'd sen since Bonham. I literally cannot think of a better Rock band playing at the moment.
No he didn't say anything about Bonham. He mentioned how much he enjoyed her drumming. People please stop repeating what you read without doing any research so your statements are right or at least put a disclaimer stating you haven't personally seen or read it but only from what I have read from other people's replies. Peace.
Welcome to the world of Band Maid. This performance was on February 14, 2020 and this song was nearly 2 hours into the show!!! The energy these women have with command of the arena crowd is unbelieveable. As I'm sure you have seen from all the comments they have over 30 songs that will blow you away. They are obviously extremely talented musicians but what makes them great is the composition of the music with beautiful transitions. Each member is highlighted equally is their tracks with lots of subtle licks and changes that takes several times hearing a track to pick up. They are the best rock band out now and hopefully they will be back in the USA again soon.
Best Hard Rock Band in the past 30 years. These ladies are amazingly good. Keep listening to their over 80 songs. You will enjoy them all. Listen to Onset Live or Clang.
Band-Maid doesn't have any bad song. Their songs only scale from good to best. May it be hard rocking like "Domination", heavy hard-rock/metal borderline like "Rinne/Reincarnation", slow rock ballad-ish like "Daydreaming", blues rock-ish like "Bubble", or their own style catchy hard rock songs like "Dice", "Freedom", "Moratorium", "The Non-Fiction Days", "Play", "Don't Tell Me", "Real Existence" and many more.
Welcome aboard, Caz. You are embarking on (along with many others) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of rock n’ rollers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (nearly 100 songs with new album, “Conqueror”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their later songs drive even more - Rin’ne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series! Keep in mind that Line Cube Shibuya is a relatively small venue (about 2,100). I can't wait for them to play the Domes, like Tokyo Dome, and the stadiums, like Yokohama Stadium. They are one Dome/Stadium Tour and one anime theme away from becoming legend.
@@GTReactions Yeah no problem I enjoy watching people react to Band Maid they are my New Favorite Band. They made like 20 videos. Everyone thats Reacts to them is just blown away its great.
If you love the backing vocal, you're gonna have such a good time reacting to their song Choose Me (live from the same concert, they uploaded it to their official channel too). Miku Kobato (second vocal + rhythm) sing excellently as a backing vocal . She sing lower register, harmonizing, and in unison perfectly.
you absolutely must see them live they are unique I think they are the best rock band in the world today especially live, I am 59 years old and I went to countless concerts since the 70s, I was able to see all the most incredible super bands of the 70s and 80, and only at the concert of the Band-Maid did I find the same emotions. go to see their concert and then you can even die. Listen to the other songs on youtube, you will discover another world
You're right about these girls owning the stage. Saw them in London in 2018 and I was instantly hooked. Obviously not your thing though and that's ok. They do have harder tracks but they are probably a bit too melodic for your tastes. Thanks for giving it a chance!😁
You've only just started your journey down the rabbit hole. Good music can shatter barriers and transcend language. I don't understand Japanese either but I know when I'm hearing something special and these ladies have it. Welcome aboard. As far as future selections I'd say just check out the songs already recommended by fans or just visit the band's RUclips channel and go from there.
I've seen your reactions to Jinjer, Tool, Gojira, etc, so I'm guessing something a little harder from BAND-MAID might be more up your alley & possibly get added to your play list. If so, try the MV for their song "Rinne" ( Reincarnation ) is the English translation. Either way, BAND-MAID gets you a new subscriber.
@@GTReactions thank you for responding & your honesty after watching Domination & saying that it probably wouldn't go on your playlist. BAND-MAID is in my wheelhouse & is the best "hard rock" band I've heard in 30yrs so I used to push them really hard because I believed they deserved all the recognition they could get. Then I had a reactor, after requesting BAND-MAID numerous times to him, finally responded back & said that he listened to a couple of their songs & hated them. Low & behold, three months later he's reacting to them & absolutely loved them. I left comments on the first few reactions he did asking what had changed in three months time that changed his mind so dramatically, but was unable to get a response back. I could only surmise that he saw the views & subscribers channels were getting & was using them for this purpose & to get patreons & to sell merchandise. I just ended up dropping it because at least he was getting BAND-MAID a lot of views. Anyways, thanks again for being an honest reactor. Take care.
Yeah Band Maid rules. One of the Best rythm section ever. Misa on bass and Akane on drums. They rock so good. They remind me, in another style, Sly dundar and Robbie Shakespeare, bass and drum from legendary reggae band as Black Uruhu.. Enjoy your ride in Band maid s world
You just reacted to the best Rock and Roll on the planet. The drummer, bass and lead guitarist were playing piano at 6 yo. They write, arrange and produce their music. The backing vocalist you liked formed the band in 2013 and did not how to play the guitar, learned on the job. I suggest Puzzle live next. Just think you haven't heard Lovebites yet!? Start with Shadowmaker Everyone BE SAFE, still in California
Miku Kobato who is the founder and the official "spokes-pigeon" (Long story), was supposed to be the singer. She had a short career as a member of a j-pop group. When they had formed, she understood that her vocals wasn't sufficient for the power of the band. She has a great voice for pop (which you can hear on the song "rock in me"(live magic indeed) which they use sometimes after "Mikus magic hour", so Saiki can get her breath back.) Other songs? Blooming, Moratorium, Dice, Alone, Dayreaming...
You have been assimilated into the BAND-MAID Collective. Resistance Is Futile! \m/ Sai-chan absolutely OWNS this crowd! BAND-MAID is: Miku Kobato - band founder, lyricist, rhythm guitar, backing vocals, "The Little Pigeon" Kanami Tono - lead guitar, backing vocals, music composer, Miku's Sensei, prefers "Kanamincho" or "Mincho" Akane Hirose - drums, backing vocals, band leader, "The Gorilla" MISA MISA MISA - bass guitar, "The Barefoot Assassin" Saiki Atsumi - lead vocals, "The Queen"
I think you'll find that they WILL be on your playlist. You may need more than one listen but once you start down the Pidgeon Hole, it doesn't take long before you realize just how deep into it you are. But you'll be glad you are!
You have about 75 more songs/sets these women are true rock/metal. I discovered them about a year ago and like you I love good music I’m a 66 year old metal/rock fan try Moratorium, Dice, Puzzle, Take me Higher! Good luck on your journey 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
They’ll make it to your playlist if you keep listening to them ;) Puzzle (live): ruclips.net/video/6B4o2PiK2Bk/видео.html Rinne: ruclips.net/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/видео.html
If you enjoy the shredding that much, there is a genre of metal called Shredmetal. I don't listen much of it but the band Hope For The Dying has an album called Aletheia and it is a masterpiece. They are heavier music with the harsh vocals most of the time but the first song of the album, Acceptance, does a great job at easing you in. So you could check Hope For The Dying - Acceptance.
They're are usually at their best LIVE , but check out their Music Videos as well, like 'Blooming' and this one, 'Rin'ne' . . . ruclips.net/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/видео.html
About that feeling of the crowd singing your song for you.... React to Blind Guardian playing "The Bards Song" and "Valhalla" Live at Wacken! You won't regret it.
@@GTReactions please do! It's quite mindblowing. There is a very good video on youtube of them doing both songs one after another at the end of their show: ruclips.net/video/i-IcX_bccFc/видео.html
"Would I add this to my playlist? Probably not!". I say don't be so sure! Just wait a few weeks. I'm sure you will listening or react to a few more B-M songs and then we'll see. They have a supernatural way of pushing their way into playlists. If you would have told me a few years ago that my favorite band would be some Japanese girls in maid uniforms.............well, wait and see!
Band Maid is great especially live. Japan is full of great female rock and metal bands. Here is a list to explore Bridear-Light in the Dark, ruclips.net/video/MLM2unV0kwU/видео.html Mary’s Blood-Moebius Loop, ruclips.net/video/BzRe1_Af2_8/видео.html Lovebites-When Destinies Align, ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html Plus many many others
Bruh try Don't You Tell Me live by them!!!! You'll love the middle breakdown. Also they have a few instrumental songs that are nuts live too. Onset is a popular one!!!! Plus a couple of all Engish songs. Don't Let Me Down is a dirty one (as in content) "You make me so wet, I'm always getting what I want... " is the first line. Also a new one produced here in NY called Dragon Cries which is pretty good. Enjoy!!!! 😁✌
If shredding is to your liking you simply have to check out Lovebites. Any song really, my current favourite is the crusade but really you can't go wrong with a random click. Do check out more Bandmaid though, lots to choose from and really not a bad song among them.
If you want a more heavier sound give their song moratorium "live" a try: ruclips.net/video/-c9BDODqXU8/видео.html or Blooming MV from their youtube page
Let me take you to the edge of the foxhole and introduce you to the band that opened me to Japanese rock. Please react to BABYMETAL BxMxC live at Stockholm from this years world tour. ruclips.net/video/pnyugz5DhrA/видео.html I'm afraid it is a fancam as no official mv exists but brace yourself.

Obviously not your thing though and that's ok. They do have harder tracks but they are probably a bit too melodic for your tastes. Thanks for giving it a chance!😁
I will try more and react to them for sure
I am here to React to what people want to see lol, if that's me looking weird at something, it is what it is 😂💯🍻
Welcome man, good journey
Thank you
welcome to the show
Thank you
You've only just started your journey down the rabbit hole. Good music can shatter barriers and transcend language. I don't understand Japanese either but I know when I'm hearing something special and these ladies have it. Welcome aboard. As far as future selections I'd say just check out the songs already recommended by fans or just visit the band's RUclips channel and go from there.
I appreciate that Boom! More to come
BAND-MAID - RINNE, it's fire🔥
Thank you for being here. I will try to check it out
I've seen your reactions to Jinjer, Tool, Gojira, etc, so I'm guessing something a little harder from BAND-MAID might be more up your alley & possibly get added to your play list. If so, try the MV for their song "Rinne" ( Reincarnation ) is the English translation. Either way, BAND-MAID gets you a new subscriber.
I appreciate it Busser! Much more coming
Enjoy your ride in Band maid s world
I'll have to check that out
You just reacted to the best Rock and Roll on the planet.
Start with Shadowmaker
Everyone BE SAFE, still in California
🤘 hell yeah, we can definitely get to it!
Thank you great reaction. More Band maid please.
More to come
Miku Kobato who is the founder and the official "spokes-pigeon" (Long story), was supposed to be the singer.
More Band-Maid reactions coming soon
Another cool japanese band to check out Ningen Isu, they were scheduled to play Coachella before it was cancelles
That would have been crazy! 🔥💯
Ahh... the shock-reaction of crueless people when they hear the best hard-rock band of the last decade never get old.... ^^
does it ever get old watching ppl discover this
You have been assimilated into the BAND-MAID Collective. Resistance Is Futile! \m/
Sai-chan absolutely OWNS this crowd!
BAND-MAID is:
Miku Kobato - band founder, lyricist, rhythm guitar, backing vocals, "The Little Pigeon"
Kanami Tono - lead guitar, backing vocals, music composer, Miku's Sensei, prefers "Kanamincho" or "Mincho"
Akane Hirose - drums, backing vocals, band leader, "The Gorilla"
MISA MISA MISA - bass guitar, "The Barefoot Assassin"
Saiki Atsumi - lead vocals, "The Queen"
No Plans to resist LOL More Band-Maid reactions to come
I think you'll find that they WILL be on your playlist. You may need more than one listen but once you start down the Pidgeon Hole, it doesn't take long before you realize just how deep into it you are. But you'll be glad you are!
More to come soon
Band-Maid、なめんなよ!
Thanks for being here
I recommend the another all-female japanese POWER METAL band. "LOVEBITES"
LOVEBITES / When Destinies Align ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
Looks like I dug a hole here!
More to come soon
Keep listening to them and they'll get on your playlist mate.. you've tripped into a rabbit hole..
I am finding with this Rock genre there are so many rabbit holes to trip into LOL
They’ll make it to your playlist if you keep listening to them ;)

Rinne: ruclips.net/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/видео.html
Thank you
If you enjoy the shredding that much, there is a genre of metal called Shredmetal. I don't listen much of it but the band Hope For The Dying has an album called Aletheia and it is a masterpiece. They are heavier music with the harsh vocals most of the time but the first song of the album, Acceptance, does a great job at easing you in. So you could check Hope For The Dying - Acceptance.
I will have to check it out
thrill, rinnie, the dragon cryes, all song are amazing
I'll have to try and get to them!
@@GTReactions ruclips.net/video/gmhq_KB5eK8/видео.html here real live in Europe in a small room, you can feel the power
They're are usually at their best LIVE , but check out their Music Videos as well, like 'Blooming' and this one, 'Rin'ne' . . . ruclips.net/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/видео.html
I will be doing more of these reactions for sure
Yo Band Maid is fucking savage.
About that feeling of the crowd singing your song for you.... React to Blind Guardian playing "The Bards Song" and "Valhalla" Live at Wacken!
You won't regret it.
I'll have to check it out
@@GTReactions please do! It's quite mindblowing. There is a very good video on youtube of them doing both songs one after another at the end of their show: ruclips.net/video/i-IcX_bccFc/видео.html
MISA MISA MISA!
Ok
@@GTReactions You have to be at a live concert to see the crowd call this out and see her react, usually taking a sip of her Whiskey.
Done let the outfits fool you. They rock like no band right now!
More BandMaid reactions to come
They actually shread!
I agree
"Would I add this to my playlist? Probably not!". I say don't be so sure! Just wait a few weeks. I'm sure you will listening or react to a few more B-M songs and then we'll see. They have a supernatural way of pushing their way into playlists. If you would have told me a few years ago that my favorite band would be some Japanese girls in maid uniforms.............well, wait and see!
I will wait and see :)
You shouldn't have any copyright infringement problems these songs have been reacted to by a lot of people already. Try the song DICE.
Oh but we still get the copyright blocks
React to Baby Metal - Road of Resistance live at Japan, awsome crowd and crazy instrumentals
added to the list
@@GTReactions you won´t be dissapointed
Band Maid is great especially live. Japan is full of great female rock and metal bands. Here is a list to explore
Bridear-Light in the Dark, ruclips.net/video/MLM2unV0kwU/видео.html
Mary’s Blood-Moebius Loop, ruclips.net/video/BzRe1_Af2_8/видео.html
Lovebites-When Destinies Align, ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
Plus many many others
I will have to check them out
🤘🤘❤🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!!! 🤘🤘
Enjoy!!!! 😁✌
I'm excited to get into more!
If shredding is to your liking you simply have to check out Lovebites. Any song really, my current favourite is the crusade but really you can't go wrong with a random click. Do check out more Bandmaid though, lots to choose from and really not a bad song among them.
More Band Maid on the way
You that after doing Band-Maid, you HAVE to check out BABYMETAL. I recommend Road of Resistance or BxMxC.
I have been requested that a few times too! What kinda rabbit hole are you trying to take me in 😂
Not so much a rabbit hole. More of a "fox hole". Lol
If you want a more heavier sound give their song moratorium "live" a try:
ruclips.net/video/-c9BDODqXU8/видео.html
or Blooming MV from their youtube page
ok
noted
ok
nice video!
🙏🍻
Dont Tell Me' live plz
On the list
Let me take you to the edge of the foxhole and introduce you to the band that opened me to Japanese rock. Please react to BABYMETAL BxMxC live at Stockholm from this years world tour. ruclips.net/video/pnyugz5DhrA/видео.html I'm afraid it is a fancam as no official mv exists but brace yourself.
I will check it out
Band Maid,Babymetal, and Scandal...
More to come
Sorry my friend but I did a better job then you but that still was a dope as reaction!! 💯🔥💪
Bwhahaha Bruka you ain't kidding your reactions are always better. (You know Cas will kill me for replying to this) LOL
@@GTReactions we both getting fired first then killed lmao
