- We cross the French border and enter Spain, join us as we stop off at Bilbao the industrial Port City of northern Spain. We find a FREE park up and investigate the city by Train.
As we venture further south and the temperatures rise, is it really too hot for Van Life in Spain ?

When Charlie was a pup I used to watch for him going and quickly take him outside. It took only a few times before he got the idea. Take cate guys

I agree, have eyes like a hawk, as soon as he starts, just say 'outside' and pick him up and take outside. That's how I tried my lovely collie, Salem, apart from the day he scratched back the carpet and left me a yukky present. Take care and love the tours round France and Spain. Try taking cheeky outside every 30 minutes and as soon as he wakes up. He will get it eventually Lisa ❤

Loved this guys. Chico is absolutely gorgeous 🐾 Try moving his puppy pad closer and closer to the door of the van every day. Then place it outside after a few days. He should get the idea in no time xx

Don't forget that here in Spain (at least here in Andalucia) , you should carry a bottle of water so that if your dog pees, you are supposed to squirt the area afterwards with water to clean it up. You can be fined for not doing it - although I have never heard of that happening to anyone.
if i could get him to pee outside it, be half the battle won 😂
Mark's leg wound is looking a bit iffy and may be getting infected. Definitely keep a close eye on the wound, because things like cellulitis can start if any bacteria gets into the wound. Looks a very interesting city to visit. That motor home was humongous 😂 more like something that you'd see in countries like the USA.

❤When our kids were young we used to drive to Spain in a convoy 4 cars with brothers sisters and kids. We went to a place called Castell Montgri -L’Estartit we hired 4 Statics for two weeks it’s a brilliant campsite. OMG just realised that was 36 years ago.Watch out for Cheeco’s paws on those hot pavements. Would you believe my Granddog Cuddles got her paws burned in Scotland. Happy Mark got his Chinese. That Airstream is enormous.I wanted.Safe travels lovelies❤

We trained my daughter's collie-lab, we put him outside every 10 mins told him to go wee wee. He caught on, in no time,he now cries at door to go out.

Chica would absolutely hate a body cooler. He loves being warm and will look for the Sun to sitting all day long.

Loving the vlogs. I had trouble training our Scarlett. Someone told me to put the used puppy pad outside which worked quite quickly. Probably more difficult when you’re touring. Good luck and have a fab time x

Hiya Mark Lisa and of course little Chico its lovely to see you having a lovely time and i really enjoy your vlogs because thy are always full of fun and smiles and find looking around Spain with you get to see places that ive put on my places to go and i also make note on any information i think wil, help us when we get there think we are hoping to go in January so i f8nd your vlogs really helpful..... Little Chico when you put his paws in the fountain to help cool him town ...He has got the cutest face ever love his big ears ❤..... As for getting him to wee outside i wouldnt put a puppy pad out because thats letting him think i can use these in van and outside so i would just when he goes to g9 near pad pick him up take him outside he will soon get the hang of things ..... Lisa, as soon as you see Cheeko making for his puppy pad try moving it closer to the door till eventually you have moved him outside, you will have to be quick but he will eventually get the idea. 🎉🎉
with being in a motor home the pad has always been at the door 😮 gonna try the pad outside the door i think ❤❤
Or try picking him up as soon as he makes to go on his pad and take him outside, hes only a little baby but he will learn.

Hi Lisa and Mark, great video, i use to get them puppy training drop's, they are in a little bottle and you jst put some on the pad he go's on anyway , on the one you are using for outside also, it worked for us ❤

Just trying to catch up with everything......We were supposed to fly to Greece but due to the fires the holiday was cancelled with about 6hrs notice so we ended up coming to Ibiza instead. Bilbao looks nice and I'm glad that mark got his fix of Chinese 😁

I always thought Bilbao would be a bit run down as the Basques are not liked by Madrid but i was really surprised how nice it was Thank you for showing it to us
The basques country used to be a very industrial city. But it has changed a lot . It’s the other way around it’s the basques who don’t like the people from Madrid.
Another cracking video guys enjoy every minute,we sold up 20 years ago and bought an apartment in benalmadena on the costa del sol.we had some fantastic adventures and didnt regret any of it,we are now back in west yorkshire but our memories live on.if you are ever in haworth (bronte country) give us a shout would love to buy you a drink.Looking forward to your next video.❤

@@NorthernersonTour go see Derek in sinatra bar above ibensa bar,have a look round bonanza square,if you head for jupiter apartments that's where we lived bonanza square is directly opposite it you can also park your motorhome in the carpark,something for Mark aswell panda Chinese next to the tobacco shop ,dont do the one in bonanza square it's pants hope your there end of August I am back there.also if you need any essentials there is a poundland in torremolinos next to the railway station.ENJOY loving the vlogs.

If you Pop to Ibiza they have the biggest necropolis in Europe if you can still visit it and Ibiza old town has an amazing view from the castle walls, very expensive inside cast

Nice video. Its a beautiful coast. We were there last summer. Just watch the heat. We had some respite today on the Costa del Sol where we live. 25c last night. Haven't seen 25c for weeks but it's due to start going back up tomorrow. This is how it's behaving, it just keeps coming in in waves. Take care. Keep safe and enjoy this beautifully friendly country. Oh and yes, the Spanish do come out at night in the summer. Afternoons for siesta and mornings for work.

As someone has said keep pad at door n minute he wakes go out n keep saying pee pee, pee pee eventually he will, even pee pad out at door . If he pees outside a treat then the treat gets smaller n praise. That's how we train our chows (we call them chows lol). Brilliant video ❤👍

Loving your video. As regards Chicco toilet training, when you are in the motorhome, why not try taking him outside regularly and see if he will wee, you can only try. Maybe put the pad outside, I think it may work if you keep doing it.

When mine were puppies I used to put them on the puppy pads and say wee wee every half hour and after food and even now when we go anywhere I say it and they will wee and they are 5 years 18 mths old I know it's daft but it works for me lol xx
we are doing that as i used to say it to woody and he always went when i said wee wee or poo poo lol
We bred chihuahua they are one off the hardest dogs to house train its just give him time

Did you not go to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao? We caught the train, from San Sebastián and the tram to the museum. Lovely city as you say. We stopped all along that coast in our Moho on aires.

Looks like you've some water retention in that leg , get into the sea it will heal it and drink more water. sounds daft but retention is caused by regular thirst

I would just try keeping/taking him outside with you when you know/think he needs toilet and have some treat like chicken that you only use for when he piddles outside it’s just catching him and making a super fuss and treat with a really high end treat he likes alot lol good luck ❤He will get there x

Hi, regarding Marks leg, it looks like sellulitus, make a pen mark around the redness to see if it increases. It looks infected, so he'll need to see the dr/chemist cos will need antibiotics. If left could turn to sepsis. Please get it checked out. 😊
