Love you both, you’re very welcome. Following in Dad’s footsteps xxx
@@oliviashaw2773 hey you lol thought i recognised the name lol xxxx
OMG the place is soo rundown & depressing i remember how great Blackpool was in the 50s 60s as a kid we holiday there or southport most years with mum & dad lovely memories 🤩😍 my favourite riders the mouse & the grand national 🤣
crazy mouse went a few years ago
Went to Blackpool on holidays in the 1960s went to see Ken dod and the diddy men and the dave Clark five at the winter Garden
Went with kids when they were small great then.now wouldn’t go back it’s a dump and that pleasure beach is a rip off 50pound no chancex
blackpool pleasure beach is on its ass its not £5 anymore its full price regardless £32 online and £50 on the day compleatly pricing families out and grandparents shame really we used to go 4-5 times a year not worth the journey from skegness anymore === great video 😊
We visited last year and skipped the Pleasure Beach. Took the kids to Ingoldmells instead.
@@FunfairAndAmusementEMagazine I know! We used to go to Blackpool when we were kids and spend our lives on the pleasure Beach. We'd love to take our grandson but we can't afford it. Very sad. All the good rides have gone tho.
Mad mouse was my favourite we need to wake to whats happening in this country Blackpool is synonymous with summer and coast such a shame to see its decline ill be there for the lights laster in the year ....good to see you both and equally great knowing Marks appetite hasn't crumbled now back in the UK 😎
you are kidding that will never crumble
Chris burgers are crap believe me i got stomach bugs from his burger makes me sick too death peoole. Praiseing him
well we had 2 and we are fine how do you know it was the burger as food poisoning can take days to take hold and he deserves praise keeping his prices low
They can’t be good if they’re so cheap…He doesn’t have many overheads obviously…
I absolutely love Blackpool and there is lots of cheap places to go 5 times there last year and heading down this year my happy place....
Please keep coming 👍- just the mention of the name of Blackpool brings out the snobs - ignore!
You should visit South Shields, it has a lovely coast, Chico would love the green areas and beach. Also the Indian restaurants are good on Ocean Road.
It's a great seaside town to visit and a great place!😊
I love South Shields. Ocean Road Indians is top notch 👌
Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach at South Shields between 8am and 6pm at this time of year. But I agree South Shields is well worth a visit. It has everything that Mark and Lisa love. My mum is from there originally and I have spent many summers there.
Also let's not forget Colmans fish and chips! Hilary Clinton visited once. Marine park is nice also. Mark and Lisa can have a go on the little train 😊
Try South Shields you would love it
Only on the main sand haven little haven dogs are welcome @goodforthesoul3050
I love Blackpool, I know its run down, but if you make your way to Blackpool church, its a lovely little part of blackpool and has the most amazing cafe called ziggies, fantastic affordable food.
Well said - can't believe the comments from snobs who have never been!
@@coastliner5848 I go every year to see the lights. We went in May, went to ziggies, we had full English for 2, less than £15.00 for us both, thats with toast and a brew. The shopping centre is so nice too. And I love walking along the front. No doubt we will be back there for the lights again.

I visited about 3 weeks ago! I’m certainly not a snob, council estate boy born and bread! But seriously the place is so run down! It’s expensive! It clearly has a drug/alcohol problem and the poverty is very clear to see!
Massive kudos to your daughter Olivia. That compilation was absolutely fantastic. Very polished and full of feeling. I too loved it.
we are very blessed
My mum took us to Blackpool as kids - please like if you were the kids with a bottle of coke, a straw and a bag of crisps on the pub steps back in the 70s before kids were allowed in pubs - never been back since and no intention of doing!
yup i was one of them kids
I went to Blackpool a few years ago and it was horrible never again
Me too right orrible , dirty place .
Well past its sell by date .
The guy selling the burgers very very friendly great humour brilliant customer service a credit to Blackpool,it’s such a shame that Blackpool is slowly dying due to those who earned good money in its heyday not putting the money back into their business, you would think the local council would put some money into upgrading the shops and bed and breakfast,it was once a great place to visit ot anymore.
They r building a multi million £ complex in Bonnie St a lot of Central Dr is up for demolition also, best chippy in Blackpool is sea fish in Foxhall if you are looking for fish n chips never let you down. They started to charge to get in pleasure beach to keep trouble makers out as far as I know. I luv Blackpool got something for everyone and all ages. Enjoy your time there I just wanted some of your chips looks lovely. Ps they only open Pleasure beach if Its buisy enough I believe. Happy Days ☺️
I love watching both of you! I agree not only Blackpool but the whole country has been neglected for years! It’s sad to see. Keep up the good work x
Every town looks miserable in the rain .Donkeys are still on the beach and the Thomson family do still own the Pleasure Beach .Blackpool is brilliant so much to do .I work at the Pleasure Beach and its never been shut on a Saturday. It opens at 10am and shuts at 5pm , until the summer hols when we close at 7pm and 10pm most weekends .We had over 7000 people in on Saturday so its definitely not struggling 😊
shutting ay 5pm in june indicates it is struggling for footfall as people can not afford it and if the thomsons do still own it tell them to let people walk through again what harm can it do and that 7000 people you mention will have bee 20000 to 30000 20 years ago
@@NorthernersonTour Walking through tempts you to want to go on the rides or buy toffee apples or candy floss while you are strolling past or standing watching the fun.
The cost of the security on the pleasure beach was getting astronomical (not just local gangs and undesirable people, but trouble from everywhere else too) so they had to stop people being able to just walk through.
One of the best events is the annual “Ride the Lights” where they close the promenade to traffic and you can cycle through the illuminations - so many people make the effort to decorate their bikes with lights, it’s a great family event, and it’s free (most years they give away goody bags too!) :-)
Don't know why they just don't call it day on the place. Was watching a BBC Arena program from the Eighties the other day and the history of the place is very interesting. The place was popular with surrounding mill towns back in the day when mill closed for a shity week only and employees flocked in their droves with bucket and spades for the time of their lives apparently. The place was heaving and everyone having a good time.
We used to live in Fleetwood and I worked in Blackpool, guess how much fun it was getting home on a Saturday afternoon in summer 🤣
I know it's gone downhill but if people keep refusing to go then it's only going to get worse
We came to Blackpool a couple of years ago our coach was robbed the place was dirty and it was awful won't be going, again❤
I love Blackpool and i watch it on other you tubers vlogs, but is funny , no matter how many times i have watched, you showed me a different version, even the chippy i havent seen before!, there are a lot of new places being built, its a shame about the old shuttered buildings they cant get rid of because they are still owned apparently, and i always wondered why they dont go on the pier, they should have notices
Great video guys 👍but wow Blackpool has really changed a lot. I've got great memories going there as a kid in the late 70s early 80s, we would always stay in self catering places in Palatine Rd. The things i remember about Blackpool way back then was the kiss me quick hats, the blackpool rock, the big red cat face lollypops and the tower whippy ice cream cones which was the best i had ever tasted. My mum and dad used to take us to a chip shop called Pablos and the fish and chips were really good from that shop. The Pleasure Beach was the highlight of the holiday for me. The Alice and Wonderland ride was brilliant, i remember the little carriages had cat faces on the front and there was always a great smell just at the front of that ride, i think it might have been popcorn. I loved the derby racers and the gold mine ride as well and loved the look of the octopus ride but was too scared to go on it. The other thing i remember about Blackpool was there was always shows on at the piers with famous people from the tv like cannon and ball, One of the years we went we seen lena zavaroni i think at the winter gardens. So many good memories 💛💛
I Lisa and Mark, Liza you look really nice in your blog btw. I used to live in Blackpool for awhile myself it's really gone down hill since I moved away in 2000. I remember how the Pleasure beach was and walking around there. It is such a shock to the system when I see how Blackpool has changed.
yes we where extremely shocked
Oh my..where I had my first date with my now husband Ray ..only 47 yrs ago…thanks for showing us this …brought back many memories
I think everyone's going to Benidorm as the weather is always lovely over there.xx
Is rather go to slaughter than go to Benidor.
@@garyturner5739 Have you been to Benidorm it's a beautiful place, you don't have to go on the strip where it's Hectic go to the old Town where there,s trinket shops and little Tapas Restaurants, and the big Markets you can get some really good bargains !!
Oh my days why did you not tell me you were coming I would have brought you both lunch.
Please let me know next time you're in Blackpool.
Stay safe
even though im a southerner i would like to go to blackpool .
actually i would prefer benidorm

At higgets you can get a five yes five for 350 three pounds 50p unbelievable value 👍🙏
I drove to Blackpool once a few ago but for some reason couldn't get near the front so I did t bother again. It appears that another part of England's history has been sold off again to greedy corporates who are just sitting on the property waiting for it to increase in price or sell it off to middle East buyers! What an absolute shame! But the burger and fish n chips plaice looked great! And the Comedy Square too! Cheers guys. Looking forward very much to seeing you in dear old Ireland! Slainte! 🙋😁👍🏴🇮🇪🙏
we are on our way
Honestly didn't like Blackpool, been once when the kids were small ...would never go back ...looking forward to the Ireland vlog tho ...safe travels ❤
What! Worth hundreds??? I recently gave a Mongoose BMX in VGC away for free. I bought it in the early 80's for my son. It was hardly ever used and was taking up space in the garage. Maybe I should have done a bit of research to check what it was worth. Oh well, you live and learn.
Hello, I moved to Blackpool recently, I am a bit taken aback by the prices of everything from the price of b & bs to hotels, They charge an arm and a leg these days..I went into a chippy the other day I got chips and curry sauce £5.50 and I was going to get a can of Coca Cola, The cam of Coke was £2 on its own. I have been struggling to find a good takeaway in Blackpool, granted I haven"t been in many of them but the ones I have been in. The Food was cold and didn't taste nice. I went into another chippy the chips were terrible, Then I went to a kebab place and got a donner kebab. When I opened it there wasn't much meat with the kebab and hardly any salad. It cost £8 Then I went into another Kebab place and got a Kebab there, This Kebab place had no salad prepared at all, Very Disappointed on the standard of food and the prices they are charging. If the prices stay the same for the hotels and everything else Blackpool is out pricing the ordinary working man. That's why it's not busy.
please try the places we have shown you you will be pleasantly suprised so will your pocket x
I really can’t see why people would want to go to Blackpool these days it’s so sad 😢 Also the difference between Blackpool and your Spain videos is massive in that Spain looks so much cleaner and the buildings well cared for. Our country is in decline sadly 😢 (still a good interesting video guys 🙏) xxx
Frozen chips those if I have ever seen them
Hey Mark Lisa the guy who sent the comment about seagulls leaving is the chap who was half cut you was talking to with the big hat on at scampton hall .hope you both a great time cos we did...
Not been for years. Was terrible then with rusty railings and tacky shops.
Cheap flights have killed Blackpool most families go away to the sun fancy you both coming back to Blackpool after your fantastic trip I bet Chico didn't want to get out of the motorhome in Blackpool I don't think Fred Dibnah was overwhelmed either I can hear him now , Did you like that !! 🤭
Plenty of good childhood memories of Blackpool, sad to see it now 😕
My mum used to love Fleetwood market, we used to get the tram up there.....is it still open ?
we went to fleetwood a few years ago and it looked like Blackpool does now so i wouldn't guess so
Still open and recently refurbished.
Hi guys, we stopped off at Blackpool about 3 weeks ago, on our way up to Carlisle. We hadn't if been before, so thought we would have a look around. We did go up the tower, that was great, the views and the 4D show was lovely to. We had fish and chips before we left, but I can't remember where from. We definitely will go back, spend abit more time there. I m looking forward to your trip to Ireland, as I have never been there, thanks for showing us around take care ❤ xx
It's a great place - thanks for being positive - the snooty brigade come out as soon as they hear "Blackpool".
You should have spread your wings a bit and discover the beauty of my wonderful town, definitely not the WORST (in the title) seaside town! Where does it state anywhere that Blackpool is the worst?
I'm sorry but you stand outside our beautiful closed pleasure beach , and say sad times !! REALLY and your title for video is what ?.... worst seaside ? This is what's wrong with blackpool , and youtube ! You all slate the town, then say sad times !! You get thousands of views . Then wonder why it's quiet ... well I will tell you its because of crap like in this video ... how about a positive view on blackpool ? Unfortunately people, follow many youtubers and take on there opinions and then decide to not visit.... sorry but true and its not helpful
Hurry up and get to Ireland 🇮🇪 for a few ideas
on our way gordon xx
Great Video Guys and no I would never go to Blackpool, not my cup of tea. Same as Paignton Devon, the last time we went there, was so rundown, like most of these places now, have gone to the wall. Such a shame!! ❤ xx
I love blackpool, been going since being a kid an now take my kids and they love it.
Walk on the wild side did a video about the last lap of the grand prix ride. The event was in the evening so the pleasure beach could have been closed due to that.
Thanks for your video ❤
I am coming on 10th August to the air show and bingo afterwards , we booked a premier inn can't wait
Been to Blackpool many times over the years.Took the grand kids there last year.Sea fronts are not too bad but the back streets are slums. Was a shocker.Oh had a pound burger was great.Great vid..
it's like nightmare on elm Street
Classy! No thank you!!

To the two of you 🤗🐕🐕🐕🐾🐾🐾🚐🚐🚗🏴🏴🏴❤️
How sad. Unfortunately I think its a sign of the times, so many seaside resorts have been underfunded in the last 14 years.
Levelling up, my arse! Congrats to your Olivia, what a fab job she did on the last vlog. Looking forward to Ireland, we were in Galway 2 years ago, it was fantastic. Will be interesting to see if it's changed. Safe travels guys xXx
thank you xxxxxxx
I was very disappointed you seemed be intent on finding fault in Blackpool from the start and an awful lot of the things said were untrue not just Blackpool it seems to be fashionable on RUclips to knock everything British please don't go down that road I've watched you from the beginning
Good morning, it was not our intention to ‘find fault’ merely we were comparing the place to our previous visits. We must stay true to our viewers and present our honest opinion of the places we visit.
Just came across your channel since I been blackpool loads of videos of people blogging have popped up and use are by far the best love the music between cuts too good vibes keep it up will be subscribing 👍
@@Scouser1995 cheers lovely xx
I used to work at the Derby Arms in Inskip and on my day off I used to love the Grand National (that was in the 70's)
Hi guys love watching your travels, very informative thank you. I am 67 and I have never been to Blackpool, or Benidorm. I used to live in Southend on sea and that looks and sounds just like Blackpool, Skegness and other seaside resorts. We prefer quieter places. You have been there, so I don’t need to. Thank you 🤩
Great video the food looked really good I've had the pound burger which is really nice but I must try those fish and chips from that shop the next time I'm in Blackpool. Blackpool has just recently opened a new tramway from the promenade to Talbot gate. The pleasure Beach hasn't been the same since they made you pay to even walk through and now it's called Blackpool Beach Resort and not pleasure beach. I just check on the website and it closes at 5pm in June what's that all about. I remember it been open really late with all the lights on the rides that was the best time to go. All the scaffolding on the sand castle is a new water slide they are putting up from the roof. Looking forward to seeing you in your next video.
thanks for the info but the pleasure beach closed at 5pm is so sad to see

love blackpool down 27th july 2nights to watch the famous play fleetwood great beers great weekend allways had in town
I went into blackpool on mon from martin mere caravan park.i was disappointed that the big arcades have got rid of the prize bingo.found a small place on the front but doesn't open till 1pm but with having sticks my back was killing walking around I went and got a brew at central pier where it had tables outside.only good thing was it was nice and sunny went across road 2 a shoe shop then asked 4 a taxi num my back was that bad I couldnt hang around another 2 hours 4 the next bus back.
That is crasy for Blackpool in June a place famed worldwide for the crowds, seems like it's over is it?
not looking good
Loved the caves ride on the pleasure beach a long time ago .
People are obsessed with their phones and Laptops
I’ve never been to Blackpool at all, we only went to skeg vagas, mablethorpe and mainly the east coast like sea houses xx
Stick to skeggy or sea houses 👍
Last time I went to Blackpool was 1981 I think and stayed at my Mates Aunties place. Pleasure beach open all the time and FREE!! Used to Love going on the 'Grand National'! The prom is all different now I see! And even concreted onto the beach! :-( We saw Little and Large at the Central pier, with Jim Davidson, Norman Collier and Frank Carson supporting! Brilliant night that was!!
Wow well done Olivia, I absolutely loved that vlog. Really put a big smile on my face ❤❤sorry Blackpool has died 🙈
re Pleasure Beach being closed. going back to 2009 we went to the Northern Rail Rugby League Cup final at Blackpoo0ls Bloomfield road between Widnes and Barrow. It was a sunday in July, just about the time the schools broke up. It said in the program; don't go to the pleasure beach after the match as it will be closed...... I didn't belive it...we went...it was closed 6.30 pm middle of July. Tower was also closed...we ended up on beach in Clevleys. My sons at the time were 11 and 9. I couldn't bleive it. From 1975-1980 me and father went on holls to Blackpool twice a year; Last week in may, or Spring Bank and 3rd week in Septhember. Always remember Sunday nights going to the Tower to watch the wrestling; Big Daddy, Les Kellet ect and then going round the arcades...we would be making our way back to the hotel by midnight ( I was only an early teenager) maybe stop off at South Pier for a final game of Air Hockey....I just couldn't believe that Blackpool was closed on a sunday night in July....
Fave memories of Blackpool..too many to mention!!! Walking illuminations, Derby Baths, first go on Wild Mouse, Dad buying me my first pint aged 14 in the Horseshoe Bar... Just being on the Pleasure beach during the illuminations...and the teenage crush on the lass I met 30th May 1979....isnt it such a shame the way it now is. Had my first Honeymoon there in 85 as well and my first Kebab in 79, which both me and Father parted company with about 15 mins later. Thanks for the vid...love everything Blackpool, I did one on therinvention of Blackpool Rock

Great to see your faces again. Anywhere with beach and water is always lovely....but I know when the happy memories of time spent there have changed over time, it is disappointing! Sad to see businesses closed down. Looks like a great place to visit, with yummy eats!
that new museum of blackpool, is absolutely GARBAGE, they expect you to fork out 15 quid to go in....im a resident of blackpool, so i can get in for free...it feels like, the council had a couple of spare grand for the budget...beleive me...its cheap..and its nasty...so, for anybody from outside the area...DO NOT waste your money, on this CRAP..they call a museum of blackpool....i think it just epitomises, the sad decline of blackpool in general....
Thank you for that update on modern Blackpool. Brings back great memories, but sad to see nowadays. Glad to have been umpteen times tho'...a long time ago...
NAAAH! “T “ were Gretna Thurnurgerface saving the planet. On a Donkey,II miss Blackpool so much,I worked there in the late 70’s early 80’s near the South Prom. I used to love the Gryffe Pub , Ace of Spades club and Yates’s wine lodge amongst many other places. As a Scotsman who worked there I wasn’t keen on the September weekend as people thought I was a tourist/ Scots pis head etc. They were wrong . The local people if you took the time to speak to them they were the salts. Blackpool ROCKS . So sorry😊❤ Rab

as planning as it’s closed during the winter when maintenance should be done

Looks great .Lyn Geoff and Izzy from York .😢
Its a complete dump now,I'll never go back.Shame, crime ridden and dirty now.
There used to be a ruling in Blackpool where if you hadn't worked here for 2 years you could not claim benefit, you would have to go back to where you came from. In the early 80's, we got a double whammy, Maggies government did away with that restriction and also did away with the maximum housing benefit. At that point we got inundated with people who couldn't find work but were still staying, and the government were paying the now overpriced rents so for the next god knows how many years the people making money in this town were the property developers, buying up houses and turning them into flats. So Blackpool has become a ridiculously overcrowded town with one of the highest rates of suicide and a massive population of drug addicts. That is a quick history of Blackpool for you.
Hi folks we enjoyed your vid of blackpoolr we were there a long time ago in our first motorhome in the 1980,s and danced in the tower ballroom. When you come to Ireland the titanic quarter in Belfast is well worth a visit. And HMS Caroline a world war One cruiser. The drive on the north Antrim coast is very nice (weather permitting).Carrickfergus norman castle. We left Carrickfergus in our mercedes camper in 2014.and have never left Calpe Spain to go back! Good luck with your visit. Dave and Pat
I agree. Blackpool is not Benidorm.
Blackpool was a shit tip ten years ago, and you say it has gone downhill from four years ago 😮😮😮
nah its never been like it is now sorry

Thank you both ❤
We love watching u.blackpool is run down places closing places burning dwn and its a really xpensive place .
Thanks for not being to harsh on a seaside resort people have grown up in or visit yearly when there's a few people who slate the place. It does put people off visiting which is what we don't want. Blackpool isn't always dead there are weekends and weekdays when it's actually quite busy. Think of the events coming up when it will be busy, illuminations season, the fireworks, Christmas By The Sea all three which drove in a significant amount of people last year due to how popular it was which gave Blackpool a boost.
I talk to people who visit from Scotland, America etc and they seem to enjoy it. It just bothers me when folks go around slating the place. We all have different views and opinions on things like there's a couple of areas in Blackpool I just won't go near due to the uncomfortable feeling I feel but there are areas I love and others do to. Blackpool has some great attractions, the Tower being one. I think you just picked a day where it just happened to be quiet and dead but now school holidays are here it's going to be busy.
You'll have to nip back if you were going to around illuminations season and Christmas and see for yourself. It was actually named the UK's friendliest town not so long ago and it is just by the friendliness of the staff in shops etc. I've been going Blackpool since I was a small boy as my family loved it and still do so we were always there during Summer and for the illuminations. Best part of the town is the lights I feel like and a few other things.
Hope you can visit again soon to see how busy it is towards the end of the year if think you'll see a difference to what you saw when you filmed this video.
Take care 🙂
Haven't been to Blackpool for a very long time but seeing yours and other peoples Vlogs i'm not going to bother. It's sadly gone to the dogs in my opinion but seems lively on a night out
