I do love this new shawl. I think this will be my first crescent shaped shawl for our winter coming up. I love the shape and I think a few rows of garter will look good matching the rest. Greetings from South Africa.xx
Good morning, Annii! Thanks for your wonderful, full of goodness and surprises episode.🙏Love your explanations of your design process. The shawl is 👌but I think it needs a different border..the garter at the end would finished it well,l think. No need to apologize for noises,no makeup or hair styling ( you are a natural beauty and love you show the " real" you).Never change! Promise?😉 .Have a good week..hot one here today in Melbourne.♥️👋🐨🌏xx
Hi Annie! Thank you once again for the lovely message and continuous support. ❤️❤️❤️ it’s funny how different things are in my corner of the world, walked to work in -26C today. 😂
Hi Anniina it was great to catch up with you this morning while I had my morning coffee. I loved your new shawl it looks good as it is but I think it would finish it off and stop the tendency for the stockinette to curl if you add some garter rows. Cheers Bub
Great to see you in another video! I agree the shawl looks ok with the icord BO, but something else could make it even better. My favourite kind of shawl at the moment is the semi-circular in bands of texture, like this. I have just finished a couple of Stephen West patterns with this construction (Mingling Daisies and Briornate) and both have a few rows of garter before the icord BO, which works well - so definitely a few garter rows, if nothing else. But I'd love to see a row or two of some sort of eyelet pattern. When blocking, this also gives an option of pulling out some gentle points, to make a bit of a scalloped edge, if desired. Its easier to block, and points looks more deliberate when there are eyelets. PS Team orange! I like the orange alpaca over the yellow. The yellow adds brightness, but the orange blends beautifully and shows the colour so much better. Cheers, Jen xx
Thank you for your input. You are echoing my thoughts here so we are maybe onto something. ☺️ this made me excited about the shawl again (it’s been sitting for a week now) and I think I’ll work on it this weekend. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. ❤️
Your creativity is amazing. Your new shawl is beautiful. Your coastland cowl is incredible. I know the pattern will do well. It is such a beautiful piece. Your videos are great. The authenticity is what brings be back. I have recently tried unspun, and mine was breaking like crazy too. I really like the orange swatch. it is so rich.
Loved all your knits. The shawl looks good. I have not knit any shawl before hopefully will try yours. I prefer the orange colour for your new cardigan. Love from Melbourne, Australia
Use Manchelopi together with mohair. It makes all the difference. One strand or the two. It is easy to separate the strands if you want only one plus mohair.
I love an icord edge but I think garter would look great. I like the bottom rust color for the jacket. I like that you can see the yellow flecks in it.
For unspun, I often wind it into a ball before starting. I also tend not to tension the yarn around my fingers at all. And it also helps to unspool a bit at a time so it doesn’t pull. I just finished knitting the porcelain sweater in unspun single strand (one of the colours held w mohair because it was thinner)
For the Manchelopi cardigan, I prefer the orange color and not the rust Ficolana. The resulting color is perfect for Autumn. Good luck! I’m new to your channel and really enjoyed this episode. Your shawl and cowl patterns are beautiful! See you soon 😊
What an amazing shawl you have made! I love it!! And it will be interesting with the september cardigan🧡 ( I vote for all over orange, even though both colors were lovely) Hugs! Lotte
Breaking Dawn is really pretty! You are so true about the algorithm. I recently came back to making video updates and the first one did good but the next one not at all. Go figures. Long time subscriber here 😅
I just happen to be knitting a sweater with that color of manchelopi! I paired it with a suri alpaca (oh dang from farmers daughter fibers). Anyway I like both! Not helpful I realize. I've no tips, you already know how delicate it is. I don't loop it around my little finger though like I would for spun yarns. Look forward to the new sweater design, maybe I'll have enough leftovers to make it.
Beautiful shawl! Everything you make is gorgeous! Your hubby’s sweater is going to look great on him! I vote the rust (bottom). 🌷🌸🌻
I like your 2 stitch icord finish. It's crisp and finished looking. I'm looking forward to making this one❤
Aaw, glad to hear that! ❤️
I love the colors in your new shawl. I do love the i-cord bind off.
Beautiful Breaking Dawn Shawl. Stunning colors! That will be on my list to make.
Hi Anniina, it's always a joy to see you again! IMO, a few garter ridges would finish the breaking dawn shawl nicely.
I’m starting to think that might be the way to go. I almost already went that route so I should’ve just listened to my gut. 😅
The new shawl is very lovely. My preference would be to add the garter as the edge and then an Icelandic bind off. The gradient socks are stunning
I need to try out a new border. Thanks for your input. ☺️❤️

Thanks Ursula! Im so happy to hear you like it. ☺️I think some garter will add a little more balance to it. 😊❤️
Your breaking dawn shawl is gorgeous!! I really love a three stitch cord bind off
I really like your Coastland cowl. I like the orange tint yarn the most.
I like the combination with the orange color
I really like the shawl, and the edge. It looks great.
I really like the icore on the shawl bind off 🌞
I think your Breaking Dawn Scarf is gorgeous. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤️
Thank you so much!❤️

Love the breaking dawn! ❤
I would have a hard time choosing between the two for a sweater. I like them both. Your shawl is beautiful. Such a lovely design and colors. ❤
Thank you! 😊😘

I think you are right. I need to try that and see how I feel. Thanks for the input. 🤗❤️
I like the rust color in you swatch.
Great to see you in another video!

Can't wait for your cowl pattern tomorrow!

Thank you, I’m glad to hear that! Melbourne is a lovely city, I once spent 3 weeks there. ❤️

Love your new shawl and I would love a little picot edge🥰
Your Amidala sweater is so beautiful! Enjoyed knitting with you this afternoon.❤
Thank you Becky! I just watched your latest episode yesterday. ☺️😘
I love an icord edge but I think garter would look great. I like the bottom rust color for the jacket. I like that you can see the yellow flecks in it.
I totally agree. I will reknit the border this weekend to give it a little lift. ☺️ thanks for watching. 😘

I really like the orange color better...
Your socks are beautiful

Thanks for voting Lotte! And thank you for the continues support. ❤️🙏🏻
Love the shawl!
Ihana Breaking Dawn Shawl! Mielestäni i-cord sopii tosi hyvin reunan pitsikuvioon. Uskoisin että jopa paremmin kuin aina oikein-reunus sopisi.
Breaking Dawn is really pretty! You are so true about the algorithm. I recently came back to making video updates and the first one did good but the next one not at all. Go figures. Long time subscriber here 😅
I guess we just have to be true to ourselves and be happy of those who take the time to watch. ❤️ so thanks for watching! 😘
@@annijuutiknits oh yes, that’s what I always thought of my channel. Definitely not here for big numbers lol. Just having fun and sharing my makes
I love the shawl edge. A picot would be lovely too. Maybe you could give a few options in your pattern?
Great idea! I think I might take pictures and add another option in as well. ☺️❤️
I was thinking pivot edge before you said it. Some sort of pointy edge would be nice.
Lovely shawl.
I like the edge, but I think I would like it more with a garter strip before binding off.
I think so too. 😊❤️
About the edging of the shawl: maybe a 3 stitch i-cord in the second colour (from the start)? Or garterrows with all the colors? 2 per colour?
I need to have a little think and maybe try out different options. 🤭

Oh isn’t that a great color!! 🤩 this design won’t be happening in awhile because I have a few things lined up before that. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
I love this shawl ❤ and I think I would prefer a garder edge, I think.
But even like this it looks pretty good 👍
Thank you. ❤️ I think it needs a little something.
Can't wait to see with what you came up ☺️
❤

Orange in my estimation would look the best. The gold color is to much contrast.
