You are always so busy with your designing...it's impressive! Cast on all the things girl because what is life without JOY!! So much fun watching! xo Marie
This was such a lovely episode Annijuuti, I find everything you make to be so inspirational!! Thank you for talking about and showing your Magic Heel Socks for kiddos, love that red color you used so very much!! Thank you for helping with the test knit. 💕💕💕💕 Hugs, Judy
So nice to have some time here at home to watch your lovely and inspiring podcast Anniina! 🤎 Believe it or not I sat and did some spinning while watching 😮.. new to the spinning rabbit hole and enjoying it a LOT. So nice of you to make the husband those mittens.. it truly is our love language isn’t it? Thanks to you (and Megha) for reminding me to follow my joy and cast on ALL THE things.
Thank you Leanne! I have been intrigued about spinning for awhile now but honestly I can’t start a new obsession when it already is a bit of a juggle with my current things. 🤣 but new cast ons are always welcome. 😄😇🤓
Your hubby did really well, glad he made the choice to stop though. I started watching your podcast Saturday night when halfway through we got a tornado warning (I live in North Central Arkansas, USA) scary storm and lots of destruction but our home did not get hit, but we lost power for almost two days so I’m just getting back to watch the rest! Your black Lento looks so soft and warm! 🪻🌷🌸🌼🌻🌹
Wow, 145 k was soooo close. Good for your husband to listen to his body and stop. I am so loving your new shawl with the stitch pattern I really want to make it. I am currently knitting the Traveller hat, a new release from Andrea Mowry and it is part of her annual make a hat in a weekend challenge. I am traveling, so it is a good project to work on. Now if I could only teach my dog drive, our knit in the car- lol! I too cast on for the joy of it (and abandon projects in abandon too). About to start a Turtle Do e Cardigan for my eldest daughter’s birthday.
Thank you Jennifer! I think it was also the firm recommendation from the crew that helped with that decision. That Traveler hat is so cool, I really like it!
your lento is looking so cozy, amazing how it's just 2 black yarns but still has a lot of depth to the colour. well done to your husband! 99.999999% of people wouldn't even sign up for a challenge like that so getting almost the full way is amazing!
I've just finished a 2x2 ribbed beanie for my adult son and have gone back to a self-drafted raglan tee for one of my granddaughters. Thanks, great episode. ❤
Thank you for this episode! And WELL done by your husband, and I hope he had good use for your mittens - knitted by love from you 💖 I was knitting on one of the zigzag zen blankets I´m working on while I was watching you🥰 Kram! Lotte
Love the Lento--it is such a cozy sweater. Braving the black, I love it! I am currently following my joy and knitting a Pothos Tee (by Beth MacDonald Stone). I find that I go with the joy over forcing myself to knit on something. Though, sometimes I use a new cast on as the carrot to encourage myself to finish something that is getting near the end. But, if I absolutely am not feeling like working on something, it goes in hibernation or sometimes it gets abandoned/ripped out. My husband also loves to run and as yet does not do those challenges now, but used to do adventure races on bicycles! He says he's too old now. Have a great trip! Thanks for sharing with us.
Lovely episode Anniina🙏I am working on the button band of the Granite cardii by Hagenhuset and doing a cheeky Breaking Dawn Shawl cast on later today 🤭Yes,like you..I love to" strike whilst the iron is hot",as they say when I get the desire and inspo.Glad your husband did well and I hope he wore your mittens .Have a peaceful Sunday and productive week.Love that you showcase supermarket yarn here.Quality can come from many places.🙏♥️👋🐨🌏xx
Knitting in a garter/lace shawl at the moment. I only "force" myself to knit on something if it is a test knit.... otherwise I go with the flow and CO everything!! My fingers are itching for your kids sweater, looking forward to knit one for my 4-year old as well! Take care & all the best for your husband's race!
Thank you Cristina! ❤️ I have fully enjoyed making that kids sweater, I’m half way through both sleeves. Although I did make a change and didn’t go with the bobbles.
I have knit 4 of the baby size Rusko Beanie. I very much enjoyed knitting them. The parents tell me they used them a lot. I like how you have set up your area for filming. I have chosen the yarn for my Breaking Dawn shawl. Looking forward to casting on. Safe travels.
Thanks awesome, I love to hear that! My kids have also had a few Rusko beanies and they’ve been in frequent use. I’m eager to see what colors you’ve chosen for you shawl! 🥰
Lol I cast on all the time! I didn‘t want to pick up for the plain sleeves of my Drops Cornfield cardigan, nor did I want to follow the chart of my Xyris top and there‘s the lace Hitofude cardigan as well that is sitting here. So I picked up the crochet blanket that‘s been waiting patiently for at least 8 mths next to my chair 🤣👍
your suovilla scarf looks so chic! love the idea of a kids sweater with that texture! I am literally working on your design today! Kudos to your husband for such an accomplishment, he should be very proud of himself!! PS. I also cast on all I want to, in my mind, I am just leaving it ready for when I want to pick up and knit without having to do a ¨set up¨LOL. Great episode!
Thank you for keeping me company while I was knitting on the coffee break socks☕️🥰 And thank you for lots of inspiration. I am waiting for some yarn I bought to knit a second Tankar tee. It's one of my favourite summer knits. Perfect for the Norweigan summer😊 Hope you have a wonderful trip 🌼
Hello Annina! Thank you for the podcast and being so relatable. I am working on the "A Little Piece of Your Heart" socks by Nancy Wheeler today. I am knitting this pair concurrently on 9" circular needles. The other project I am focusing on is a Love Note sweater which has become much easier since I mastered reading charts.
I am working on the Zigzag Zen blanket & on the last section. Looking forward to finishing before it is too warm to have on my lap! I love blocking and laying outside on a table to dry in the summer so it is ready for Fall. I really am enjoying the pattern and know it won't be my last. I feel it would also make a lovely baby blanket.
Another lovely podcast. Good luck to your husband. My son is a runner too. I am watching from east coast of Canada and working on the Bustleton Tee by Erika Flory Designs in Sandes Garn Mandarin Petit in Medium Blue,JeansBlue and White.
Thank you for the new episode, I like your episodes so much, they make me happy. I love your designs and your knittings are so pretty always. Your husband's mittens look so warm and soft. And, what am I knitting? I'm knitting summer tee: Villapesusulotee in Isager Bomulin. By the way, I have Woolly Wood in my stash and exactly the same colour as in your coming Lotus Lake pullover, so now I know what I'll be knitting when your pattern comes out!
Well done to your husband. He did well. I like to hear about other countries. You mention your children go to day care. Is this school or do they start at a later age? Here in England they start school at about 4/5.
In Finland the actual school grade 1 starts at the age of 7. At five they already start familiarizing numbers and letters at kindergarten. So my boys are 5 and 6 this year, the younger starts his pre preschool this August and my oldest goes to preschool.
coming in late here, but i’d love a pattern for your husband’s race mittens :). the fingertips are rounded so nicely, and i very much like the wrist design (i’m so not a lover of ribbing). thanks for a great episode.
I think another pattern is a good idea, the details differentiate them. The race sounds punishing, I once did a marathon (many years ago) and it was the worst. I admire people who take on these sorts of challenges, but not for me!
You are most welcome,Annii.Easy to spur you on as you do me.! Love what you do and the person you are.xx
❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much! So much inspiration, what can I say?! 😇🥰

So many good things happening with you designing. Looks like you caught that bug! Congrats to your husband! It's a tough challenge!
Thank you Dorothy! ☺️ I have truly been very inspired lately.
Making a Tin Can Knits Barley hat for a friend's son while I watch tonight. Thanks for a great podcast!
Go for it, such a pleasant process!

Thank you, I think it looks great too. ☺️ you are right, that is such a crazy challenge not a lot of people would ever consider. He did great. ❤️
Lovely episode and kudos to your husband!
What I am working on while watching you: the stockinette body of a top down tee. Usually it is some kind of blanket
Nothing so soothing like a mindless stockinette. ❤️😍
I've just finished a 2x2 ribbed beanie for my adult son and have gone back to a self-drafted raglan tee for one of my granddaughters. Thanks, great episode. ❤
Raglans are always so fun to make! Thanks for tuning in. 🥰
Again, sooooo funny, Anniina. You and your amazing comical talent. THANK YOU 😍😍😍
Or is it just me being myself 🤪 thanks Ingeborg! 🥰
Thank you for this episode! And WELL done by your husband, and I hope he had good use for your mittens - knitted by love from you 💖

145 km … that’s amazing

Thank you Cristina! ❤️ I have fully enjoyed making that kids sweater, I’m half way through both sleeves. Although I did make a change and didn’t go with the bobbles.
While I'm watching you today I am finishing off the first sleeve of my Weekender jumper by Andrea Mowry 🥰
Such a great sweater! Thanks for tuning in!

I love that way of thinking! 🤩 so I’m not being irresponsible, I just do myself a favor setting up! 😎❤️🤪
Love the new shawl. I just finished a pair of striped socks and cast on another pair.
Yay, socks are just 💎! Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you Anne! I’m so happy to hear you like that tee. It’s my favorite too but I’m biased. ☺️😇
I need to make some magic heel socks still! It’s so awesome,
You should! They are great! 😍❤️

I am knitting this pair concurrently on 9" circular needles. The other project I am focusing on is a Love Note sweater which has become much easier since I mastered reading charts.
That’s wonderful! Charts do help to speed up the lace knitting! Not that our knitting should be speedy. 😇

Thank you, you are so sweet! That’s a lovely pattern, thanks for sharing.😇❤️
I am working on a black sweater for my husband fingering weight sockyarn needles 2,5mm. Love your podcast as always .
Oh my, I take my hat off to you! I have never made a sweater with a smaller than 3,5mm needles! Let alone in black! 😅
Hi I am working on the clockwork shawl by Stephen West over here in British Columbia Canada
I love Mr West!

@@annijuutiknits yay!!
I think another pattern is a good idea, the details differentiate them. The race sounds punishing, I once did a marathon (many years ago) and it was the worst. I admire people who take on these sorts of challenges, but not for me!
Im suffering from a severe case of castonitis as well, but as the saying goes, there is no knitting police
That’s right! We should do as we please. 😇🤪
