I really respect this list, with the Hunt being my favorite film too. I can't believe how many times I've watched it and was left in awe after Mikkelsen's performance.
Awesome video! Loved it!!! I checked out Fallen Angels because of your 100 films in 100 seconds and absolutely fell in love with WKW’s works. I’ll check out some of these films as well!

Amazing list, so many movies I love on here!
Superb list! I feature a few of this movies also in my top 100 movie list :)
I'm a lapsed film buff my self. In my 20's early 30's I was averaging watching almost 200 movies a year but I took a break and focused on other hobbies. Now I probably watch 20 or less movies a year but someday I'll get back into it. Based on your list you have very good varied taste in movies. I'm a big Kubrick fan also do you not care for Eyes Wide Shut? My second favorite Kubrick after A Clockwork Orange.
Still have to watch Eyes Wide Shut, Barry Lyndon and Spartacus to complete Kubrick’s filmography. The first two will be watched over winter break but I cannot lie, I am dreading Spartacus lol
@@ThePromG It's been awhile since I've watched Spartacus and Barry Lyndon but I enjoyed Spartacus quite a bit more. I'm not a big fan of Barry Lyndon.
awsome video!! will add some to my watchlist!! i highly recommend also checking The Guilty (2018) which blew my mind completely! Showgirls also by Paulverhoeven
The Hunt is phenomenal man
Great video. Whiplash and Parasite are both in my top 10
Great list. I was very happy to see The Hunt as No.1. Highly recommend the movies of Wong Kar-Wai. Starting with Chungking Express and Fallen Angels. And the South Korean film Silenced is just as heavy as The Hunt
Really like both of those movies! My most recent Wong Kar Wai movie was In the Mood For Love which I didn’t like as much, but I need to get back on his stuff
15. Wolf Children
14. The Thing
13. Little Miss Sunshine
12. The Shining
11. Princess Mononoke
10. Suspiria
9. Knives Out
8. Lost in Translation
7. Howl's Moving Castle
6. Return of the King
5. La La Land
4. Before Sunrise
3. A Ghost Story
2. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
1. Jaws
Lost in Translation was the most godawful piece of crap I ever seen.
@@Dude_Slick imma be honest I still love it but I don't think it's one of my favorites anymore
@@zachsutton6195 I'm not judging you man. If you like it, cool. Just not my thing. And I'm a fan of both Bill and Scarlett.
@@Dude_Slick of course I still like it but I've watched a lot of movies this year and I think LIT has fallen off my top 10
You have awesome taste! I've been planning to make my own list, I just have a few movies I want to see first. Just wondering how you got the clips please?
I got clips mainly from RUclips videos and torrent
@@ThePromG thanks
Okay, which of these movies are on par or more messed up then requiem for a dream? There’s a ton from this list I haven’t seen but I’m scared
If you’re looking for messed up, I would say Come and See is the cream of the crop. The Hunt, Tar, Eraserhead and Clockwork Orange are also pretty f’d to a certain degree
Sync this up with Symphony Number Seven by Beethoven and it syncs up with the movements and beats of the video. Great picks, The Hunt is a masterpiece.
Did you sync it?
@@shiven513 He would have to make an entire new video..
Whic application did you use to combine all these youtube videos ?
I use Sony Vegas Pro 17
Wow atleast 20 films on here i havent seen yet or heard off. Will note down some of the titles incase i need something to watch christmas weekend.
Awesome man, let me know if you enjoy any of em!
well, you have one of my 13 all time favorite films on your list, Goodfellas.
What else is on your list?
@@ThePromG I'm old school and a filmmaker myself. Truth is I have seen maybe 20 films of the last 40 years...lol....no kidding......My favs are Dr. Mabuse the Gambler, Sunrise, The Rules of the Game, I Walked With a Zombie. The Flowers of St. Francis, Kiss Me Deadly, The Searchers, Touch of Evil, Vertigo, Shoot the Piano Player, Demy's Lola, Contempt and Goodfellas
Honestly shocked Godfather 2 isn’t here. I think it’s even better than the original
At the time of making this video I hadn’t seen it yet. Since then I have and I rank it about the same if not a bit higher than the original
@@ThePromG Nice
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is my favorite for sure
Was so happy to see la la land at 3, loved that movie. My favorite movie is scream.
Love Scream, one of my favorite horror movies!

Your #11 is my #1 :D
What about Oldboy or Battle Royale (2000)?
Both have been on my watchlist for years. I’m gonna start working on a “manga adaptation movies” video soon so I’ll likely watch them very soon
interesting list
Thanks!
Great list. Have you watched Harakiri, Cassablanca or The Good, the Bad and the ugly? Also, not a single Christopher Nolan movie seems kinda bogus to me.
This was made before I saw any of those movies. Oppenheimer and maybe Inception would make the list but I hadn’t seen them when this vid was made
My favorite movie is prisoners
Gotta watch this soon, love Jake Gyllenhaal!
W taste dude
Mad respekt for putting the hunt or as we say is Sweden, Jakten, at number 1!
A lot of films I love on here and a lot of films I’ve been meaning to check out. Some of my favorite movies are Donnie Darko, 2001, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Perfect Blue.
Love all of those movies! Which ones in particular do you want to check out?
@@ThePromG I really want to see Come and See but I’m scared it’ll mess me up lol
@@spacedog644 It’s dark due to the real subject matter but you’ll be fine!
@@ThePromG I saw Come and See last year. It's a brutal, but powerful film and it definitely stuck with me for that entire month. Although It's definitely one of the best War/Anti-War films I've ever seen. Up there with Schindler's List and Apocalypse Now.
I’m just like, what’s the point of making a top whatever films when you’re constantly watching new ones everyday, the list is bound to change endlessly. I have a #1 and #2 favorite and that’s it.
It's fun. Plus if you keep track of what you liked and then something new comes out that really blows you away you'll be able to compare the newer movies to the older movies. Then if everyone has movies in common they love, those can be held in high regard and deserve more recognition.
I've been pretty disappointed with movies in general in the past 10 years, with plenty of exceptions (2019 was a pretty good year). I don't expect any movie to come out that will crack my top 10 list, but if it does I'll be pleasantly surprised. I currently have a list of 100 that I'm adjusting into a top 150.
@jmeds94 Meh, I don’t see the point of having a constant reminder of movies I already kno I love. And if I happen to forget one of them, it’s always a joy to rediscover it through conversations with people and revisit. Also don’t see a point in ranking them. Every film I’ve seen has done something for me in its own way. It just seems pointless.
@@JT_1998 Fair enough, to each their own. What is your #1 and #2?
@@jmeds94 Rocky, Spirit of the Beehive

Idk if you seen it but heat by micheal Mann is one of my favorite. Recommend if you haven’t seen you might like it
That’s funny i literally just watched it for the first time last night 😅 Didn’t quite click with me like I hoped but I’ll revisit it eventually
lol hey at least you checked it out before making this list. Also no satoshi kon or David fincher? I also recommend prisoners and everything else from that director. Still a great list keep up the content!
Jurassic park is my #1 favorite movie
You must be exited for Babylon.
Extremely.
La La Land at #4?!?! Come on!! And I’ve never even heard of The Hunt haha.
No La La Land slander will be tolerated in this comment section. The Hunt is the most emotional I’ve ever been watching a movie, definitely check it out
@@ThePromG Wasn't a huge fan of La La Land to be honest. It was a great film, but not something I'd come back to for awhile. Although I totally agreed with your pick on the Hunt and It's probably Mads Mikkelsen's best role other than Hannibal.
My Favorite movie of all time is The Wolf of Wall Street but I’m not much of a crazy movie guy
Believe it or not I still haven’t seen this one!
id have to add cinema paradiso.
All Christopher nolan movies left the chat
A lot of these would make it on to the best films I’ve ever seen, but not my favorites. Come and See is easily one of the greatest films ever made, but certainly not something I can just throw on all the time. I view my favorites as something I can watch over and over
A movie I could watch endlessly is Dazed and Confused
@@ThePromG Dazed and Confused is easily a top 5 film for me. I've seen it probably a 100 times and I love it even more each time. The only other films I've seen just as many times are Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and John Carpenters The Thing.
im not supposed to talk about my favorite movie..
Understood 😅
Oh my God you like the Lighthouse? I absolutely hated that movie, damn I hated it. I also don’t like A Clockwork Orange.

Hi, I also made a video about my favorite movies. I recommend you to go and see it. Thank you and sorry if I disturb with my ad.
Here’s how I’d rank the 4 old movies I’ve seen
4. Citizen Kane: boring ass movie but has a good story and was very influential to the film industry
3. Vertigo: a good Alfred Hitchcock film with a good ending and cool visuals
2. Singin’ in the rain: a great musical that has catchy songs and great acting, no ad good as la la land in my opinion but it’s not far from it
1. It’s a wonderful life: a great sad but wholesome Christmas movie with great acting from James Stewart and really hits hard considering it’s impact on people’s lives.
I would love to think your thoughts on this and your reasoning for putting those movies in the place you did.
Not one of these films would make my top 100.
You must’ve seen a lot of movies then lol (or not many of these)
@@ThePromG I've seen a fair amount off of this list. A couple of them were watchable, but stuff like the Godfather or the shining are utter garbage to me. And to include a godawful reboot like Fury Road, when any part of the original trilogy was far superior, especially The Road Warrior. Well that just feels odd to me. And yes. I'm 61, and to say I've seen a lot of movies would be an understatement. My top three would be 3: Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, 2: Star Wars - A New Hope, and 1: The Ten Commandments.
@@ThePromG Keep in mind that this is not a judgment of anyone who disagrees with me. We all like what we like. Which is what makes life worth living.

Hate to nitpick but Kill Bill is not 2 separate movies technically. Tarantino counts them as 1 movie.
It wasn’t intended to be two movies but they were released as two separate theatrical volumes so I count them separately
