The Sonata No. 7 in D major, Op. 10 No. 3 is on a grander scale than the previous six sonatas. The introduction of the first movement's second theme is delayed by means of a fragment in the relative minor. The D minor slow movement is especially expressive, building dramatic tension only relieved by the succeeding Minuet. The final Rondo begins hesitantly before finding solid ground.
The Grammy award-winning pianist Daniel Barenboim has been active on the concert stage since the age of seven when he made his stage debut in his hometown of Buenos Aires. Well known for his work with the East-Western Divan Orchestra, a group of young Arab and Israeli musicians, he is currently the director of the Berlin State Opera, La Scala (Milan) and the Staatskapelle Berlin. Barenboim is described as "one of the few musicians in the world today who could accurately be describe as legendary".

For me this is the best interpretation of this peace. The whole idea of the peace is brought up perfectly. It shows the playful and poetic side of Beethoven, all in one, while not being too virtuosic and robotic.
Barenboim - always a wonderful artist and now - a major conductor!
wow agree

Piano Sonatas Op. 2 Nos. 1, 2 and 3 were dedicated to Haydn, not this one. Op. 10 Nos. 5, 6 and 7 were dedicated to Countess Anne Margarete von Browne.

I played the 3rd mov as 1 of my grade 7 poeces many moons ago
Maravilloso largo, tal vez demasiado lento en la interpretación de Daniel pero muy poética. Busco el análisis de la forma JOSÉ ANTONIO GUZMÁN
All these films say the sonata being played was dedicated to Haydn - only the first three sonatas, opus 3 were.

The theory of Authentic Sound is basically the flat-earth theory of the music world
