SMOKED'EM!!! Early Fall Smallmouth Bass Fishing (Jerkbait/Ned Rig/Blade Bait)

- I know it's been a while since my last video, but I'm back!!! Fall is here and the water temps are dropping so I headed up to my favorite mountian lake in Maryland to do some early fall smallmouth bass fishing. My son Austin was along for the ride and the smallmouth bass were biting. It took a bit to figure out the smallmouth, but after a few bites on the jerkbait, I switched to the ned rig and finally a small 1/4 oz SteelShad blade bait. The bite was on fire once I made the switch and plenty of early fall smallies made it in the net!

Thanks man! Did ok last day there, think it would be a lot better when the water temp is lower. Missed out on a big one over off the flat right off the point from the intake tower. Of course a ned "new money color" rig. If you make it back up let me know if the water temp is below 60 degrees. I definitely think it will make a big change! The fish really came up at dark and right after. It was like one after another for like 30-40mins and it didn't seem to matter what you were throwing at them.
It's great to see you out on the water again. Nice to see you bring your son along. He will have great memories fishing with you.

Congratulations on 10th in the super tournament that's awesome!! Did you qualify for regionals? I zeroed in the super tournament in the Ozark Division. 2 shorts and that's it. Can't wait until next season.
THX!!! This was the 1st year I did not qualify for the regionals but I was close enough to hope for a call in case they need more Coanglers.

@@Mass_bigbaits that's true but I tried to put my kayak in the water at Fort Armistead in Baltimore. I found out that day if the crackheads don't get you the high waves will!
