  • According to the legend, Daedalus built the maze to keep the Minotaur until Theseus was able to defeat him one day. The maze was so complicated that even Daedalus himself got nearly lost. A Puzzle built by him? It sounds like a challenge! Hmmm, let's see! ;) Made and designed by Nkd Puzzle!

      I think for a puzzle like this that looks like it might be complicated, I'd spin it on all sides, at least one time for each face of the cube, first. I don't know why, but I'm always talking to the screen to spin it first. I may need meds for that kind of OCD, lol. I love your videos.

    The best approach would be to start with alpha, see where to put it, and move it, and then the next one would be whatever was on the alpha slider, then you would never need to search for a symbol.

    Ariadne, the daughter of King Minos, gave Theseus a ball of red thread to unspool behind him so he wouldn't get lost in the labyrinth.

      As MrPuzzle mentioned that he did not speak French - I think he was wondering about that name/text - not the red thread. I think Ruediger has the right idea.

      Even easier, he seemed intent in going in alphabetical order....but it would have made more sense to do the one he just moved next. So, if alpha made you move the one showing the delta combination, do delta next....then if that one makes you move the epsilon one, do epsilon next.

    A better way to do it is start with Alpha 1 and then going to the where that stick tells you to go next. Then do that one.. go where that stick says so you don't have to keep moving solved ones.

  • @20catsRPG
    @20catsRPG 4 года назад +1

    A nice puzzle but pretty easy to solve once you get the principle. Unfortunately, can be solved rather easily even if you don't and never notice the hints at the bottom of the sliders, in fact even if you can't read. Each side is a simple combination lock. Set the first and second slider into position 1, the run the third slider up and down. Then set second slider to position 2 and repeat. You only have to go through 5x5 combinations and once you find the right one the spring loaded bolt will pop up and you've hit the jackpot. Repeat for all 4 sides of the cube. I dare say you would solve it faster this way than looking at the hints and lining up the symbols.

    fil d' ariane loosly translates to breadcrumb trail, not necessarily bread, and refers to the trail left by Theseus when he fought the Minotaur.

  • @louismarina7225

    Fil d'Ariane is the thread of Ariane. She gave it to Theseus to help him find his way back out of the labyrinth .

  • @andychow5509
    @andychow5509 4 года назад +2

    Fil d'Ariane means a few things, but mostly it's the story of how a princess helped a guy fight and kill a Minotaur. The beast lived in labyrinth, and people would get lost and die. Ariane told him that if he promised to marry her, she could give him the tool to always find his way back. He promised, and she gave him a long red thread. With it, he was able to explore the labyrinth with ease and accomplish his task.
    As a reward, he took Ariane to travel in his boat, and quickly dropped her off on an island and abandoned her, where she died of sadness. Or possibly starvation. He eventually became the king of all Greece. So it worked out good for half the people in the story. A third if you include the Minotaur.

      Nice contribution! I'd add the part where he had told his father, King Aegeus, that he'd come with white sails if he had defeated the Minotaur, and that the ship would have the black sails he set off with, if he died. With all the partying, he forgot to switch the sails, so when the king saw the ship, thinking he lost his son, he commited suicide by jumping into the sea, and from then on you got the Aegean Sea 😀

    Sorry, but €188 to get the Scriptum KIT (780 for the assembled box), and forced to also pay for a City kit, this is a hard no-go. Especially when they literally say themselves that very little work goes into actually making the kits in flat-pack. I live the design, and will be happy to pay the designer for the design, but having to pay more than twice what it's worth by being forced to also buy another puzzle, that's bullshit...

    Hi, this solve reminded me of an algorithm you can use: instead os doing alpha, beta, gamma etc. in order. Start with alpha, then look at which letter is behind alpha, do that letter and look whats behind that letter and continue untill back to alpha. You might not get all pieces in one go if there are two or 3 of these loops so you might have to do it again from an unsolved piece. But this algorithm is guarantied to not cause issues where the next letters information is hidden.
