It would be cool if ACO Pros vs ACL Pros played like a Cornhole SuperBowl. If both "League and Organization " could approve each others bags. Anybody else like the idea? Finally, someone said it about the bag conspiracy. 💯
Theres going to be 100 pros but there will also be the jr Pro, Sr pro, and woman's pro. Divisions. And the elite players just like this year will be able to play into the Pro events.
I think you’re onto something Mike, with the ACL bag requirements. If BG/All Cornhole have access to the 11 secret herbs & spices of another bag company - that’s effectively insider trading. ACL should only be concerned about bag size, weight, height & making sure the fill is a plastic resin of some type. Ultimately the customers will decide which bags are best based on playability. The ACL are starting to act like a Dictator.
Is it uncommon for bags to weigh 1-2 grams difference in a set. Got a new set of bags and a couple are 450 and another 452. Does this make a big difference for me to be concerned about? Thanks
It's not uncommon. However, it may be because of the scale you are using and not the bags. I use a digital kitchen scale and I have noticed that it can be off by a few grams at times. That's why I rarely mention weight in my reviews.
ACL setting themselves up to be only bag supplier for the ACL "league". They will do this through BG and it looks like they are starting to do this now.
There will be a few bag companies you can use. I feel like the big 3 being BG, Ultra, and AllCornhole. Those will be the only acl stamped bags coming up.
Why don't you make a formula to convert the bag companies with more players into not as many points for placing. For instance, since BG has so many more players, they get a multiplier of 0.6 since by volume they have way more of a chance to win vs other teams, and a smaller team gets a multiplier of 1.5 for points. Maybe take first place points for every team/players and add them up, and take those totals and somehow convert them into a formula for a ratio of points.
That wouldn't be fair to the big companies. With a multiplier like that, BG could win every Open and not finish in first. There really isn't a way to balance it out. The bigger companies have more players so they are going to have better odds at finishing higher.
@MikesBags that's just an example. The Multiplier wouldn't be that low, or high for the small teams. I'm no math major but if you cross multiply, the ratio will balance itself out. I don't know your point system or the total number of throwers per company, but for instance if BG owns 25% of players, say 50/250. That's one part of the fraction that gets multiplied. I promise there's a way to figure this out in a ratio that's fair. Because as it stands, the most players on a company will win almost no matter what by chance. That's like someone having 25 tickets out of 50 in a draw. That person statistically will win every time. If you balance it out by math, there is a formula to convert a ratio. I'm just not smart enough to figure it out. If I get how you score points, I think I can have someone work it out. I think i could prove it in a way to be fair and show you the numbers.
Corruption is everywhere, and it’s certainly inevitable if bag companies own or partner with a league.

Yes
The ACL is making the ACO look more and more enticing.

I’m willing to bet acl going to create their own bags and you can only use ACL bags for events
ACL setting themselves up to be only bag supplier for the ACL "league". They will do this through BG and it looks like they are starting to do this now.
@ it’s a great business move. I would do the same if I were them. Now they can capture all the bag sales.
There will be a few bag companies you can use. I feel like the big 3 being BG, Ultra, and AllCornhole. Those will be the only acl stamped bags coming up.
@ they wouldn’t do that cuz the acl is bigger than the aco so they prob won’t give them shine
I said this exact thing in Mike's theory of BG and ACL becoming one. They are trying to monopolize the bag business.

Time to form a Bag Co. Union
I would love to see you say which bags are winning the top spots in the tournaments
I'm not sure what you mean. I did go over which bags won, not only this Open but the past two Opens also.
#wewantDia
There's still division for everyone so everyone can still play and win technically.
