Seeing the Doomsaw on Ola Testing Shit is pretty incredible. Thanks so much for checking it out, man! That guitar is killer.
I ordered mine at release, absolutely love it!
Cool shit Steve !
Synergy! I visited DID on Wednesday for the first time to look up a HOF track.
@@Thewizardof812the coolest 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@spoonerluvglad to hear that! 🪚🪚
I’m surprised Ola did play any riffs from Sweden’s other national treasure, the almighty CANDLEMASS!!!
+1 for the comment and another +1 for your mh inspired profile pic
Or Salems Pot
He played a clean Opeth riff at 2:44. Can’t remember the name of the song though, and I’m too lazy to look.
*didn't
One of Sweden's finest! Lars Johansson is one of my idols. "Heavy, heavy monster sounds!"🤘
YES, we need more D.I.D. pedal demos from Ola
yes and learn some Sword riffs
Yes! Would love to see him demo the Baghdad.
I believe the answer is "yes." It does, in fact, doom.
This tone is highly reminiscent of the sounds I make in the restroom after a good meal in Taco Bell
That's called the Trump Onstage pedal. 💩
@Brutuscomedy you mean Biden crapping himself everywhere he goes, right?
So you're ready to do it on stage 🤘💩🤘
i would play electric wizard entire discography with that damn pedal, fucking awesome
hell yeah, same lmao
shoutout dorset lmao
i own a couple does it doom pedals. if you wanna go for electric wizard , id recommend their agartha and fuzzcoven pedals.
There is already a dedicated Sabbathi knob on the Does It Doom store that will work better
@@Destrodooomocculta Boss Hyper Fuzz FZ-2
I'm both a Doom and Chug guy so this video's up my alley because when you blend the two it's party town all day long
Doom with Chug, that's just Sludge Metal.
@@noesunyoutuber7680 Or Stoner Metal 🤣🤣😂😂
Every time Doom is mentioned, I can't help but think of the videogame.
These pedals are a lot of fun. He had Nick Williams (formerly of Dunwich Amps) design it for him. Nick used to make some truly disgusting sounding pedals, and now he farms out his design services to other companies. He made a preamp pedal called The Thing That Should Not Be. It’s the preamp section of a Mark 2 C+ with the Aphex Semi Parametric EQ. Straight up Master of Puppets tone. He also had a great modded HM-2 with a lot of options. He has designed a few pedals for Steve at Does it Doom.
Does it Doom is awesome!! Love their pedals!!
Does It Doom has a whole line of mostly one knob pedals including clones of Tony Iommis rig, Matt Pike’s High On Fire rig, I have both of them and they kick ass, the Matt Pike one is an 8 knob distortion preamp based off two amps running at the same time, it is as loud as it is intense and fantastic
@@mikethemusicman4267 I got the walpurgis in the purple splatter pattern and it's my favorite pedal OAT
Sounds good!!
What are the name of the pedals mate
@@billymcneill5015 The Walpurgis and The Baghdad.
Putting the Messmer statue on full display. Love it.
I can feel this pedal pumping the hell out of the speakers 🤘
My 2 favorite RUclipsrs in one video! This is the crossover we were waiting for!🤘Ola, you really need to try the Baghdad pedal from Does It Doom. You will love it.
Got that Entombed Left Hand Path sound
@@BongHuffingCaravan I was thinking the very same thing. Can't say I hear the doom sound Im used to..
Would definitely rip out demon on it lol
Reminds me of the Guardian of the Wurm which is also kind of a Doom-ier version of an HM-2
Those drums remind me of BLS 1919 eternal era, the pedal sounds gnarly but that 29 scale Solar stole the show 🤘🏻
Perfect pedal for death/doom... hm2 + extra fuzzy
Aaahh. Doom metal not Mick Gordon DOOM.
Shit
not gonna lie. I was a bit dissappointed.
@@keinname1896 Same lol.
@@keinname1896 😂 same dude
@@keinname1896me too 🤣
I own every one of Steve's pedals. They are amazing.
That’s some nice light distortion
I love, ripping huge Monolord riffs with this kind of pedal.....crushing tones.
So awesome you did this!!!! 2 of the best content makers on YT ever!! Its just awesome to see this!
I love it ! I like the aggressive tone.
You know who was first, dude! Stop being so modest 😆
The problem with the whole doom category of pedals is the plastic orange monster known as the Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz that can be had for $29, all day every day. Set the voice switch between the two fuzz tones and the world crumbles. It's really hard to justify anything else.
I know. Sweetwater was pushing those awhile back. When I ordered a Carcosa fuzz, which I love, my Sweetwater guy was like, you should get this pedal too (SF300)" so I did. And it is a killer fuzz too!
The Behringer HM-2 clone is also pretty decent but I never compared it against a real on in person though
it's an awesome sounding pedal but those behringer boxes break super easily if you gig with them
@@purpled4864 The solution to that is just leave the pedal on the whole time and set it on your amp
The Behringer pedal is very close to an HM-2. I have both, as well as 15 other clones.
I still favour one of my Boss pedals over all the others (except a Pepers HM2MC, which is almost perfect).
Sounds like the first couple Bloodbath albums!
It sounds like the HM2
EEEEAAAATTTTTEEN!!
You should do this more often, more doom!
Trick for doom: play your chugs but play at half, or even quarter, tempo. 😋
I love the DOOM SAW! I let my bands guitarist use it from time to time and I swear people are always blown away when they hear it!
DID pedals are amazing. His Bagdad range are brutal
WORLDS COLLIDING!
Awesome seeing Ola dooming out with a badass pedal!🤘
Hell yeah 🤘 love my Doom/Sludge and Stoner so great to see you try it Ola cheers
Steve at does it doom is a great dude. Dope video
I thought he was gonna attempt running doom on an amp screen but i guess this works as well
This is the best collab
But does it run Doom is the fundamental question we propose time after time. To me it sounds a lot like TC Eyemaster/HM-2. Has that chainsaw element.
The Baghdad pedal is fantastic.
Yesssssssssss the doom series finally 🔥🤘🏻💀
There are three stages of what "Doom Metal" means:
1) Very slow metal
2) Mick Gordon's OST
3) Slayer MIDI riffs in blues progression, with harmonization on the second loop
My body needs Ola to choose option 3.
For Doom Metal, I'm old school and really love Candlemass' tone. They are one of my all-time favorite bands. Cathedral had a great tone as well. I don't think Candlemass used the fuzz type pedals and amps, but "chug" amps with mids and bass turned up, and guitars tuned down to D, etcetera. 🤘
Great Demo Ola,
Awesome to see you featuring one of the many great pedals by Does It Doom!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh yeah 💪🏼
Ola, my dude, if you did some more Doom Riffs, I'm all for it!! Holy crap man, that opening bit was nasty as fuck, and we definitely need more of that.
I love that pedal! Warm fuzzy....
I like those simple pedals that are straight forward.
Great demo
Love both channels!
Sorry... The Jam you played in the beginning was insane
Get your Matt Pike on 🤘
That burp with Delay/Reverb on it absolutely killed me XD
The combining of the Mega Powers… it’s happening
Love the Does it Doom series of effects.
I have a few pedals from does it doom. They make great pedals.
The wheep sound at 6:03 is from the album "Slow deep and hard" from "Type O negative" :D
I looked it up. They have a new version available with this added (copy/pasted from the website) ***New for this version is an internal LEVEL control trimpot so you can dial back the output for less boost / low volume play or leave it cranked for unparalleled punishment and chainsaw fury!***
Sounds pretty good! Great demo 🤘🖤 I just got the Bardic Audio Devices HM Demon and I'm pretty blown away with its versatility and performance. My favorite HM2 variant so far!🧡🖤
This reminds me a tiny bit of the ancient Dod Death Metal Pedal that obviously had a lot more controls but was just the harshest, highest hard clipped gain imaginable without any adjusting it! lol. *It even sounds highly similar and like the concept was reversed; no EQ controls but a single knob for the intensity.*
Omg I had one of those pedals. I saw it and went death metal pedal? Blood splatter finish? Bet that sounds sick, I was very wrong 😂
@@Metaldad87 oh, it definitely sounded sick but without a gain control it was all or nothing lol. If you're after chainsaw grind and the pinch harmonics of Satan, that thing is still untouchable.
I have one in my electronics lab I should reassemble and mod a gain control into it.
Part of me is curious to see if it will actually stack on dirty channels but most of all, with valves. With control over the distortion it should be the ultimate pedal for valve amps giving you the "new guy" sound of the rhythm players that have stuck with solid-state. I love my valve amps but still prefer my solid-states.
DOD Death Metal seems like it was intended as a clone of the same Boss HM-2 this pedal was based on, but they just winged it instead of actually reverse-engineering an HM-2. Ridiculous pedal, I have the Digitech rissue and it's singularly nasty but just way too much. Actually most popular with harsh noise guys.
@@noesunyoutuber7680 I'll compare the schematics tomorrow and get back to you on that. I have an ampeg HV-140C distortion, a Crate GLX lead distortion and a GX lead distortion that sound near identical but are significantly different circuits inside. The GLX and Ampeg use a similar scheme with clipping diodes for compression before they clip, but otherwise are vastly different circuits.
Really grainy and raspy distortion is primarily due to semiconductors having much greater bandwidth and Fidelity than valves but it also means the higher the fidelity of the circuit the more you hear absolutely everything.
When I get into fairly complex material shredding and sweeping I usually warm up on my tube amps but for the ultimate in sound, will always prefer solid state hands down. Once I'm playing clean enough the way it sounds on solid state, the best of tubes just simply cannot touch but like I said, YOU HEAR EVERYTHING so most lead players will always prefer tubes.
The death metal pedal for shredding solos and sweeps requires the fingers of Jesus Christ himself for it to come through clearly and defined lol!
There's a lot I like about that ultimate raspy gritty and just flat out evil sound only solid state has but there are far more refined versions of it like the Ampeg and the GLX. The dod with a gain control will probably be the holy Grail of death and thrash distortion though.
Blimey, that sounds hefty
Entombed sounding...Love it! 🤘
Big Bolt Thrower sound vibes
Recently got the Doomsaw and absolutely love how pummeling it sounds.
That's why I like my TC electronic Eyemaster. It has gain and volume, you can use it both ways, as boost and as distortion. With gain on zero it just turns your distortion into a chainsaw, no background noise, readable sound, you can adjust the distortion as you like
Ok..I just had a flashback when playing Icewind Dale and my Bard would go on the "Doom song" to boost me in battles....."doom, doom, dooooooooom, doorium...dooommmm". lol
Steve is the fucking MVP. I learned so many awesome songs from his youtube and patreon
I’d love to see Does It Doom make a couple of these single knob pedals with a second knob. A dry blend.
So bassists can imitate those tones that are usually acquired by running 2 rigs. A clean and a dirty rig then splitting your signal and blending the two to have that incredible fuzz tone but then really getting that wall of sound by putting the balls back in it by blending in the dry tone.
The dry blend also helps with guitar because if you put the dry tone back in at a barely audible level it’ll tighten up the chugs but still allow you to be fuzzed out as all hell.
props to Steve , props to Ola, ...this vids a win win!
Been waiting on this demo since the Doomsaw came into existence lol. Nonetheless awesome stuff from both Steve and Ola.
You are the man Ola
Hear me out… split the signal by frequency, and run the doom on the upper, and a regular chug on the lower. With some tweaking, perhaps you could get a punchy tone that had enough perceptible buzz. If someone achieves this, I designate the tone: ‘CHUGSAW’!!!
Sick! I love it.
Ola my god finally we getting into Doom Metal yess now we're are complete 💯
I’ve got the DA-120 & Bower Power, I just can’t help but smile each time I turn them on really awesome pedals all around.
1:16 😂 I remember that Banjo Kazooie character
Solid demo. Steve and Nick make some killer pedals . You should try out the Bower Power OD . I think you would really like that one .
Love the does it doom line! Insane tones. Do the matt pike Baghdad next please!!
That 29 inch scale guitar had such a spanky clean tone you could play some mean ass funk on it.
I chuckled when he was like “eh it’s clean tone, whatever.” Sounds really nice.
I like how huge fuzz pedals project the bass frequencies as oppose to OD/DIS... It's another world.
Hail Conan! SLEEP! Fu Manchu! Yob! All the fuzz masters!
i want the HM2 guitar feedback to be my morning alarm
and my ringtone
that model is amazing !
Has a good Dismember tone to it right out of the box
One of the sonic observations that I am never in my lifetime able to get my mother fathom with
I'm a sucker for that Entombed tone
I love it I want one now !!
That Pantera riff on that rig was insane.
Ola, you should consider doing a "Doom Project" CD.
"Grief" knob is absolute genius 👏
Yup
I bought one right when they came out and kinda forgot about it! Time to get it back out and f- around!
"Doesitdoomguy" I see what you did there mate.
that doom pedal sounds so GOOD
I'll have to buy it one day
Yeah, that sounds pretty aggressive. I like it.
Sounds good Ola \m/
Reminds me of Korns "Life is peachy" guitar tone, just dirty and gritty with crushing .... crunch !
Sounds Like 2 Fuzz Pedals in a row
Total brutal 🤘
Oh man, this is sick. lol. Ola needs to get one of his alumirite and/or woodrite guitars on here. They’re so sick.
Ultimate chainsaw experience at 5:13 😂
As long as it was with clean amp, i liked it... A um300 + EQ Pedal has you also covered with doom sound's...
We need more @DoesItDoom pedals on Ola’s channel!!!
All we need is some face/corpse paint and Ola's in business.
I listen to all sorts of doom metal. Like stoner doom, goth doom, funeral doom, and death doom
