Thanks, great tutorial! It's easy to understand, so my first try went quite well. I didn't really see the point of the first circle, though. That just seems to add a few more steps. So, for my second try I dropped this. Instead, to construct the equidistant three points, I drew a horizontal line, chose my first point on the left side of that line, chose the radius and did my first circle (or part of the circle). The second point is where the circle crosses the horizontal line on the right side. Then I did the circle around the second point, and the third point is where the two circles cross. I find this much simpler, and there are fewer potentially confusing lines to deal with. If you'd want it to be exactly in the middle of the ark, you'd have to do a bit of measuring. I just eyeballed it because I am still practising anyway.
Glad you found it helpful, there are always different ways to do it, and the way you've used is, I think, a method I've used in a previous video. I've been making six-fold versions of this shape too and so find the circle helps me with that though you're right, it's not totally necessary!
These videos are a delight to watch. Can't to try this one!
Glad you like them!

I enjoyed constructing this, thank you Lou.
You're welcome!
