It is called Farwell to the Fatherland, when Poland was under bloody cruel occupation 123 years. Polish soldiers who had survived the uprisings and were imprisoned later were sentenced by Russian courts to leave their land and families forever. They were leaving somewhere to Siberia to die in solitude. That is why this piece of music is bigger than life for those Poles who know their country history.
Incredible fact: this polonaise was the first worldwide hit. There were no gramophones yet, so notebooks with sheet music were selling fast. But there was no copyright either, so Ogiński didn't earn a dime from it.

Such a beautiful rendition of a Lithuanian classical music jewel :) I sincerely hope you post some more of Natasha's videos since it's an absolute delight listening to her playing (you've certainly done a very good job), and I SO loved her sweet smile at the end!
