I saw The Master and There Will Be Blood both this past week (again), and remain blown away by his ability to make a flawless product again and again.

"These four men and Greta Gerwig" is the most meme-worthy quote of all time. I love Emma Stone and I love Greta Gerwig, but that was very disrespectful. I'd argue it's disrespectful to Gerwig too because she's being singled out because of her gender. It doesn't matter who the director is because they're all equally important. I LOVED Lady Bird, and I think Greta absolutely deserved her directing nomination. But I wouldn't say her name while not referencing the other four directors just for a fucking political statement.

She would not win, but she did do smth exeptional by just getting nominated as a woman, by just becoming a director even, and it is not offensive to anyone to point it out, it is the actual state of the industry, and her big achievement.
