    They may complain that Puss in Boots did not win, but come on people, This Oscar mainly deserved it for Pinocchio by Guillermo Del Toro, and not only because it is Guillermo Del Toro or from Netflix, but because Del Toro gave him this movie with a lot of dedication and heart with the help of stop motion, and that had to wait a long time for it to finally be worth all that this Oscar deserved.

    Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio is a legendary horror director's dark take on a classic fairy tale.

  • @optimusprime5945
    @optimusprime5945 Год назад +5

    Guillermo del Toro is known for his use of insectile and religious imagery, his themes of Catholicism, anti-fascism, and celebrating imperfection, underworld motifs, practical special effects, dominant amber lighting, and his frequent collaborations with actors Ron Perlman and Doug Jones.

    Guillermo del Toro's masterful artistry and the magical storytelling he was known for are both on display in Pinocchio. The film layers onto the classic fairy tale thicker themes about father-son relationships, the meaning of life, religious zeal, and the absurdities of war and authoritarian rule.

    Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio is one of the best family movies on Netflix so stop-motion animation brings the puppet turned real boy to life. The movie's visuals are stunning, and the story is an emotional one that will tug on the heartstrings of the audience while still giving them a happy ending. The movie scored the best animated feature wins at the Golden Globes, the Annie Awards, Critics Choice and the Oscars.
