      Sure thing! The only potential issue is that if you're focused all the way to infinity, you might not be able to insert/remove the filter, because although the filter is fine, the frame doesn't quite clear. If that happens, just rack back a little on focus, and then remove/insert.

      Haha, I try. Another RUclipsr BLOCKED ME because I said this combination worked, when he didn't believe it. So I figured I'd just post the video and let people find the information if they needed it. #theTruthisOutThere

      @@nick_salazar OMG! Blocked you? Why do peeps have to adopt a position on this, rather than go with actual proof one way or the other? So much voodoo in this industry - makes us noobs quite confused 🙂

      It’s possible he has an older version of the adapter and that’s why it doesn’t fit for him. I tried commenting that… And that’s when I discovered I was blocked from his channel.

      (And yes, I tried a couple more times to be sure it wasn’t just my connection or something like that).

    Thank you Nick! have you found any drop-off in sharpness when you use the Breakthrough VND filter?

    • @nick_salazar
      @nick_salazar  3 месяца назад +1

      Not at all. It does add significant warmth, something like 300-500 degrees kelvin. But it's at least consistent, it doesn't get much warmer throughout the range of 1 stop to 9 stops. Either way, just be prepared to adjust temperature compared to a clear or no filter setup.

    Does the Arles PL work fine with the DFM on the Raptor?

    • @nick_salazar
      @nick_salazar  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes the Arles all have much shorter flange depths. They work with the DFM, even if you have a rear KOOP filter attached. They work with Mofage Poco as well, and even speed boosters.

    Do you know if they clear the Mofage Poco?

      EDIT: sorry, no they will NOT clear the Mofage poco.

    • @nick_salazar
      @nick_salazar  3 месяца назад +1

      Sorry, they will NOT clear the Mofage. The Breakthrough DFM and the Kippertie Strata ND are the only VND adapters which will clear the Athena lenses.

      @@nick_salazar damn…thank you for the info. Unfortunately that’s a deal breaker for me

    • @nick_salazar
      @nick_salazar  3 месяца назад

      @@Artfulscience1 yeah, something to be mindful of. The DZOFilm Vespid should clear your Mofage adapter though. So will the Meike FF primes, the Rokinon Xeen CF, and the Dulens APO primes. None of those perform quite as well as the Athenas. For me, I decided the more expensive Breakthrough adapter was worth its higher price, it makes working with these lenses a breeze.

      @@nick_salazar great information, thank you. I’m new to PL and I had no idea rear clearance was a thing when I bought the mofage. I’m trying to sell my set of sigma art stills to buy a 35mm Arles but alas, totally backordered. So I looked into the Athena’s to find this issue, oh well. Might just have to wait it out.
